|1 day 18 hours ago||Agreed||
I have some family in the Cleveland/Akron area (my goddaughter lives in Hartville) and many are close to who Lebron is and his situation in the Akron area. When you strip away the butthurt associated with Lebron leaving to Miami, by all accounts, Lebron is an extremely genuine and nice guy. Its very hard to find a nasty thing about him.
You can say what you want about "the decision", but Lebron gets too much guff for the media attention he gets. That's the media's fault. For all the shit he gets, Lebron continues to work hard, exhibits tenacity, remains loyal to his hometown, puts on a smile, and wins
I want my kids to be like Lebron..
|1 day 19 hours ago||That's really only the tip of the iceberg||
In addition to the money and women, he had some other unsavory transgressions, including:
1. Repeatedly cheating on his wife
2. Alienating his kids
3. Gambling addiction
5. Minor interactions with organized crime
If these things are what it takes to be an "Alpha Male", then no thanks.
Michael Jordan is a scumbag, plain and simple.
|1 day 21 hours ago||Different eras of media coverage||
What's more, Jordan was a lucky SOB for not playing in this era. His off the court antics would make Tiger Woods look like Gandhi. Needless to say, I hope no one wants "be like Mike"
|2 days 18 hours ago||Come on, man||
It's not completely out of the ordinary to think we lose to ND this year. I think Vegas has us as a dog as well.
|2 days 18 hours ago||See my reply about the using the word "stellar"||
|2 days 18 hours ago||As for the OSU game||
That was an outlier last year. That might as close as Hoke is gonna get to beating OSU ever again.
|2 days 18 hours ago||In no particular order||
1. Game is in SB
|2 days 18 hours ago||I guess I used stellar too loosely||
I think our defense will be improved from a fairly good performance last year. Teams like ND and OSU will still have no problem scoring on us. Home games for them help tilt the scale more in their favor.

...right on her face!
|2 days 19 hours ago||Expectations vs What Will Happen||
I always have high expectations...until recently. This is what I think will happen:
1. Similar record to last year, maybe one more win
2. Blow-out losses to ND and OSU
3. Close loss to MSU, Penn State, and bowl game
4. Defense is stellar
5. Offense is better, but still sub-par. Still hard for us to score points at times
6. Hoke's seat is piping hot, but he gets the 2015 season
|3 days 21 hours ago||I agree...||
...but Hoke's lack of grace could also be used among his players and staff, which could be confusing and counter-productive. Not saying that's the case and I understand perception is not necessarily a reality.
|3 days 23 hours ago||What about the community?||
|3 days 23 hours ago||Ok. If you want to be objective...||
...at this point, OSU has an edge over us in every category. And probably a significant edge in most of them. We'll see what Hoke & co can do here in the next year or two.

Highly recommend trying Edzo's. There is one in Evanston and hear they opened one in Lincoln park somewhere.

And is completely worthless. You should not have to pay union fees. I think a right to work state may be better for you.

...if Hoke is fired after this season (or next), Brandon will not lose his job. As much as some people like to bash Brandon, he is successfully running the premier athletic department in the nation. His decisions regarding the football program has been suspect, but the commitment to all other sports has been second to none in Michigan history (even Canham).
|1 week 6 days ago||I think the numbers showed that...||
...he did NOT turn ball state around. I don't have the numbers in from of me, but in short, he performed below historical ball state standards and was pretty much on par with the Bill Lynch, the previous coach.
|1 week 6 days ago||Brady Hoke||
In what is likely going to cause some negging, I call our coach, Coach Clap Hands.
|2 weeks 12 hours ago||And over-priced||
Went to the HQ warehouse here in Chicago. Very nice (and attractive) staff, high quality threads, but way way over priced.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||I was in Covington GA for work...||
...and decided to take a drive up to Athens. Not a bad college town. I was impressed. Unfortunately, it was during the summer and the campus was dead, but it had a nice aesthetic appeal to it.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Do tell||
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Serious question for you||
Going 0-4 in non-conf play, but winning the big ten. Is that considered a successful season?
|3 weeks 1 day ago||um..||
"have had a very successful career in finance thus far" = working the cash register at McDonalds. Now serve me my fries!
|3 weeks 1 day ago||That's saying a lot...||
...considering the name of your handle
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Winning the Big Ten...||
...in this day and age is like bragging that you got straight Bs in the 10th grade. But I guess that's the new Michigan standard, so...yea.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Agreed and thanks||
There is a grass roots effort in Chicago to start "pulling over" bikers when they disobey the rules of the road. This would do 2 very positive things for the city:

|3 weeks 2 days ago||I DO realize they are basically cars||
Do bikers realize that? They sure don't in Chicago. They act like they have special rules.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||This isn't a car vs bike argument||
I don't own a car. I'm far more at danger of getting hit by someone on a bike than a car.
