Football is a violent sport. It is also an honorable sport. I was at the game so I did not see all the replays but the hit on Edwards was not only targeting, it was a sucker punch. It was a hard blow to the head intended only to injure. The hit on Winovich was probably similar. The refs were bad but we cannot expect refs to reliably pick up these calls in real time. Replay is used/misused in many other ways. Would it be such a stretch to use it to punish and discourage unsportsmanlike behavior? I do not mean during the game but in retrospect after the game. The NFL does. Some lengthy suspensions will not magically produce honorable players but might clean up behavior

--smuggle large bag of Touchdown Tootsie Rolls for all friends around us after each TD
