I don't agree with that. If the NFL wants to stipulate the ball be this or that in some aspect, or some characteristic be within some range, that's within the league's purview. And the league should have an interest in maintaining a level playing field.
The issue is, having done so, the league is obliged to be consistent in its enforcement practices, not completely oh whatever, as appears to be the situation with ball inflation up to this point.

I lived in Huntsville once upon a time. Madison, to be precise. I hear it's quite a bit different these days, but I'll stick with "Any excuse to not be there is good one."

Plus you can stop shaving. If you get a powerboat, you not only have to shave, but you also have to start wearing cologne.

Which trolling motor you like? I'm planning to put a 55# MinnKota w/ iPilot on 14' tin can, but I don't have any experience with them, just going by yeah that looks like exactly what I'm thinking...

I'll spend a week in so. Maine, flyfishing for stripers, and I'll spend another week someplace else, flyfishing for something else, but haven't decided where/what. I'd like to get back the AK interior for pike or someplace like the Ribdon & tribs on the North Slope for sea-run char, haven't ruled out snook in SW Fla in June, and a trip to Wiscy for muskies is also under consideration -- though the likely outcome is pissing that week away here and there with mid-week drop-outs and extending weekend runs to the Fryingpan (trout), RMNP backcountry (trout), and SW Nebraska (hybrid bass, mainly).
I'm not sure what my wife's summer vacation plans are yet...

I'm an avid boater. In fact, I have a regular armada. Two belly boats, a Buck's Bag pontoon, a Hobie pontoon, an Old Town 17-footer, and, the jewel, a '55 MonArk 1436 jon boat that I've customized into a sweet flatwater flyfishing watercraft.
And I have to say, a 30' boat is just insane. You will never get a beast like that around on the carp flats.

Exactly. It is a good thing for the players to get exposed to quality coaching, and an event like that has to potential reach the kids that participate in other positive ways, esp if the msg includes a pitch on the importance of their academics.
iirc, the coaching staff's have to be invited to participate, and this is not the Jim Harbaugh Michigan's Coming to Steal Your Recruits Again Saban Football Camp. No doubt the word has been put out through contacts and channels that Harbaugh and staff are available, but they do have to be wanted there.
Saban's a pretty powerful coach. He's not a helpless victim. He could lobby his conference via his AD for changes, or he could press for changes at the NCAA level. But he exploits things his conference allows that are prohibite elsewhere, and his whiny bitch routine sux.

The place I worked from 89-93 switched from UUCP to SMTP in the early 90s, and I had access to Usenet there as well. That was pretty much the internet then. Had an AOL account by 93 or 94, and got a domain around 96.
I first accessed a dial-up BBS in circa... 87. Whenever I installed my first modem, which may have been 300 or 1200 baud for all I remember, in my Leading Edge PC ($5,000, two floppy drives, amber monitor).

He should just claim that being downwind of Colorado, this was bound to happen. Have you ever been out there and seen [sic] how the wind blows?
(Obligatory Boulder joke about the wind: Colorado doesn't blow, Nebraska sucks.)

Left Hand's Sawtooth Nitro is my favorite nitro beer, one of my go-to's in general, and it's made practically right here in the neighborhood -- brewed on the banks of the mighty St. Vtrain!
EDIT: I'm a wee bit surprised at Left Hand's profile here. New Belgium, then Oskar Blues, have always seemed to overshadow them, and they always felt a bit like Longmont's secret beer to me -- Longmont being the armpit of Boulder Cnty in the popualr imagination. Never been a huge fan of OB though I drank a lot it back in the 90s when I was just a couple blocks from their first brewery in Lyons. Now I get to sit by their brewery in Longmont and smell the good smells while waiting to pick up my kid from school, then go past LH on the way home...
I do like dumping those nitros in a glass.
In summary: beer.

It's always "Talk about..." because all anybody's looking for is a goddamn pull quote. otoh, sportswriters also know they're not getting any actual discussion or insight no matter which tool they pry with, and probably couldn't keep up if the coaches started talking about actual football anyway. Such a boring pro forma exercise that will spin off 20 articles of nothing.
But it's good to have Wheatley here.

Not sure how touted or untouted any player was has anything to with anything now, esp on a JB roster. I like MAAR's play and, in that game in this season, there's nothing to keep your powder dry for.

Weekend skiing is very feasible, Thousands and thousands of people do it. It's so feasible, eastbound I-70 from the tunnel to Morrison is the second or third largest city in Colorado on Sunday afternoons. I-70 can be a nightmare. CDOT has been trying to figure out what to do about it for as long as I've been here -- 20 years -- but it just keeps getting worse. I'll go Willow Pass/Cameron Pass/Rabbit Ears Pass to avoid it.
I drove through Golden twice today (to and from fishing on the South Platte, beautiful day on the river), no frat house smell. I lived just east of there, in Wheat Ridge, for a time. If you didn't know the Coors brewery was a brewery, you'd think it was an auto factory. Golden's a nice little place, but it's getting stomped fast.
Ball Aerospace, among others, has a strong and growing presence in the north Denver area, Westminster/Broomfield, as well as things going on around Boulder, given CU/LASP and etc.
The vacancy rate in Boulder County is approx 0%. Since the flood, we've rented a place and bought a place; it's a crazy market here right now. Bring cash.
