I like the idea in a broad sense, but I mean, at the end of the day, let him make his decision. If he chose to not come back to Michigan, it would suck for me as a fan, but it's his life. If he has ambitions and goals that don't include Michigan, then I respect his decision. We took a shot, now it's on him to decide. Michigan clearly will make accommodations to any outstanding unmet requests. Anything else to me will be more negative (public perception of desperation) than positive (would it really be the edge needed to get him to come?) I hope the video isn't the deciding factor.

You'd think an NFL guy would hold true to Microsoft's Surface Pro 3.

Anyone else think Walton looks like he's hobbling, and that Spike looks uncomfortable too?
|1 week 2 days ago||Fair point... I'm just saying||
Fair point... I'm just saying how bad is it compared to other universities? I don't know what Michigan's schedule looks like. One would think you would have a prof give a guest lecture or mock class to the group of visitors. What could possible be covered in 15 minutes? Can't even cover the different schools within the university in 15 minutes.

Well, i don't know enough to know whether or not this is industry norm. I do find it funny though that they spend 15 minutes on that, and 30 minutes on Strength & Conditioning. Oh, and the 4 hour break between 2 and 6pm. That's got to be a joke.

SEARCHBITS XII: GIL THORP IS A NUTTER
who are you going to believe, a black and white 1950s comic strip or common sense?
YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED THE JOB. Michigan is talking to people now. One of those people was David Cutcliffe or his agent, which led wildly inaccurate NFL.com insider Gil "Thorp" Brandt to assert that he had been offered the job and turned it down. What actually happened: Michigan gauged his interest and he said no thanks*. Or nothing at all, but taking public statements from the people involved at face value is never advisable in a coaching search.

Read Brian's latest post.. that's reassuring. Sounds like Plan B is a normal search (which is being exercised) while we wait on JH.
I'm happy with all this Playoff controversy because it takes a little of the heat off of Michigan (at least media attention-wise.)

Man hunt - Basically tag in NYC streets, climbing scaffolds, jumping roof to roof, running in the middle of the street. In retrospect, not sure how i didn't die, but i did have to get stitches on my head once...explains a lot.
Skelsies - a new york past time for kids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skully_%28game%29 Not sure if y'all played this in the midwest, but milk caps, boxes and you could be a legend with the flick of a finger.

Seriously though, we played with a crushed can (more like a disk) and i remember kicking it and accidentally cutting this kids finger... blood went flying everywhere-- and that was the last time i ever played that game.

Out of curiosity... what exactly do you mean by getting expensive? Is Clash of Clans free to play, but freemium model? (e.g. Free to join, but you pay for in-game features?) I know in League of Legends, not dropping a dollar has no impact on in-game performance, is that true for Clash of Clans?
(Note: I just recently presented on League of Legends for a strategic capabilities course, was astonished by the volume of players and also the revenue generated from in-game purchases.)

1. Ohio State (as was mentioned during the game) has been running Syracuse's zone. Good to see it from the master himself first.

Some folks are pointing to his record against actual competition though. I haven't gone through and analyzed myself, but the numbers didn't look pretty.

Oh, totally agree. This one is Wisconsin's to lose. I really just meant that if this were week 1, that 3rd stringer would have likely led Ohio State to the same record (maybe, just maybe one loss vs MSU.)

Does anyone know how does the search work exactly? Like is it industry standard/expectation for an AD reach out directly to the coach/coach's agent, or does a coach's agent ever reach out to AD?
|3 weeks 15 hours ago||Unfortunately, you might be||
Unfortunately, you might be right. I mean they replaced their heisman candidate QB (Braxton Miller) with a heisman candidate QB. Urban Meyer runs a system, Ohio State recruits in such a fashion, and their schedule typically affords them the opportunity to break in new QBs. That said, I don't think the playoffs is a "break a QB in situation" but the point still stands.
Also, the Urban Meyer hype machine will be in full force if they win the B1G title game. We all know how good he is at that.

I'm guessing they were expecting to get fouled so they ....ah fuck it. No idea either. On another note, thanks Dan Dakich for the jinx.
I'm actually quite pleased how Michigan overcame adversity and struggle toward the end of the 1st half and start at the 2nd half.

|8 weeks 10 hours ago||I really appreciate what||
I really appreciate what you're trying to do here, but ultimately the only comparison I can see is that we both have moderately solid defenses with anemic offenses. Oh, and both teams lost to Utah.
QB situations were somewhat different. DG has stayed throughout all this nonsense. Mallett left.
You mention Year 1 vs Year 4... but think about it- we were in the process of overhauling the offense. By now, this offense should have had an identity but instead, we've been inconsistent on offense for 4 years now. I don't see how the position coaches.
This team is better than the 2008 team, but we shouldn't have to be comparing them.

You're out of your element... i never talk smack about students, but the fact is he's never thrown a TD pass in his career. DG has way more tools in his toolkit than Morris has,.. could be an experience thing, but Morris isn't ready yet.
|8 weeks 4 days ago||I've seen you make this case||
I've seen you make this case a couple of times. While I don't necessarily disagree, I'd like to inject one potential question: Do you not think that JH is so polarizing of an individual that he could eventually piss off former players and other folks and then add to this weird tension within the Michigan community?
