Amen, spread the word. I did my best to spread the word to those applying. Full disclosure i am puerto rican, but you don't have to be a minority! I asked that question specifically to the Consortium folks.

You actually don't have to be a minority to earn a fellowship via the consortium. You just need to demonstrate commitment to diversity. The race thing is often misunderstood, so I figured i'd correct that. So if you were a TFA teacher or a "big brother" you can make a great case.
Also a note: the disadvantage of applying this way is that you have to reveal a ranking of the consortium schools you're aplying to. I put Ross first over Tuck/Darden which certainly helped with Ross, but didn't help with Tuck/Darden.

1. What was your admissions process/experience like at Ross or other MBA programs?
2. What were some other schools you considered, or think I might want to look at?
I applied to 7 schools: Columbia, Kellogg, Tuck, Darden, Cornell, Ross, Emory (Goizueta). Got into all but Kellogg.
You may want to also consider: Texas McCombs, Goizueta (Emory), Notre Dame Mendoza (network is quite strong) and Kelley (Indiana) if you're into B1G schools.
3. What's some advice you have in choosing programs, getting admitted, making the most out of B-school, etc. Take the trips with classmates... the MBA is at least 75% about the network (IMO). Join crazy/unrelated groups... I play rugby (for the first time) with my school- love it!
I'm in class (whoops) so I can elaborate more if you have more Q's.

Gerald Ford and the GaTech game.
Not that this merits a full 30/30 but a few years ago I watched a YouTube clip of post Ohio state... John Navarre leads us to a rose bowl. he was asked on camera about how sweet it must be to silence the critics. He downplayed it but got pretty emotional. Sobering moment for me as a fan.
Jim Abbott is a perfect call though. Thats #1, bando killed it before the thread got warmed up!

I think Brian went a little far... got the joke but it's a bit far (for me.)
That said, this "kid" or "19 year old man" has a really really bad idea... also my opinion.
Honestly, i just wonder what would have happened if he hadn't taken down his own twitter page.
Finally, i just realize i post in note form. I should work on that.

"Kathleen Hanna, the lead singer of the group Bikini Kill, gave Cobain the idea for the title when she spray painted "Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit" on his bedroom wall after a night of drinking and spraying graffiti around the Seattle area. In his pre-Courtney Love days, Cobain went out with Bikini Kill lead singer Tobi Vail, but she dumped him. Vail wore Teen Spirit deodorant, and Hanna was implying that Cobain was marked with her scent."

I like the idea in a broad sense, but I mean, at the end of the day, let him make his decision. If he chose to not come back to Michigan, it would suck for me as a fan, but it's his life. If he has ambitions and goals that don't include Michigan, then I respect his decision. We took a shot, now it's on him to decide. Michigan clearly will make accommodations to any outstanding unmet requests. Anything else to me will be more negative (public perception of desperation) than positive (would it really be the edge needed to get him to come?) I hope the video isn't the deciding factor.

|11 weeks 5 days ago||Fair point... I'm just saying||
Fair point... I'm just saying how bad is it compared to other universities? I don't know what Michigan's schedule looks like. One would think you would have a prof give a guest lecture or mock class to the group of visitors. What could possible be covered in 15 minutes? Can't even cover the different schools within the university in 15 minutes.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||Well, i don't know enough to||
Well, i don't know enough to know whether or not this is industry norm. I do find it funny though that they spend 15 minutes on that, and 30 minutes on Strength & Conditioning. Oh, and the 4 hour break between 2 and 6pm. That's got to be a joke.

SEARCHBITS XII: GIL THORP IS A NUTTER
who are you going to believe, a black and white 1950s comic strip or common sense?
YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED THE JOB. Michigan is talking to people now. One of those people was David Cutcliffe or his agent, which led wildly inaccurate NFL.com insider Gil "Thorp" Brandt to assert that he had been offered the job and turned it down. What actually happened: Michigan gauged his interest and he said no thanks*. Or nothing at all, but taking public statements from the people involved at face value is never advisable in a coaching search.

Read Brian's latest post.. that's reassuring. Sounds like Plan B is a normal search (which is being exercised) while we wait on JH.
I'm happy with all this Playoff controversy because it takes a little of the heat off of Michigan (at least media attention-wise.)

Man hunt - Basically tag in NYC streets, climbing scaffolds, jumping roof to roof, running in the middle of the street. In retrospect, not sure how i didn't die, but i did have to get stitches on my head once...explains a lot.
Skelsies - a new york past time for kids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skully_%28game%29 Not sure if y'all played this in the midwest, but milk caps, boxes and you could be a legend with the flick of a finger.

Out of curiosity... what exactly do you mean by getting expensive? Is Clash of Clans free to play, but freemium model? (e.g. Free to join, but you pay for in-game features?) I know in League of Legends, not dropping a dollar has no impact on in-game performance, is that true for Clash of Clans?
(Note: I just recently presented on League of Legends for a strategic capabilities course, was astonished by the volume of players and also the revenue generated from in-game purchases.)
