I attended that 61-46 game in Columbia with my father-in-law. It was one of the worst games I've ever seen any team play, in-person or on TV. I think we shot 22 percent for the game, including 2-of-24 from deep. Yeeeesh.
You realize the basketball program has been significantly more successful the past 5-10-15-20-25-30 years? Maybe you should switch up your expectations.
When it comes to this rivarly, it absolutley sucks that we have to go into a vault of grainy videos for GIFs that are pro-Michigan, when OSU can just check last year's tape, or the year before, or the year before, or 13 of the past 15 years for their's. Most of their great highlights are in full HD and fresh in memory, as well.
Heading to the game in a couple hours. I haven't seen the MBB team in person since the early 00s, so I am looking forward to it. Would be fantastic to go into the weekend with a shiny 5-0 record!
Isis - Oceanic, Panopticon, Wavering Radiant Lamb of God - New American Gospel, As The Palaces Burn, Ashes of the Wake Primus - Frizzle Fry, Sailing the Seas of Cheese, Pork Soda STP - Core, Purple, Tiny Music Deftones - White Pony, Deftones, Diamond Eyes Every Time I Die - all of them in any random grouping of three
Alexander, with Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie. It's the only movie I've ever walked out on. It takes a lot for me to dislike a movie, I'll even sit through a stinker or two just to see how it ends.
But my god, what a stinking pile of shit that movie is.
Also, I saw Idiocracy mentioned. Thought it was hilarious, and it seems more like a prophecy than a film these days.
I remember watching that game while I was at work, bartending. It was really slow at the time, so I was able to watch without much interruption. It was the start of a great era of MBB. Here is to more success to come!
WMU has some legit talent on the team. Two of the past three MAC Frosh of the Year, I think. Plus that kick returner was electric.
That being said, MSU did look a little flat on D. They gave up 345 in the air (I know WMU was playing from behind and passing more) and WMU had several missed opportunities to put points on the board and keep drives alive.
I mean, a lot of analysts agree with my statement. He gets mugged every time he goes to the rim. But I suppose I'll listen to a couple of Internet nerds over the professionals.
Grew up on Torch Lake, graduated from Elk Rapids High School in 1998 (just a few miles north of Traverse City). I've lived in Charleston, South Carolina for the past 10 years.
I've been scrolling through the responses and - especially this time of year - its made me so homesick. I grew up in Northern Michigan before it became such a tourist desitination, when it was more of a hidden gem. It really is a magnificent place, and something I took for granted growing up. So funny, because when I moved to SC and told people where I am from, they all scoffed and laughed.
A few of my southern friends have ventured up that way since I've moved here, and they've all come to understand my deep love for "Up North."
That being said, Elk Rapids is a solid place to start. Quaint town with an awesome beach on the East arm of Grand Traverse Bay, and a 15-minute drive from Traverse City. You can also do day trips to Torch Lake or Charlevoix, or even venture out to the Sleeping Bear Dunes (2 hrs) or the Straits area (2 hrs) is doable.
Whatever you do decide, OP, you'll have a great time. Enjoy it!
It's amazing how these freshmen and role players are developing - some even blossoming - under Beilein. They keep this up and there might be some high expectations next year. For now, having now expectations, it is indeed fun to watch.

Garrett Dellenger is ranked No. 2 and is already wearing the right uniform

I listened to that show that morning, and I believe Greg mentioned that they "have good RBs, not great" which I think is pretty accurate.

Hands down the most f'ed up thing I've ever watched.
I mean, just look at the cover image!

Can we PLEASE change that this season???

I live in Charleston as well. We are evacuating later today. Driving to Atlanta, hope it doesn't take us all night.

That looks amazing, as I sit here waiting for my Lean Cuisine to heat up at work. Thanks.

I feel like Jim Leyland and Don Brown would be related somehow. Or at least drink Bud heavies together.

Can't wait for the new album. Everything they've done since they've started has been incredible.

I believe secede is
*secede
I believe secede is the term you're looking for. Like the Southern states seceding from the Union.
Colin? is that you?

will pick his spots putting Williams out there at the two or the three
That should be Robinson, I believe.
Love these previews so far, though.
I wouldn't count out Morris or Speight in that group either.
Man, the content this week (except the recruiting info, I suppose) is going to be so depressing. I want to drink until I can't feel feelings anymore.

How do you leave Biakabutuka out of the RB list? Replace A-Train with him, at least.

A few weeks later, UM won the national title behind Rumeal's free throws.
Was hooked ever since.

This seems forever ago. Oh, what could have been. Stupid NCAA (and stupid injuries).
Western Michigan uses "Hot Time" too, but its not their fight song.
