1 week 4 days ago I was at both of those games

I was at both of those games and they were phenomenal. But when you consider how bad each opponent was at the time, and the fact that we barely beat them, it feels very fluky. So no, it didn't bring any closure, and until we beat one of those teams when they're ranked top 20, I don't know that it will.

Took the words right out of my mouth.  I'm about as pessimistic as they come, but last night's game was the toughest challenge of the entire tournament IMO.

Even if I tried to doubt this team right now I couldn't logically do it.

26 weeks 3 days ago I graduated in '07 with a

I graduated in '07 with a bachelor's in aerospace .  I ended up with a 3.7 GPA, so I'd say I did fairly well.  Here's my 2 cents:

Michigan Engineering is very difficult in that it requires a lot of discipline and will consume a lot more of your free time than you probably anticipate.  That being said, I do think nearly everyone accepted to the school is capable of succeeding.

Obviously the cirriculum will be easier for some than others.  What matters is how much effort you're willing to put into it.  I did not consider myself one of the most naturally intelligent people in the program, but I worked just as hard as anyone and, not to pat myself on the back, did well.  I had to attend office hours very frequently (probably more than your average student) but it paid off in the end.

I still had a very regular social life (attended all the football games, partied on the weekends regulary), but I'd say I had to work about 10 hours a day Sunday through Friday to get things done (between class, homework and group projects).

I've been working in the industry for about 4 years now as a stress engineer and I've got to say I think I have one of the best jobs on the planet.  I couldn't imagine doing anything outside of engineering.  So if you enjoy working hard and being challenged, the engineering school is a great option.

31 weeks 1 day ago I'll admit I was just as

I'll admit I was just as critical as anyone of him after watching him play last year.  He looked frequently lost and tried too often to scramble around and open up big plays with his legs, thinking his athletic advantage was as great as it was in high school (relative to the competition).  I thought (by default) Bellomy was going to be our guy moving forward until a younger player came along.

The Devin we saw in the Minnesota and Northwestern games is night and day compared to what he did last year.  His pocket presence is top notch and I think he's done an outstanding job on deciding when to tuck and run.  He's made a couple of bad decisions on his throws but other than that, he's been very intelligent and accurate with the ball.  The future is bright with this kid.

I'm also hoping for a 3:30 game. Tailgating for noon games isn't nearly as much fun.

Any chance you want to bring me back from Bolivia while you're at it?

38 weeks 2 days ago Yup

Am I crazy for feeling better about our B1G chances after last night's game?  Aside from the turnovers, we looked great.  Our defense was stout as hell.  It took awhile, but Fitz finally got going and I thought our OL looked pretty good overall.  You take away the bonehead turnovers and we looked like a legitimate B1G contender.

On another note, I'm seeing rumors on other sites that Garnder might be out for the season with a broken collarbone from the bleacher run-in.  Can anyone confirm?

40 weeks 3 days ago I agree with pretty much all

I agree with pretty much all of this.  We saw way too many freshmen play yesterday (which, to me, is not a very good sign).

AFA scored a few more points than I expected, but as everyone has been saying, that offense is hard to prepare for so I'm not panicking yet.  Our offense is what really worried me.  I thought we'd easily get 42 points, and outside of a few big plays we really struggled.  Fitz had 7 yards on 8 carries.  Yeesh...
