No trade

I might be mistaken, but I thought only 4 guys in the NBA had a no trade clause in their contract... Kobe, Dirk, Tony Duncan, and maybe Garnett (got it from SnT from Boston)...

I think you have to play with the same team for 8 seasons in order to get one...

Agreed

I thought the exact same thing!

Burke to Dallas

Dallas will probably be somewhere in the early teens and would have a dire need to go after a true point guard.  They have Collison on an expiring contract and have Mike James as their back-up so they'll be in the market during both the draft and in free agency next year.

They are going to go after Chris Paul, but there is NO way he's going to sign with Dallas.  So I think that the Mavs are either going to try to draft a true point guard OR they'll draft the tallest white guy available...

My grandfather used to work for Bo and since he passed away a couple of years ago, my grandma has slowly been giving his stuff to my dad and me...

This year, I got a Michigan apron signed by Ron Kramer, a piece of the field turf before they re-surfaced it in the early 90s, and an old school Michigan flag.

Not to mention she got my 10 month old a cheerleader uniform for next season...

A 2 mile walk from your hotel might be better than the walk some people have to make after parking... Good call!

High Def

I still blame ABC/ESPN for Denard's poor performance last week... forcing half of the country (or at least where I live) having to watch him in standard definition should be illegal and I'm sure caused some of those bad throws because of the horrible pixelation.

just an FYI

Although I don't know how this will affect how Iowa's defense approaches this week, I don't think Norm Parker will be at the game.  I'm not sure if their defense has operated any different since he's been out and who has been calling the defensive plays during the game...

But I hope you are right with how Iowa approaches it!

How would the world know?

Is Hoyer taking camera phone lessons from Brett Favre?

Chicken Rings

My best is on chicken rings!

Those things were awesome when I was in high school.  Of course I did always wonder what part of the chicken they came from.

So I understand that a lot of

So I understand that a lot of media and rival fans are saying that Denard hasn't played a tough run defense yet, but I wonder if it crossed their mind that the reason the teams we have played aren't ranked high nationally against the run because they have PLAYED against Denard.

I mean, when you play against a guy like Denard who shreds the defense for 200 yards on the ground by himself , isn't that going to cause the team to be ranked lower in run defense?

I'm not saying that any of the teams we have played are stout defenses, but I think that part of the reason that they are ranked where they are is in part to having played against Dilithium.

I can't wait for the next few weeks to see Dilithium run over teams that are ranked in the top 20 in run defense...

Seriously... ESPN really

Seriously... ESPN really missed the boat on this one... Anyway we can start a mass flood of emails to ESPN to petition and change their minds by Saturday? ha

That's what they call doing

That's what they call doing the "Lane Kiffin" now...

(I know he doesn't do it everytime but he seems to pick random times to try for it)

I think your 9 points  vs 7

I think your 9 points  vs 7 points thought might not be entirely accurate because it doesn't account for the possessions that Michigan will already be getting after the other team converts a field goal/td after we attempt the onsides kick.

I would think that if we convert 1 out of 4 then wouldn't the points look like this:

THEM - 9 points (3 possessions)

US - 28 points (4 possessions)

I mean you could even say, that if they stop us once and we only get 3 touchdowns (21 points) on the four drives and they get 3 field goals and a touchdown (16 points), we are still statistically at an advantage, if our defense can bend but not break more times than not.

But I do agree with you that is assuming a lot.

EDIT: You can disregard this as it appears I wasn't the first to bring this to light... That's what I get for having a thought to post, but then having to actually do WORK at work and postponing the post.

Bosses

* Lots of Illinois grads find their way to Chicago after graduation, where they run into lots of Michigan types professionally.  (The same can be said for some other Big Ten schools, of course.)

Some people may call these Michigan types -- bosses or managers...

I get excited about the

I get excited about the opportunity for Michigan to play in a bowl again, but can we hold off on the bowl predictions until we have 6 wins?  Preferably after the Michigan State game...

One the ESPN predictions:  My wife (a Baylor grad) has mentioned a few times about how Baylor* also shows up in ESPN's week 2 bowl predictions (it's pretty close to the highlight of her year when it comes to Baylor football since they haven't seen a bowl since '94).

*I remind her at least once a year about how Baylor was a part of Michigan's '97 national championship schedule...

Based on the History

Here's a great idea for a shirt...

Front: "Michigan Football"

Back: "Teaching the Irish how to play since 1887"

Warp Speed

Did anyone else see where Feldman mentions that Robinson's top speed could be "warp speed" -- If only he knew that was true and that Robinson is part dilithium...

If you go make sure to sport the 'Worst State Ever' shirt too...

I actually do agree with you

I actually do agree with you about Tate being more of a threat in the air... If you look at most of Tate's special plays from last year, majority of them were from the air, but try telling that to the DE from Notre Dame last year who is still looking for his jockstrap...

Drew Henson

Anyone else notice that Drew Henson is listed as a commentator for the Norfolk St. vs. Rutgers game on ESPN3?  Haven't seen or heard anything about him since he was cut by Detroit so it's good  to see he's getting back into football.

What am I supposed to do now

What am I supposed to do now if I can't start my morning at work with the CTK video?  I can't start working until after I've seen the video...

I completely agree... A rumor is actually getting information from a source close to the story... Just stating your own opinion on twitter is known as 'Navel Gazing' or 'Twiddling your dick'...

Yakety Sax and other comments

Two things:

1) I feel personally responsible for the turnovers in this game for some reason... A co-worker of mine was listening to ESPN radio here in Dallas and before every Wade Phillips press conference, they play the 'Yakety Sax' song. On Thursday before the game, I heard the song coming from his speakers... I feared that this was a bad omen but tried to forget about it*.

2) Right before Forcier was pulled, I remember the ABC sideline reporter commenting about how on the previous 3 and out, as Tate was coming off the field, RR was pretty frustrated and Forcier's response (according to the sideline reporter) was "I don't know what you want"... If true, this could have prompted RR's decision to sit Forcier (although I wish he would have put him back in with 1:40 left).

*I know that I personally have no ability to affect the outcome of each play, yet I still feel personally responsible.
