And they packed up and left. It might be a huge market, but that doesn't make it a great location for a NFL team. You need that solid fan base. I doubt the Bills leave Buffalo for LA.
Not sure what role you're hiring for, but I'm not sure this is true across the board. Students at less prestigious schools won't even get a look from many consulting firms or high finance roles.
This is probably true in some fields, but don't think you can make this wide a generalization. School definitely matters early in one's career, in my experience.
Is about the same ($325k for the one year or $332k over 10 years). This assumes 3% discount, 35% tax rate for Trey's one year, and 22% effective tax rate for the $50k/year. Those are pretty favorable assumptions towards not leaving. I think the ETR over 10 years could be higher and the 3% discount is pretty damn low. More importantly, this assumes that Trey would make no money in any of the other 9 years, which is not at all realistic.
Fact is, if it doesn't work out in the NBA, he can go to Europe and earn $80k a year. In the off-season, he can take classes towards a degree. I don't think there is a way you can splice this and think that it isn't a good financial decision, if he can make that $500k in the first year. To me, that's still a pretty big if.
Best of luck Trey! We'll always have MSU 2012, Part I.
Because Coachella and Lolla do about the same when it comes to booking, in my opinion. Last years Coachella headliners: Kings of Leon (headlined Lolla 2009), Arcade Fire (headlined lolla 2010), Kanye West (headlined lolla 2009), and the Strokes (headlined Lolla 2010).
I fail to see a significant difference there. Deadmau5 and and My Morning Jacket are pretty damn spectacular from Lolla last year too. And as mentioned above, the line-up top to bottom is generally outstanding.
This is also not explicit, and my previous post was deemed "trolling, so I'm hesitant to post it. But Bacon makes a remark in an inteview with Sam Webb at around the 6:40 mark of the podcast that can be found here that "any one who thinks this is a RichRod cheerleading excercise, please inform Rich of this...also inform his lawyers."
Again, that's not explicit disapproval, so draw your own conclusions.
That specific sentence might not mean that RR disapproves, but Brian indicated in his previous Three and Out post that RR is not pleased:
"Bacon's been banished to the Drew Sharp area of the press box, Michael Rosenberg is livid, Rodriguez himself is apparently hugely pissed. And while I can't confirm this like the above, I can't help but think that Lloyd Carr hates this book more than anything he's ever hated."
That, to me, indicates disapproval. Of course, I don't know what/who Brian's source is, but he also says that he can confirm.
We have a sizeable group going, and are thinking about bringing a keg up with us. Is this allowed in the campus lots? I ask because it is not allowed at Iowa. I looked in the game day guides provided on the NU website, and didn't see it mentioned, but want to be sure.
I love China Gate. I've stopped ordering kung pao chicken at other restaurants, as I'm always disappointed. China Gate set the bar too high.
I avoid Chicago Bagel Authority on Armitage in Lincoln Park, despite the fact that it's close to my place and actually pretty good. As soon as I found out it was OSU affiliated, it just wasn't the same. Petty? Absolutely. But it makes me feel better about myself.
I don't think Clay Matthews was suspended by the NFL for steroid use. Do you really think Nike would sign him to a deal if that was the case?
I think he's a great example. Former USC walk-on to NFL first round pick to defensive rookie of the year and defensive player of the year. I'd take that progression out of Brink!
Unfortunately, likely a pipe dream. It's happened before though.
This is unnecessary. Having participated in an all day night game tailgate at an SEC school a few years ago, I can say that people don't need their hands held like this. If you allow people to park at the normal time, most fans still won't show up until noonish. This is going to be a beast from a parking perspective.

Agree with everything posted here.
71-70 M wins
85 - 71 M wins
85 - 80 M
85-76 Meeechigan
31-0 Michigan
34-3 Michigan with the W. Illinois field goal in scrub time.
Wait, those were the teams in the Western Conference Finals this year, you say? What?

Booked my ticket this morning.
Just curious. Seems like the NCAA's rule change could benefit us with these cross country recruits.
Tell your side of the story. Lloyd had plenty of opportunity to do so, but never did.
Rodgers wasn't recruited out of high school either. He started at a juco.

Says they're "officially" prohibited in all B1G campus lots. Cans it is!

Thanks in advance!
Book it.
It's unsubstantiated, but alleged, that Craig James killed five hookers while at SMU.
but Carvin was a 3* who allegedly picked up a late SEC offer (from Tennessee?). Prior than that, he was very under the radar.
Either way, Furman and Johnson are second year players. Let's not write them off quite yet.
No, I think "technically" missing all the games is sitting out the season.
I've got the "@ SMU" part covered.
Dang it. Is 28 old or something?
FML.
There is no chance that a Boston homer such as he doesn't think Red Sox - Yanks is the greatest rivalry in sports.
Or he was just trolling hard. Or it was one of his stupid reverse jinx things, but I'm not sure how that would apply here.
but to honest, I doubt he's even aware of it. Would make for much better entertainment if he cracked.
Please make this happen

I'm just sayin. Any restauranters on the board?
That stuff is just phenomenal. Had some a few weeks ago, despite it being over 90 degrees in Chicago. Just tremendous stuff.
No Denard? How can the QB not be a captain?
Also, he probably was to blame for last year's kicking game. And Pearl Harbor.

This one looks great

Breaston was pretty awesome as a freshman!
Dang it. Droid app is sensitive. FAIL.

This is just awful. Please make it be not true.
Ears bleeding.
But now he doesn't get to practice. More importantly, I'm guessing he doesn't get paid.
but allegedly Craig James killed 5 hookers while at SMU.

Has Northwestern favored against us by 1.5.
The same day they have Nebraska favored by 11 against OSU. That seems really high to me. Am I crazy?
