Technically I didn't catch it, but I was at Hoffmaster State Park when a 6 and a half foot long dead sturgeon washed ashore.
I am not a talented fisher and can't brag about any of my catches.

During the Battle of the Bulge in WWII there was great fear that the Germans had men in American uniforms behind our lines. So they would ask men American-cultural questions that the German spies wouldn't likely know...so they could catch them.
True story, an American soldier was asked by an MP: "what is the capital of Illinois?"
"Springfield" he replied.
"Everyone knows it is Chicago, you are under arrest!"
It took him a few hours to straighten out the MP's blunder.

The term is "Luddite." They attacked modern machinery like power looms about 200 years ago in England, because they feared that new efficiency would steal their jobs.

I think the men's basketball team could use Oliver Martin. I see him as playing a role similar to Steve Nash, Larry Bird, or Dirk Nowitzki.

Absolutely absurd to bring Caldwell into this.
Caldwell inherited an elite team that at worst went 12-4 for the SIX straight years before Caldwell got the job. Additionally, he had Peyton Manning in his prime who would win his 4th NFL MVP award.
Caldwell took one of the elite teams in the NFL and turned them into a dumpster fire (2-14) by his 3rd year.
Harbaugh took over a pile of steaming horse crap and turned it into a powerhouse. The second he left it turned back into road apples.

Yes, February has been a rough month for MSU. However, in just a few days the month known as "Izzo" will be here. The icing on the cake is that Middle Tennessee State looks like they will make the tournament and MSU might avoid any chance for an embarassing rematch when they make the NIT.

29 is fitting.
Squeaking out a narrow victory over "Furman" doesn't really count as a win - as they aren't even in the FBS.

Izzo really is a jealous little man.
A few years ago when I was outside shoveling snow I listened to the Tom Izzo radio show on my headset. Michigan was currently in 1st place in the conference and win finish 1st place in the conference. Izzo said there were 7 teams that could win the conference and he listed 7 teams and Michigan wasn't one of them and then made a comment about how inexperienced teams would fade down the stretch.

It seems as if you would treat the players as employees.
A sport that loses money wouldn't be able to afford to pay their "employees" outside of the traditional scholarship. A sport that makes lots of money would be able to afford to pay their "employees."
Earlier today I was listening to ESPN radio and there is some sort of a female sports show where they were saying that NFL cheerleaders are underpaid as they are at the "pinnacle of their profession." The obvious counterargument to their point is that waving pom-poms as NFL cheerleaders do isn't exactly a profession. If they were to all go on strike, the NFL would simply hire new cheerleaders to wave pom-poms and the fans wouldn't notice.

I am not sure if average star rating is as important as sheer number of 5 and 4 star players. A large recruiting class can drop your average if you have a lot of 3 stars and some 2 star players. However, how many starter poisitions can you potentially fill with top talent?
For example, FSU has a slightly higher average. But would you rather have Michigan's 21 four and five star players (2/19) or would you rather have FSU's 12 (4/8)?
I'd emphatically state that I would rather have a slightly lower average and 21 top talent guys than 12.

Ohio State clearly had the better recruiting class per 247 and you obviously want the best at every position.
However, I put extra emphasis on the QB (because that is the single most important position) and both the Oline and Dline (because controlling the line of scrimmage sets up everything else).
In these regards we compare well against OSU and easily outpace MSU.

Mason Cole was rated the same as Tarik Black is and Kalis the same as McCaffrey.
I guess I am a dork, because I get excited over every OL top 250 recruit - and I was thrilled to see Cole. I figure we need several 4 star+ OL recruits every year. It doesn't matter if we have a great QB, WRs, and RBs if we have a porous OL.

No one gave two thoughts about Cole?!?!
You do realize 247 Composite rankings had him as a 4 star that was #8 nationally at his position and #127 overal regardless of position. He was highly regarded.
247 Composite had Kalis as a 4 star that was #3 nationally at his position and #49 overall regardless of position. This isn't that much higher than Cole.
