This is an excellent breakdown from a tasting perspective, especially for a newbie.  As you say, the Lager/Ale differentiation is overblown when beer people create educational materials.  Guiness and Belgians are weirdos, for sure.  It's good to just experiment, as everyone has different tastes, but the malty/hoppy/roasty approach helps to start figuring out what you like as you sample different beers.

Yes, he certainly isn't

Yes, he certainly isn't criticism-proof.  The fumble was all on him.  But he's all we have.  He hasn't developed, at least in terms of decision-making and reading defenses, under Borges, and the offensive line puts a ton of pressure on him, since he has no running game to support him and he is continually blitzed into oblivion.

I appreciate his toughness and resilience.  He looks very hurt.  He just isn't the player we thought he would be this year.

There's nothing more Hoke can

There's nothing more Hoke can say in press conferences; he's not going to publicly criticize his coaches, and he shouldn't.  With all the pressure that is sure to come in the offseason, it'll be interesting to see if any changes happen.

No one else sees Ruxin?

He's totally Rodney Ruxin from The League.

alternative

I don't think anyone will bother you if you want to run in the Arb, but it will be hard to see without a good headlamp.  I used to just run in the adjoining cemetary when I was in undergrad whenever I wanted to go for a run after sunset.  It's a little spooky if you're by yourself, but it's nice and quiet, and you can run on paved trails which provide more reliable footing than in the Arb when you can't see very well.

It's another place that would be technically closed that late at night, but no one was ever around to say anything to me or my friends.
