Unfortunately this recruiting class is not going to be great. They are missing on every tackle prospect they've been after and that's after having the best line in the country last year. Missing out on both of the 5 star qbs in their home state is freaking brutal. NIL is absolutely not helping matters even though we should be one of the top players in that arena. Flipping kids at the end of the cycle is going to be awful tough to do when you're only offer to them is transformational. Evidently the powers that be at Michigan don't understand that transactional is transformational for 98% of these kids. It's going to be tough sledding 2 years from now when these classes need to be difference makers on the field and the talent gap is insurmountable. We've been waiting for a long time to get the results that we achieved last year only to turn around and shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly this offseason, to kill any momentum that we should've had this season in recruiting.
Kind of the perfect storm. All the off season crap that happened, combined with not wanting to do what every other college is doing with NIL. Offering a NIL package is not illegal at now, so when all these other schools offer life changing money to the point that if they bomb out in football they may never have to work. They're not going to pick a college that is only Offering a scholarship at this point. It sucks but this is where Michigan has now painted themselves into that corner. Hopefully they come around to at least get themselves on some sort of level playing field, if they don't in 2 years we will not be in a good spot on the field.
Harbaugh is absolutely sabotaging what should've been a banner year in recruiting. When he announces that he's going to the NFL we will end up losing a bunch of the 22 class. He will end up putting the program in another funk that will take a long time to recover from. Absolutely ridiculous that he's been holding the university hostage. I thought what purple face did was dirty, Harbaugh has went and made Kelly's exit look like child's play. Now Michigan will have to settle for a "C" grade coach. Thanks for everything Jim. I believe this off season will be big for JJ. If he's able to make some more strides, I could absolutely see him coming out on top. He's a more complete QB than Cade. Not trying to knock Cade he was what we.needed this year, JJ is a game changer
When was the last time Michigan had the most plays over 50 yards title? Ever or never before? If that was ever the case I don't remember it. This offense has been a joy to watch this year. I watched Michigan back when we used to be good. It's been so awesome for my kids to finally witness Michigan football at this level.
Beating Osu this year was the most special part. My son who is now 17 and his birthday falls on the game from time to time, had never witnessed a beatdown from Michigan in his life. Living in Ohio and being a Michigan fan has not been an easy thing his whole life. Needless to say we're enjoying this ride. Beat Georgia, GO BLUE!!!
It's really tough not to be a little bit of a star gazer definitely have to trust the coaches here. The run that Michigan is on right now will pay dividends starting in the 23 class I would suspect. Lot of young new coaches and the negative recruiting that was used against Harbaugh will be gone going fwd. These young coaches will be beneficial moving fwd also, lots of energy and very relatable to these young men. Selling success will be easier now also. What a great ride this has been!! Go Blue!!!
This will hurt with Conerly, however he's already been trending away from Michigan before this move. Riley was a huge hire for USC, that's the team moving fwd that's going to be a huge problem out west.

The front 4 need to hit the qb and rattle him, to where Stroud starts rushing passes, he's young and will make mistakes. DT need to be the real playmakers here. That should've been a position of strength all year with extra attention having to be given to our 2 DE"s but that has not really happened. We needed someone to be at least a Hurst lite player to really capitalize on our DE play, that would help tremendously against the run big time. It's good to see that they're trying to recruit the DT position again to fix what Brown did to that spot
Personally I think this is a better team than the revenge tour team. I would absolutely take our qb now over Patterson. This defensive scheme and DC vs Don Brown who got us obliterated by Osu. McDonald has done an outstanding job as a first year DC outside of the mSu game where he didn't have substitution figured out, seems to have a much better handle on that now. Gattis is doing a much better job I think also. I really liked Winovich he was just a great kid, but this defense now plays really well together and even with some deficiencies the DC is putting them in situations to succeed. McNamara, even though his numbers aren't astronomical he makes good decisions and doesn't put them in bad positions often. GO BLUE beat osu!!!

I remember watching Michigan beat osu pretty regularly but those days are long gone. I'm to the point now that I don't know what kind of miracle has to happen for this to take place, I hope every year but we all know how many times this has happened over the last 20 years. According to Chris Balas, Keegan wanted to play against NW but was held out and in street clothes. Hopefully he'll be available this weekend, he got 2 full weeks of healing time Hopefully that's enough time. I believe that everyone outside of Bell will be a go on Saturday. Harbaugh won't be divulging any information on injuries this week
Enjoy the W's right now because there's a strong likelihood there will be a couple L's later. The Big 10 East has 4 teams playing at a high level, it will be tough winning all of them. Going into the season Michigan had one of the toughest schedules in all of college football, so far they've passed every test. In the past Harbaugh has struggled to win these types of games, that was a really tough environment to play in last night. Despite records nebraska is a tough football team with an offense that's tough to defend. Past years we under Brown we lose that game by 2 TD's. Our boys played for the most part disciplined defense and fought their tails off. Enjoy this win and this team for the next 2 weeks before having to worry about Northwestern. Go Blue!!!
With the QBs we have currently, if we had DPJ, Nico and Black can’t help but think that would’ve been an outstanding trio with McNamara or McCarthy that can throw the long ball with precision. Man that could’ve been an explosive offense.
Watching Wisconsin, I believe their run defense is pretty good. Our O-line will be critical to our success for sure. They haven't been tested like they will in that game. What worries me is how McNamara played against Washington, he was jittery at home so how will he handle the pressure on the road in a raucous environment. His first road game as a starter in front of fans
Milton has all the measurables, but his accuracy is only decent for 10- 20 yards and even then it's a rifle shot. Maybe there's still someone out there that can reign that arm strength in and get him to out some touch on the ball if not all his arm strength will be for naught.

I want Harbaugh gone yesterday!! I think the problem goes much deeper though, there's something systematically wrong at Michigan. Football is not a priority anymore its just an extracurricular activity, until Football means something to the powers that be and they let things flow we will be nothing more than a mediocre program at best. Having a coach that can evaluate and develop the talent we are able to recruit is extremely important. We also need to be able to recruit and land players like an OSU, Alabama, Clemson in order to get to that next level. Right now there's such a talent gap that its almost impossible to be on the same field. Right now we have walk ons playing and when OSU has someone go down they have another 4,5 star sitting on the bench just waiting. Our depth is terrible, getting to the top seems like an almost unattainable goal right now. Never thought 6 years into Harbaugh coaching we would be this bad.

Did Purdue have a talent disadvantage last year? How about Iowa? The problem is ohio puts such an emphasis on NOT losing this game and Michigan has no idea how to win this game. I was worried about their defensive line killing our Oline and Michigan not being able to stop the run like they could not against Wisconsin. Well they couldn't stop the run. Throw in a bunch of mistakes and you have 56-27. Sucks on so many levels
Maybe some of the recruits that we recently missed on will have a change of heart. Start hitting on some more of these top recruits and Coach H. could make this team an absolute juggernaut.
