If he did show, the students could throw seat cushions and $8.00 waters at him.
Then someone can tell him the students wanted the marching band at the rally but they couldn't "afford" to send them.

Technically, Moeller wasn't fired. He was ordered a one year leave of absence for his drunken night in a restaurant to get his head together but he chose to resign instead.

They have no intentions of stopping the bleeding. Every time I think we've hit rock bottom, it gets worse.

The "Michigan Man" thing will never go away when it comes to football. After the RichRod disaster, it went on overdrive. And the people who were the most vocal about it were all the former players who I grew up watching and admired. Once Brady Hoke was hired, all these players kept saying, "Thank GOD we got a Michigan man." I remember Braylon in particular saying that a ton.
I love these guys. I still think of them as heroes. But they have got to STFU about this "Michigan man" thing. Bo was not a Michigan man when he was hired in 1968 and look what happened there.

Over the last 7 years, I've watched Michigan football sink to points of futility that I never thought possible. So at this point, few things shocked me anymore. I was wrong.
This whole Shane Morris saga seems unreal. Either way, Hoke looks like a fool. If he noticed it and still kept playing him, that's evil. If he didn't notice it (though I don't know how he couldn't) he's a clueless moron. How does a coach NOT miss the multiple instances of Shane's injury?

Does this team hate me? Is that why they're playing like this?

What's really sad is that Minnesota has bailed our defense out several times today. Their offense dropped a sure TD pass and a few bad throws prevented some wide open first downs.

Just like last week, we pin them inside their own 5 yard line and they go 60 yards in 4 plays.

What a load of crap. Northwestern should be up 21-0.

I don't like that.
If you yank the ball out of the receivers hands before his knees touch the ground and the ball is between his hand and his neck, that doesn't count as having possession, so no fumble?

God, you have no idea how much I'd love to see us beat the hell out of Penn State.
In every game, they play like sh*t against sh*t teams and then pull out a miracle at the end of the game.
Yet, I know when they play us for UTL III, they'll be up 14-0 in the first quarter.

You owe three apologies here, WD.
One to Rick Leach for not including the win over OSU in Columbus the next week and for the Rose Bowl on January 1st when USC got rewarded the Charles White phantom TD.
One to Shane Morris who started that toilet bowl game against Kansas State last year.
And one to Demetrious Brown, a lefty #7 who shared the starting QB job throughout the 1987 and 1988 seasons, AND who won us the Rose Bowl over USC on 1/1/89.

I know folks write off the Toldeo loss because the team was 3-9. But that still hurt. That Toldeo team was awful themselves, also finishing 3-9 with a much lighter schedule. They got destroyed at home by Florida International.
That game also marks the only time I've ever seen a 100 yard interception return for a touchdown. Thank you, Nick Sheridan.

I'm dead on the inside so I guess that would make it acceptance.
If the 2006 version of me was told of all of the record lows that Michigan football would have over the next 8 years, I would not believe a single word of it. I'd say you were out of your mind.

Ohio State fans did it at Indiana in 1996 when they wrapped up their first Rose Bowl bid in 12 years. They tore down one goalpost and the Indiana football players had to stop them from tearing down the other one.
Michigan ended up beating them in Columbus the very next week. Back in the days when we didn't have to put up with this sh*t.

Does pointing out that Utah is 1-8 in their last 9 games outside the state of Utah help at all?

Epstein got a couple FG's of over 50 yards. But I remember him kicking wide right on many 35-45 yarders.
Epstein's kickoffs were the most memorable because they were almost always non-returnable. Against Eastern in 1998, he had a kickoff that went through the uprights.

Are you new? Us getting a field goal of 40 yards or more (sometimes 35 or more) is usually expecting too much. It's been that way for many years. Even during the pre-2007 days when Michigan actually looked like Michigan.

Some coaches film WAS in color in those days. Look at the 1969 Vanderbilt game on my channel, look at the 1970 MSU game highlights, look at all the highlights from the early 70's in the 'Schembechler Years,' video that was released by M-Den....all coaches films, all in color.
The colored highlights from that OSU game have got to be from coaches' film, even the end zone shot of Tom Slade pitching the ball to Billy Taylor on the touchdown.
My uncle was a student at UM at the time as was a family friend. My dad complained about not being able to see the game on TV. And it was mentioned in the book, ' The Ten Year War," that it wasn't televised.
I wasn't alive but I tend to trust those sources who were. It remains the only game from the Ten Year War that is impossible to find anywhere online and I think there is reason for that. But that's just my lame critical thinking skills at work here.

I was at that game and it wasn't cold at all. In fact, I took my coat off in the 2nd quarter. it was a beautiful day weather wise.
Now the previous week against Northwestern? That game was freezing. Rain, some sleet and ice. My toes were knumb despite me having three layers of socks on.

The 92 Purdue game was on ESPN, and featured the rabbit that got on the field and couldn't be caught for several minutes.
|2 weeks 14 hours ago||The last time THE GAME was||
The last time THE GAME was not televised was 1971. Michigan was 10-0 but OSU was only 6-3 so ABC figured the matchup wasn't worthy of being on TV, and America missed out on seeing Woody Hayes lose his sh*t and throw the sideline markers at the refs after the Thom Darden interception.
As far as I know, only twice in the 70's was a Mich/MSU game televised...on ABC in 1975 and 1979. ABC chose to air Michigan's game with Minnesota in 1976 over our game with Sparty. MSU was not relevant to get any national attention...when all was right with the world.
I've been told the 1994 Minnesota game at the big house was not televised. My copy of the game, that I traded for online, is from some network in Minneapolis that aired the game.
Likewise, Michigan's games against Wisconsin in 1988 and 1990 were not televised, as far as I know, in Michigan. But some Wisconsin station broadcasted them and I got the copies. The commentators are awful Badger homers and once we're up by 50, they start taking jabs at us and Bo, which is really funny. A Wisconsin fan taking trash about Michigan in 1988 would be the same as a New Mexico State fan talking trash about Alabama today.

Doing it "WolverineHistorian style" is actually editing, uploading and then banning obnoxious Cornhusker fans from your channel......because they won't leave me the hell alone about 1997 and how they would have "kicked our ass.".
Finally, whisper a few cuss words under your breath, do a few eye rolls and you've come full circle.
