|1 day 7 hours ago||Your justification is...||
....tautological. "I can lie and steal, therefore it's a poor business model and it's their fault."
So because someone can shoplift at Wal-Mart, they shouldn't charge for stuff? Because a musical artist can be pirated, they shouldn't charge for their music?
Your morals...they are missing.
|1 day 17 hours ago||You mean other than the part...||
...where you agree not to when you sign up? Otherwise, don't sign up. Integrity much?
|1 day 17 hours ago||Rule 1...||
Every time someone says "not to be a dick but..."
...they're being a dick.
I'm sure all posters from here on out will be sure to cater to what pleases you and pisses you off when making posts on the board.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||A thought...||
Given the deck will be reshuffled again in 2016 with the 9-game conference schedule, let's hope the MSU/Ohio thing is just a two year anomoly, and that we'll end up hosting Sparty two years in a row to get it back to having one at home each year.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||That could happen...||
...except for that whole "Notre Dame is too chicken to play us" thing, which is, like, the topic of this post.
|6 weeks 5 days ago||Good stuff, thank you||
How much is Hoke's opening game number impacted by the Alabama game? Not that I think it should be excluded, just curious.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||Also...||
...apparently, in the future, college bball halves will be 40 minutes long, but tick down 2 seconds at a time.
|7 weeks 9 hours ago||Particularly since...||
....Under Armour is now "in the conference," (founder is a Maryland guy) I think this is a genuine possibility.
|7 weeks 2 days ago||Apologies if this is a dumb question...||
but how do we know Ohio still be a home game in the 4 game home conference slate? They're in the East as well, so will have the same 5/4 timing as us. I'm guessing this just assumes they won't switch it up from the current cycle?
|7 weeks 4 days ago||One thing that strikes me...||
...from the highlight video is how far he _doesn't_ have to jump to dunk the ball.
On another note...holy balls, this is a Beilein prototype.
|8 weeks 3 hours ago||WANT||
ALL THE THINGS!
|8 weeks 3 hours ago||NJAS||
Something tells me Stauskas would be dunking on your dome, saying "Game, blouses".
|8 weeks 3 hours ago||I had a probably similar reaction...||
...to Brian's two lineup scenarios. Even in a tallball world where McGary starts at the 4 and GRIII the 3, that doesn't mean that we won't play *some* minutes with them at the 5 and 4 respectively. So I think the actual miniutes will be somewhere in between those two options.
|8 weeks 5 days ago||Placed in that context...||
...why care about sports at all? Just a bunch of life-lottery-winners chasing around a ball for the placification of the masses.
|9 weeks 6 hours ago||Sparties...||
Some things never change.
|9 weeks 1 day ago||Yeah, but the more relevant question...||
...is where did the other services have him? Considering he was a three-star on Rivals, they probably had him in the 100+ range...
|9 weeks 6 days ago||I've heard people reference...||
David Lee and Kevin Love.
Oh, and Wes Unseld.
|10 weeks 2 days ago||You can take them in...||
...but the lens can't be longer than 4 inches.
|11 weeks 6 days ago||Give Dantonio a break.||
He prob had to drop the kids off at the pool. Take the Browns to the Super Bowl. You know, take a Linthecum?
|12 weeks 4 days ago||I hear what you're saying...||
But that team he lost to also won the national title. It wasn't just any ol' 8 seed.
|13 weeks 1 hour ago||I posted on this above...||
...but if this were the grand vision, surely Delaney would have responded to this issue differently?
|13 weeks 1 hour ago||I doubt the banner increases the value of the blog...||
...but I suppose Brian should genericize it.
|13 weeks 1 hour ago||Apparel...||
...is a fair point. You are right.
I was referring strictly to blog posts, which I view as receiving a positive externality from the athletes (akin to covering the mayor), but not actually exploiting them.
|13 weeks 1 hour ago||Here's an aspect I haven't seen mentioned...||
I thought one of the key underpinnings of the four superconferences system was that the superconferences would split from the NCAA into an ultra league, which would then enable the paying of players because the Indiana States of the world wouldn't be there to object. I guess this is not the case? Does Delaney's response indicate anything about the grand vision (or lack thereof) of the realignment race?
|13 weeks 1 hour ago||Your assertion assumes that...||
...people getting paid to be ADs don't also make mistakes along the lines of Brian's wanting to keep RR a fourth year (which I don't believe is even an entirely accurate characterization by the time the decision was taken - all hail the Process - but point taken).
I also don't believe that Brian's income is exploitative of the athletes, but that could be open for rigorous debate.
I do agree with your last point, though I'd make the funds available only after eligibility has been exhausted, for things like health insurance and maybe a small pension depending on the size of the pot.
|15 weeks 1 day ago||And THEN the BEST part happened.||
He turned to Lucas and said,
"Get the f--- off my court."
|18 weeks 1 day ago||Might have been for the best...||
...but surprised Rothstein didn't ask about RR vs. Hoke.
|18 weeks 6 days ago||Sheer brilliance. Only thing||
Only thing missing was a Kiffin reference. Could maybe even have replaced Malzahn straight up.
|18 weeks 6 days ago||Big Dog stayed three.....||
not four. Not sure they're relationship, but I'd guess GRIII doesn't need to go for the money, which at least helps.
|18 weeks 6 days ago||Two notes for Brian...||
(1) In reference to the risk-reward ratio of Burke going against a strong perimeter defender at the end of regulation, you may have missed that Michigan actually got a switch and Thomas was on Burke. Trey really needed to get into the lane and at a minimum draw a foul there (MIchigan was in the bonus). That was my issue with the 1-4, not the set itself.
(2) In reference to Burke's soundtrack, this article may in fact validate Vivaldi AND Bombs Over Baghdad.
