I get it, but every time I…

I get it, but every time I let myself get hyped after a big Michigan win, it's like hitting a brick wall, so until at least the BTT, I'm going eternal pessimist

too soon, don't jinx it! we…

too soon, don't jinx it! we have a brutal stretch coming up soon, let's see how we shape up down the stretch first

Great win but I’ve learned…

Great win but I’ve learned my lesson and refuse to allow myself to get hyped, cuz the last time I allowed myself to get excited after a Michigan win over Minny....

Don't get me wrong, I love…

Don't get me wrong, I love that Cade stepped in and got the win, and he clearly looked leaps and bounds better than Milton today but he really scares the crap out of me with how often he throws off his back foot. Against teams not named Rutgers, that's going to hurt. That notwithstanding, I'm going postal if he doesn't get the start next week.

always watched these CFB…

always watched these CFB Risk threads but finally decided to join in on the fun this year, leggo!

41-14 Good Guys

not to be a negative nancy

but 2014: 16 TD 5 INT, 2015: 8 TD 7 INT

i'll be damned

i'll be damned if i root for sparty...go badgers all the way

i will wait

i will wait until i hear it directly from d-mo

personally i'd take this season

personally i'd take this season, if only because the future seems a lot brighter for a much longer time with this team than the 08-09 team.

chicago

anyone in chicago and going to the bars for the game?

the play i was referring to

the play i was referring to specially was on the first play of a drive, both wisconsin safeties shifted down into the box

i do notice that the coaches are changing up the plays from the sideline, but on a standard first and ten play like that, denard needs to look up and realize both safeties are in the box against a called read option and send the slot on a seam route

one more area of improvement/development

with two years left of development for denard, one thing i do want to see going forward is improvement in his ability to read and adjust according to defenses

i can't recall seeing denard calling many (if any) audibles at the line of scrimmage

on some of the plays against wisconsin, they were read options; however, wisconsin was in a flat cover zero.  what i hope to happen with a junior or senior denard is him recognizing the coverage and audible into a PA seam route

favorite part of this article

hahaha, by far my favorite part of this article is the lone user comment:

Only students for abstinence has more virgins in their club. This is the gayest thing I have ever heard of.

martin will stay

with the impending lockout and also uncapped season, i highly doubt martin will leave for the nfl, i'll still knock on wood just in case though *knock* *knock*

the indiana touchdown

the indiana touchdown at the end of the half is listed as EOH, the indiana points per possession should be 2.91666

the total points per possession would go up to 2.11666

just to be safe

i would remove that second scanned picture of the ticket w/ the barcode showing and repost the picture w/ the barcode part covered

it's never a good idea to post ticket pictures w/ the barcode showing

does someone have statistics for tate from last year?

because if memory serves me correctly, i believe tate had an exponentially better passer rating while scrambling on the run than standing in the pocket

i could be completely wrong

but i think lane kiffin's trying all the two point conversion just for practice.  all those conversion attempts have come against hawaii and minnesota (perceived bad teams) and frankly why not?  it's always good to have in-game experience for situational plays and if they ever need to use it in a key game, they would have the added advantage of experiencing it plenty of times in actual games

regarding the defense, i agree in most cases

that good/bad defense should not affect the 4th down strategy; however, we also have to take into account our defensive play-calling strategy.

With our "bend-don't-break" defense, we are expecting opposing offenses to move up and down the field and on with the caveat that we can hold them to field goals once they get in the red-zone.  This being the case, it makes it irrelevant where offenses start on the field against us, they will always be expected to move up and down the field.

With all factors considered; i believe this further promotes the theory that we should be in four down territory starting from just outside of the opposing team's field goal range (~own 30 yard line) to our guaranteed field goal range (~opp 15 yard line)

Seriously, why are we playing these guys? there's literally NOTHING to be gained...

neutral zone

essentially ineligible receivers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eligible_receiver) cannot advance beyond the neutral zone on passing plays otherwise a flag can be throw for ineligible receiver downfield; however, i rarely ever see this being called in college

scary as it sounds

it's moreso due to the fact that he is still developing as a QB

usually the hardest thing for new QBs to learn is working through the progressions.  typically rookie QBs tend to find a "favorite" receiver and lock onto that receiver.  If you watch the last couple games carefully, you do notice that dilithium has a tendency to lock onto his primary receiver and thus giving away the play (case in point, the roundtree throw which almost got him killed in the uconn game)

this is something that can be fixed with repetition, timing and trusting your receivers to be in the right places (imagine how good he'll be when he get's this down)

i hope it is sooner rather than later because good secondaries are going to take advantage of this and jump his routes

xavier?

did anyone realize denard's middle name is xavier? no joke! true x-factor baby!!!

http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/robinson_denard00.html

check the "personal" section

denard's stats

should have been even higher, the wideouts played great but way too many drops...i'm not going to harp on roundtree too much but he did drop a catchable touchdown pass

uh sir...sir...

i'm sorry to inform u but u've just been...um...DENARDEDDDDD!!!!!

what about this scenario from 2006

with the divisions as projected, what about a repeat of 2006?  we lose to osu in the game but then play them again in the title game the week after and eek out a win...with the votes the way they were, there would have been a solid chance that there would have been another rematch in the national title game

i have no problems with playing osu twice in a season but three times? that's just a little too much

it was a dive

iniesta definitely dived to exaggerate the foul but he had his man beat with a clear path on goal and heitinga reached out and grabbed his shoulder...it may be a soft yellow but 50-50 it does get called a yellow

just look at heitinga's reaction afterwards, he didn't even try pleading his case, he just turned around and walked off because he knew he committed the foul

call me crazy

call me crazy but what about starting torres in holden's spot?  i feel like he could thrive here against ghana's packed midfield, and his crosses could do wonders against ghana's short back line

simple just make a video of you burning it all and post it on youtube, i rather make money that way than selling useless garbage on ebay
This wasn't a poem This wasn't a poem but i remember once i went back for a homecoming game two years after i graduated and while i was walking by the bongo guy on my way to the game, i suddenly hear him go, "hey! didn't you graduate two years ago?". Scary part is i don't think i've ever talked to the bongo guy...
