|1 day 16 hours ago||And the alumni bars in Chicago...||
...are not very good IMO. Decent, but not great. In my younger years, I would occassionally watch Michigan games in opposing fans bars with friends who went to opposing schools (i.e. Illinois, Iowa, MSU). I thought their bars were far superior.
|2 days 13 hours ago||That's "AD-speak"||
I will guarantee you that if by the end of next year, we still can't beat MSU and OSU (at home mind you), have no opportunity to win the big ten, and have a middling big ten record that Hoke will be a serious candidate to be fired. That's 5 years of failure by Brady Hoke standards.

Before I turn into this board's MGoPervert, I should have you know that obtained said information regarding Traci Lords from Maxim (or FHM, can't remember which one) magazine.

...West Loop area
|3 days 12 hours ago||Thanks||
You said "forarms" which is plural, which means more than one forearm, which means I have to use both hands/forearms, which means....I'll stop right there.
|3 days 14 hours ago||Minor quibble||
She never did DP.
|3 days 14 hours ago||On the other hand...||
...I will be watching it and am having people over to watch it. If anyone is going to be in the Chicago area and wants a non-bar location to watch the game with some mid-30 somethings, let me know. All michigan fans invited!
|5 days 8 hours ago||Old?!||
I must be getting old because I remember vividly when it was being built (initially used for the Olympics). And it was the gold standard of new stadiums.
|5 days 8 hours ago||Hate to say this...||
...old Yankee stadium. I'm not much of a baseball fan, so I don't cling to baseball lore, but that stadium was a piece of shit. And the area surrounding it reminded me of a war torn eastern block city.

In fact, PSU has had no years under franklin.

He would simply make people believers by crushing our enemies, to see them driven before us, and to hear the lamentations of their fans.

Most people don't like it because, unfortunately, it makes Les Miles look like good guy.
|1 week 7 hours ago||Not entirely||
I think highly of what LC did here, so having a winning record against OSU would entirely change my view of LC.
Probably our most proud accomplishment as a program is that we can claim to be the winningest college football program. We also like to tout our winning record against OSU. Maintaining these accomplishments requires a strict committment to winning, especially against our main rivals.
Something to think about: depending on how this year plays out, we are at risk of losing the title of "winningest big ten team" to OSU.
|1 week 10 hours ago||I understand that||
I just have slightly higher expectations than you. No big deal. And with our resources, tradition, etc my expectations aren't unrealistic. After all, we traditionally beat OSU more than they beat us. Why can't I expect that going forward? I understand that the dynamics of college football have changed and perhaps there are some competitive advantages driven my shaddy acts in which we refuse to partake. Regardless, my high level of expectation remains unchanged.
|1 week 12 hours ago||I'm not fine with that bar||
Don't get me wrong, LC did a great job at the helm, but having a losing record against OSU in any capacity should not set the bar. Just my opinion, I have nothing against your opinion.
|1 week 12 hours ago||Carr had a losing record against OSU||
Is that something you seriously want? Have we really lowered the bar that far?
|1 week 1 day ago||Yes, it was a joke||
It was meant to add some mild levity to the board with no real hidden agenda.
However, your post got me thinking. Do you think Hoke would have gotten a shot at this job if he wasn't a Michigan Man?
|1 week 1 day ago||Well...||
...Borges is now officially a Michigan Man, so fits all pre-requisites to be hired.

My opinion of alternate uniforms is that it should capture the essence of the legacy uniform. These do no not.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Are you saying...||
...there is a strong positive correlation between being viewed as a dinosaur on the field and the lack of new uniformz?
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Ours is probably the worst out of this bunch and here's why||
If you were to remove the helmet and the block M from the alternate jersey, could you reasonably identify it as a Michigan jersey. Objectively, I would get it confused with West Virginia or Cal.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||I could be wrong...||
...but I saw about half of the room give a less than enthused response. Especially those in the front row by the camera.

...IIRC, that was the first game at the Big House after the 9/11 attacks. I could be wrong. If I'm correct, I can remember there being a lot of anxiety for that game since the size of the stadium alone led to a lot of speculation that the Big House would be an ideal terrorist target.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||I asked my dad what was my first Michigan game||
He seems to think it was a Michigan-OSU game...in Columbus! I don't remember, but it wouldn't surprise me since my dad is from Cleveland and is a big OSU fan. Sad face :(
