My feeling is that when someone is drunk and does something stupid, they're not temporarily stupid, they're temporarily honest about who they actually are.
Don't know much about lacrosse, but I'm guessing he would be pretty fun to watch play lacrosse at Michigan if he puts on 40 lbs and keeps that athleticism.
Interesting to read all the comments about how his behavior was probably well known and that's why he hasn't been associated with the program. That's probably true. It just shows the power of the old boys club, here and elsewhere. The men in power need to start speaking up, not just looking the other way and allowing it continue.
The taking of the lands of Native Americans and the dependence on slavery for the economy is how this country grew from being a collection of colonies in the 18th century to a world power in the 19th century. That's a bit more than "racism existed at the time". To deny that our country's history is rooted in racism is to deny the history of our country.
"America has its roots in racism" is a common statement because it's undeniably true. I don't think anyone is on a campaign to erase anything from the history books that has its roots in racism. Just the opposite actually, there's a push to have the history books more accurately reflect America's historical roots in racism.
End of the first half scenario will be that SMU punts into the endzone for a touchback with 1 second remaining. Joe Milton is inserted and throws a 80 yd touchdown to Ambry Thomas with no yards after catch needed.
I agree that Ambry is probably the most explosive guy on the team, figuratively speaking. The gif was just the mental image I got from the idea of someone being literally the most explosive guy on the team.

You writing this is important work. It will help some living in pain or depression know that they are not alone. It will help others not going through it understand how common it is for people to suffer debilitating conditions, which will help move our culture towards both providing a more supportive environment as well as understanding the importance of research.
I know CT is not known as a big football state, but we have three signees from the state in the class (Black, Mason, Stueber), four if you count Hawkins, who played at Suffield Academy in CT this year. That's more signees than Ohio (two) this year. So maybe CT is the next pipeline of talent for Michigan. Nutmeggers represent!
I have a 11yo son who would come home from ymca day camp and say, "I have just one question for you...", wait for me to look at him, and then point at my shoes and yell WHAT ARE THOSE? Then he and his 9yo sister would laugh hysterically. I figured it was just some camp inside joke, now I know they were participating in a national meme (we're on the east coast). I don't know whether to be sad or proud. Either way, thanks for info.
