I still have my wristband of plays from my two time championship Flag Football juggernaut, The Polish Armada. A little more West Coast offense than spread for Brian's taste, to be sure, but effective. Deadly effective.

Cook also missed 1.5 games, had a competent defense and run game, and frankly, played his best in clutch games for Mich St. The comment that he and Burbridge basically kept MSU in the game against us single handedly is subjectively true. This is where statistics can lie.

until the cider mill donut and hot apple cider stand re-opens! That was my go-to pre-game concession purchase.

Are they typical Nike's in that they're mostly for narrow feet people?

|3 weeks 6 days ago||I wouldn't call the helmets "matte"||
I'd go with semi-gloss or satin. they have a little sheen to them (see the photo of the Jourdan Lewis mockup), but they're not the clear-coat high sheen / new-car-finish seen in previous years. The bowl year matte helmets were definitely matte... they had little to no shine on them, even in bright sunlight.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Actually no||
The branding on the uniforms themselves is very subtle and NOT huge and loud. Single jumpman logo over left chest numbers on shirts, and jumpman logo on sides of pants, just below waist. Very classy.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Yes and no||
Blues have shoulder numbers. Whites appear to not.
Numbers are solid colors with no trim (blues have maize #'s, Whites have blue #'s).
No obvious sublimation patterns either. White socks.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Quick summary||
Home blues look very traditional. Jumpman logo is really understated on the jersey and pants.
Aways are all white again with maize/blue trim on sleeves and down length of pants.
No obvious changes to helmets. WHEEW

Lions weren't going to replace Calvin Johnson with one guy. Boldin gives them the big strong receiver that can outmuscle a smaller CB, Jones has the speed on the outside, and Tate is still running around in zone holes made by the others. I expect a lot of 3 WR sets for Stafford to throw from this year.

Good in the sense that we probably have a bunch of players who aren't threats to leave after Year 1 or 2, but bad in the sense we don't have that dynamic scoring frosh that can carry the team for periods of time like we had the last two years. That being said, we're probably looking at a class with a starting level goaltender and a bunch of 2nd / 3rd line forwards, and at least a solid 2nd pairing defenseman. Good class if you have a lot of scoring depth already or have a hyper offensive recruit coming the next year. For this team, right now, it's probably a net negative in comparison to what we lost for next year. We will need improvement from multiple returnees and maybe the frosh goalie to steal the starting job to be a B1G title contender next year.
We very well may be looking at the abyss of a Pre-season Conference Favorite.... Penn St Nittany Lions.

or kingdoms that operate as a single political entity for most international purposes. The countries of England and Wales are united by an annexation of Wales into the kingdom of Great Britain which was formed after the conquering of Scotland by England (and the associated Acts of Union). The Kingdom of Northern Ireland has the same monarch as Great Britain, so the formal title of the soverign state is the 'United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland".
FIFA recognizes individual nations within a confederation or soverign state concept but not incorporated territories, hence England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all having individual teams. The Olympic Commitee recognizes Soverign states and federated territories only, which is why Great Britain competes at the Olympics (not England), but Puerto Rico and the USVI are allowed separate Olympic teams from the main US team.

Seems like Bale put it perfectly bended around the wall and at the corner. I'd give credit more to Bale than blame to Hart.
The Welsh Black Knights have come to play.

I am highly disappointed in Coach Harbaugh's misuse of classification markings. I will volunteer to assist him in this effort.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||I don't understand the Wondo fascination at this point||
Sure he can score goals in MLS, but he's shown time and again he's just not a world class striker. Morris, even at this age, seems to have that dynamic scoring ability shown by world class strikers. Sure there's a different skill set, but unless Wondo is there specifically to replace Dempsey in case of injury / fatigue, Morris's skill should have won the day.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||Aw nuts||
I thought I saw Morris was re-added because of an injury (Altidore's?) Oh well.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||Because of the US depth at striker / forward||
I expect Klinsmann to demand the forward corps run ragged and press knowing that he has Morris, Pulisic, and Nagbe ready to insert. Because of the development of Brooks & Yedlin, substitutions won't have to be wasted on defensemen. I expect a fast attacking counter set performance, and I frankly wouldn't be surprised is USMNT wins its group.
OTOH, if the injury bug pops up and Guzan sucks / Tim Howard has aged noticably, we could be out without winning a game. Highly variable outcomes for me which makes this tourney interesting.

It just looked bad from the outside, but it had all the features you'd possibly want in that class of vehicle. Same with the Pontiac Vibe. They both suffered from some poor exterior finish choices and, sadly, the Pontiac nameplate.
If you want an example of the same thing, but the other way, look no further than the Ford Flex. As my aunt says, "as long as you can get past how it looks on the outside, it's a FABULOUS car and the best ride I've ever had in a crossover vehicle"

I (a 38 yr old male) would take my two oldest kids (aged 6 & 3) to see Star Wars, Zootopia, or Space Jam. I would not take them to see Invincible, Race, or the high school football movie. If I'm Michigan I'm hoping for either Star Wars (widest, most passionate fan base hitting both townies and students still in town) or Zootopia (hoping for more drag along ticket sales from all the families in the area with a relatively newer popular kids movie).

* What's with all the marble sea lions / seals near all the bathtubs / jacuzzis? Me thinks there's a fetish diagnosis there waiting to happen
* Notice how all the stuff "normal" people would want to highlight like trophies / awards, gold ball plaques, etc (and I bet his diploma) are in the small drop ceiling "basement" room. The "office" areas in the upstairs are perfectly manicured from a presentation point of view with NO personalization / character (I bet even the books are perfumed with an artificial mahogany & leather odor). Perfectly staged... just like Brandon's life.
* And along with that, there's SO MUCH GLASS in that house. Form the windows, to the artwork, to the cabinets full of glass ware and sculptures. I couldn't live there in a million years even if I had the money because I have three kids. Again, me thinks the person who lives there has a "fragile" personality...
* I'm not a civil engineer by any means, but with that house on that much of a slope near a steep drop off to the river, that place seems like an erosion disaster waiting to happen in 20 years...
* and finally, the listing said a "2 story" garage.. I only saw one. Unless the 2nd floor garage is the one that backs right up to the master bedroom suite. So that Brandon can act out his Batman fantasies.

Let UAA, UAF, Simon Fraser, Arizona St, Air Force and Army play together in the same conference. call it a "Great Western Conference" or something.

Yep, I think Bentley is the hidden dog in this fight. Anything Hockey East can do to make the conference even more tied to Boston's public transit system the league will be in favor of. You've got 7 schools right now that are on the MBTA system either by subway, bus, or commuter rail. You add one more in Bentley and I'm sure they'd jump at the reduced travel costs / room & board costs for their premier D-I sport. The only that makes more sens geographically would be Harvard, but no way they're leaving their Ivy League brethren.
