I've seen this on other fourms and apparently the original was posted over three years ago on a Mizzou board:

Edit: scratch that, I found an earlier version posted on a Scout board in 2009.  Apparently someone's been updating this thing over time.

I went with the chrome M as well.  Like a few others said, it looks like it's supposed to be there and really stands out against the black paint.

Disappointed in the lack of the "Saban cut my other sign" sign.  If it's there I haven't seen it yet.

1993 vs. Houston

I was new to Michigan and I remember scalping tickets with my dad and sitting in the south end zone, completely in awe of the place.  I don't remember much about the game except a drunk fan repeatedly yelling "Viva Las Vegas!" for Elvis Grbac who had since been drafted.  Good times.

I was fortunate to be a student from the '02 to '05 seasons, never missing a home game, and have been back a few times since.  But Braylonfest and UTL stand out the most.

Braylonfest was just incredible.  Everyone knew who the ball was going to, hell MSU knew who it was going to, but it kept working.  I was freezing my ass off because the game started at 3:30 and was roasting but once the sun set, the t-shirt was a terrible move.  None of it mattered after it was over.

UTL was nothing like I've ever seen in my life.  The whole day was unlike anything I've ever been a part of as a fan, starting from the all day tailgating (especially important since I was visiting from out of town) to the final TD.  It's the only time I can remember having that big of a smile on my face and being speechless for so long.

Close #3 is Manningham vs. Penn State in '05.  Not in the top 2 because it was fall break for students and I was missing many of my friends who went home.  The phone calls afterwards  were awesome though.

Equally close #4 is my first home game as a student, 2002 vs. Washington.  Brabbs redeeming himself was something none of us thought we'd see that day.

I agree re: Bilas but the issue I have is how he chooses to express his thoughts.  "Call a TO and tell them if Sullinger doesn't touch the ball they should have their scholarships revoked" is a bit dramatic.  Although maybe Saban was feeding him his lines.

I vividly remember screaming at the TV right before Langfeld shot saying "Why would you shoot from there??"

Also love seeing the old hockey brands like Koho and Branches.  Totally forgot about Branches - their sticks always looked so durable but I think I broke them the easiest.

Also love almost anything Rise Against for pump up music.

Just got through reading this powerful story...someone should send it to Phil Knight: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/01/22/1057341/-F (NSFW language)

Yeah actually in grad school

Yeah actually in grad school at UT, so they're my (distant) second favorite school now.  You'll enjoy it down here, I've had a pretty good time.

Don't know much about the Alumni club because I usually watch the Michigan games with classmates who went to Michigan.  There seem to be quite a few UM grads down here though.

Crazy, I'm down here in

Crazy, I'm down here in Austin and go away from my computer for 30 minutes and this happens.  The UT alumni magazine blog posted a quick article about it here:

http://alcalde.texasexes.org/2011/12/mack-brown-retiring-rubbish/

Quote from the article: "When I emailed Mack’s people for a response, they wrote: “You can say we said it doesn’t even warrant a response.”"

And they lost!  By a lot!  Yikes.

I couldn't let this happen.

Damn I made the gif but it's not playing.  I'm working on it.

EDIT: ok looks like this should work.  BEAT OHIO.

Not sure if Meijer's will have it but Bacon has said Nicola's and Barnes & Noble will both have it.

Could have sworn it sounded

Could have sworn it sounded like Pam Ward.  Oh well, good catch, ty sir.

I only saw the last few

I only saw the last few minutes but they mentioned "the emergence of Purdue's QB."  Caveat: Pam Ward said it.

Stats don't show much interesting info - Purdue gained 304 total yards, 16/25 passing for 178 yards.  126 rushing yards on 42 attempts (3.0 YPR).

Illinois gained more yards - 366 total, 26/41 passing for 245 yards.  121 yards rushing on 32 attempts (3.7 YPR).

The gif says it's 4th and 1

The gif says it's 4th and 1 so I thought it was just his way of bringing the swagger.

I was going to wait to post

I was going to wait to post this question til it was confirmed they were different...but now that I know they are, does anyone know when M-Den will get them in?  I was hoping they'd be there for tomorrow because of the alumni association's 20% off discount but I didn't seem them on the site today.

I was in a similar situation

I was in a similar situation as OP and offered them to a lot of friends/family who might not make it to games.  Eventually I found two people who could go and gave the tickets to them.

In the process, I found out Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washtenaw County is happy to accept ticket donations.  Their website has email addresses of people to contact.  You just mail them your tickets and they'll send you a tax deduction form at the end of the year.

I totally understand wanting to get money back, especially for season ticket holders.  But for people who may not have the time to hunt around for buyers for single game tickets, BBBS is a good way to help kids who might not otherwise be able to go to a game.

Just turned it on and saw

Just turned it on and saw that and almost spit out my drink.  Great stuff.

Definitely this imo.  It was

Definitely this imo.  It was a tremendous experience but we don't need to feel obligated to do one a year.

Definitely go.  There will be

Definitely go.  There will be so much tailgating it'll look like we all need crutches.

Not to say this is equivalent

Not to say this is equivalent to Denard, but your comment immediately took me to flashbacks of Donovan McNabb running all over us one game in the 90s (forgot what year), including running for a TD with one shoe on.

Edit: I guess it was '98.

Totally agree.  They're both

Totally agree.  They're both delis but I go to them at very different times.  M&B is on my agenda for ND weekend, haven't gotten back there in years.

In the interest of

In the interest of RAWK/Special K containment I'll just post this here instead of in its own thread.  I had a long drive home a few days ago and thought it'd be fun to put a video together to try and kill a few days before kickoff.  My minimal video editing experience was tested but I managed to finish it today.

To make it challenging I used only 2010 highlights and tried to keep a balance of offensive and defensive highlights.  It could have easily been the Denard show for four (hundred?) minutes.

The get off my lawn crowd (and frankly a lot of the non-GOML crowd too) probably won't like the music ("Architects" by Rise Against).  But I like the song and some of the message sort of applies to the team, so I went with it.

Enjoy!

Texas because I go to grad school there now.  But loyalty is forever to Michigan and loyalty has gotten more extreme the farther I move away from Ann Arbor.

First one to come to mind for

First one to come to mind for me was Braylonfest.

Others include 2002 vs. Washington when Brabbs kicked the game winning field goal after a miserable performance up to that point.  That was my first home game as a student.

The one that was the hardest to stick around for was the 2008 Wisconsin game.  Had to be one of the worst first halfs I'd ever seen, and then miracles started happening.

I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting, but those three + Manningham are top of mind.

Flying in from Texas Friday

Flying in from Texas Friday night, staying at a friend's house a 10 minute walk from the stadium, then reliving undergrad tailgates for 12 hours til game time.

So excited for this game.
