Does anyone else find it interesting that Mark Bartlestein, big time agent and Josh's dad, isn't on that list? I get that Tim might have an in with this agent or something because of his dad, but you'd imagine that Bartlestein would be involved. Strikes me as a little odd.
State legislature got into a huge huff when other games got moved, because of the money they put towards renovations. Having the game at the new meadowlands or foxboro would be awesome, but even at Rentschler, I expect Michigan fans to buy a ton of tickets.
My experiences with their fanbase have been all bad, however this should be a solidly pro-michigan crowd with all the NY alum. Can't wait, I will definitely be there.
with moving the game. They got all worked up when Uconn scheduled games with Notre Dame at the Patriots Stadium (Gillette) because they had poured a lot of money into Uconn's stadium (Rentschler Field) and expected Uconn to play big games there. Moving to an NFL stadium would make Uconn way more money, but it is harder for students and the legislature may go up in arms again.
I think the fact that we are paired with Duke, means we are likely to be the evening game. Very often Duke plays the 9pm game, which would mean we are the 7pm game. I am hoping for that.
awesome and nuanced analysis. Watching without the benefit of replay, this is something that is nearly impossible to pick up.
Re: potential chop block, one thought of mine is that although a chop block is good in theory and would be good here, it takes your player out. If Dorrenstein gets just enough of this backside D end, he can also flow down the field, becoming a useful blocker for Denard if he breaks one and/or does his usual improvisation. Not a ton of D ends will make this type of play and even though this d end did, it was a very tough tackle at that.
piped in music the entire game, weird songs also, a mixture of 60's, 70's music with newer tunes. White out or not, will be a tough game. Their d line always presents problem, but I like the way our o line looks. Hopefully we continue to develop in the coming weeks.
anyone know of a good way to get some besides the obvious (stubhub/ebay, etc.)? They are crazy expensive right now. Went two years ago, plan on heading back.
The concern would be twofold. One, can they coach him up enough to actually play that position without an off-season to prepare. He probably hasn't played middle backer in a long time, or ever, so it wouldn't be "natural". Secondly, the issue would be against the mauling teams. Having Kovacs at MLB facing a guy like John Clay would be scary. Kovacs is a great form tackler, perhaps the best on the team, but would he hold up against a big O line and a big back banging on him all game?
It is unconventional for sure, but worthy of discussion. With Martin, a good middle backer would have a field day in this system, such a shame we can't find one.
will be a big area of concern next year. Although Obi and Jonas make tons of mistakes and are hard to count on, they have played a ton the past few years. Will Kenny Demens and JB Fitzgerald be able to fill the void? Hard to say as they have not played that much (though JB has played some). Also have to think about how to replace Van Bergen, he is steady and holds up relatively well at the point of attack.

The game is on Yom Kippur, so this time is not a huge surprise. Rutgers administration supposedly pushed for a night game.

Not good at all
real difference maker right now. Steals, offensive board, finishing.

according to Jason LaCanfora. Probably worth someone starting a thread. Shocking, I know.
to his career, that's for sure.

Anyone know of any sites to watch that don't require the new flash player? Admin rights required, I tried to work around it but couldn't. Thanks.
