It's cool. I'm married to an attorney and her brain gets all jumbled up from thinking all week. Luckily, I have one of those jobs where I don't have to use my brain so I write on MGoBlog and play sudoku to keep from getting Alzheimer's. |
| 2 hours 6 min ago | Not to sell Griese short, but |
Not to sell Griese short, but he wasn't really like Kovacs in that regard. He was recruited, and promised a scholarship once one opened up (and because his dad was an ex-NFL player, had no problem with this). He was much more like a grey-shirt situation than a true walk-on, certainly not like a student body walk on. |
| 2 hours 9 min ago | Henne will always be my |
Henne will always be my favorite as well, mostly because the starters when I was a student were Navarre and Henne, and Henne wins that battle. Though I will always have a soft spot for Navarre for the same reason. I literally drove (with friends) from AA to Pasadena for the Navarre Rose Bowl, and although we lost, that was a badass trip. |

I know it's a club sport, but Mr. Rager said wrestlers were the worst "group of athletes" on campus, so I thought a club sport might qualify. And i really disagree about your first point. The rugby team is good and they aren't just a group of rich kids (though I'm sure some of them are both rich and good at rugby, like almost any sport). |

I think what he is saying is that you are confusing plea bargain with settlement. I settlement is where you agree to something outside of court. A plea bargain is where you agree to a lesser charge in exchange for pleading guilty. |

Sure, Scout gives out more 5-stars than Rivals, but not by a ton, by like 50%. And we picked up a 5-star center from them just last year. |

Does rugby count? Those dudes were nuts and often dangerous. |

The under isn't such a sure bet anymore. Especially if this goes to three games. |

Don't act so excited. |
| 8 hours 26 min ago | But my point is that athletes |
But my point is that athletes can often play more than just the position for which they were recruited, and often times play it very well. Fans need to slot every player into one position or another, but when you recruit good athletes, you can sort out their position later. Many of them change after a year or two anyway. |

Ahhhh why does their soft schedule have anything to do with them being a top 10 team? This reasoning drives me bonkers. |

I knew this already. |

Hopefully we can get back to the top of that graph of NFL players. Will take a couple years, but we'll be there. |

And Woodley. Oh so much Woodley. |

He's as much a SAM as Beyer is, and reports are that he's doing pretty well there. There isn't nearly as much difference between WDE and SAM in our defense as some people think. |

Ok please win this series and also please win Kings so I can go to the Western Conference Finals and talk some smack to my neighbors. We've been cheering for each other so far, but that will all change next week! |

Yeah, but this is not the place for that. This is very clearly a make fun of Charlie Weis thread. FUPA. |

In a fairness, Weis's food budget is likely 10 times that of Brian Kelly, so that makes sense. |
| 1 day 1 hour ago | OK, I didn't necessarily mean |
OK, I didn't necessarily mean they'd only struggle with the good teams, but that Purdue game is certainly part of my evidence. If Purdue was a good team, they would have won. Same with MSU and Indiana. If you replace those teams with their SEC equivalents, and OSU probably loses all three. Probably Cal and Wisconsin too. And unlike UGA, OSU would get clobbered by Bama in the championship game. |
| 1 day 1 hour ago | Agreed. They were probably |
Agreed. They were probably like Georgia last year. Beating the not so good teams, struggling with most of the good teams and beating one good team. Georgia also had an easy schedule from SEC standards, and they still dropped a few. |
| 1 day 2 hours ago | But don't you have to do some |
But don't you have to do some "IF" scenarios to do a poll? Most of the teams don't play each other, so unless you rank 100% based on record, there is a little hypothetical guessing involved. This happens with all of the mid-major teams. People say that 11-2 NIU is more like a 3 or 4 loss BCS team, because if they played in a major conference, they'd lose a couple more games. We don't know that. But without that speculation, you're left with "standings" and not "rankings." |
| 1 day 2 hours ago | Well, his second sentence is |
Well, his second sentence is about this year. He's saying that OSU would lose 4 games in the SEC. If he thinks that, he shouldn't put them above an SEC team he thinks will lose 4 games as well. I think his first statement was saying that OSU wasn't really as good last year as their record suggests since they came very close to losing a handful of games (some of which were to bad teams) but that is too many characters for twitter. One problem with twitter is someone's point can get misconstrued because of the need to be overly succinct. But perhaps he should have said "nearly lost" instead of "should have lost." Personally, I don't disagree with either of his points. Like ND, OSU was a handful of plays away from 8-4, but unlike ND, didn't really beat anyone in the process (other than us, which was in Columbus). |

My guess is Swen does not come here. His son, however, is much more likely. |
| 1 day 2 hours ago | UPDATE! |
Our newest patojito now big enough for his M hat. And he'll be home in time for Memorial Day festivities - he gets discharged on Saturday morning! EDIT: Not sure why it's so big. He's actually very small in real life. |

Are you referring to Rosen? His HS is St. John Bosco. Don Bosco is in NJ. And Donny Brasco was Johnny Depp. |

The #56 player on that list is a pro style QB from my town. CA is stacked with QBs to say the least. |
