I don't think they've ever put outa true stinker. I get the chronology mixed up but I usually put Yield and Vs as my top two. No Code, Pearl Jam, Backspacer...lots of great stuff mixed in there.
Shifting back on topic a bit, I always thought Faithful or Hail, Hail would make for a pretty great hype video.

Vs. was better.

Roederer Estate Brut and a 2007 Regusci Estate Cab. All Cali today I guess. Happy new year and Go Blue!

I've wrapped myself in the idea that down the line we'll look at a stretch of UM/MSU games and say, "One of Sparties' two wins in the last 7 years was on a total fluke. Harbaugh erased the gap in year 1 and has only but rarely given up M's stranglehold on this series."
Yea. That's the ticket.

You serious Clark?
|9 weeks 2 days ago||can't blame him but||
What was the rush? No reason he couldn't have waited until November 29th to start talks with Maryland.
I have a normal job and when promos or job changes come up it takes significant attention away from your day-to-day. Thats just a bad look heading into the Game. Harbaughs feelings on it will on display next year when the Terps roll into Ann Arbor I suppose.
|9 weeks 3 days ago||Sugar Bowl||
MSU would have a second loss in that scenario where OSU just has the one-- which is a key distinction between that and what happened in 2011. I got into it with some Sparty friends over that and never understood their argument-- I think any Michigan fan would have traded that Sugar Bowl spot for a shot at the B1G championship and the Rose Bowl.
|9 weeks 3 days ago||Still yes||
OSU's been to the mountaintop so if they stay up there another year nothing much has changed. For MSU to beat us on The Fluke, beat the OSU "hibernating bear, oh crap you stole my honeypot now i must kill everyone" edition, have their loss to Nebraska essentially not count, and now only to face a who-knows-how-good Iowa team for their own shot at the CFP....that just irks man.
So yes, still wish OSU had won.

but we've gone thru 4 coaches! We win!

4-1 on the road with a couple of pretty tough opponents mixed in there signifies a good football team to me. The contrast between THIS and that -- with much the same dudes -- could not be starker.

Doug Karsch is really laying it out there with the 97.1 vs Lions thing. This is some good listening, I have to say.

Penn State has faced two teams in the top 80 of Bill Connelly's Offensive S&P+ rankings. One is Ohio State who crushed them. The other is Indiana who played without Howard and Sudfeld. Franklin's Penn State team feels a whole lot like either the '12 or '13 Hoke squad.
That said, pass the Tums.
edit: Michigan has faced five teams ranked 63rd or better in that ranking

We can close this thread. Well done.
|11 weeks 4 days ago||What's the saying around here?||
The last thing that happened is surely the next that will happen. The reality is, with this team especially, we haven't yet seen the same issues in losses and near losses. Against Utah it was offensive discombulation and turnovers--wrapping those issues up nicely since then. Against MSU, the passing game was stagnant and unable to open up the run and has improved markedly since. Against Minnesota, Leidner threw balls dipped in unicorn tears all over the secondary, hasn't happened since (or before really). Against Rutgers, well, death. We saw death. Indiana gashed us on the edges with pacing, very high quality OL play and an all-conference level TB against a suddenly retooling UM DL.
Did I just thread jack your thread jack? In short, I AGREE.

Caught WTKA the other morning and Sam Webb was pretty confident that Hill would end up at Michigan.
|15 weeks 3 days ago||Do people watch ESPN?||
I'm convinced that outside of live sporting events that 80% of ESPN's "viewers" are restaurants, hotel lobbies and other random business venues where there's closed captioning rolling and the audio is muted.

Fire Up Hoosiers!
Eat 'em up Hoosiers!
I don't know what they say in Bloomington but I'm unabashedly rooting for whoever is up against Sparty from here on out.
|16 weeks 1 day ago||Crazy||
It's pretty crazy that there's not one in there somewhere after 8+ years with Dantonio but nope. Limited opportunities and no success in the few tough roadies that they've had.
|16 weeks 1 day ago||Nugget||
After hearing that Connor Cook hasn't played in Ann Arbor or Columbus it got me thinking a bit about Dantonio's overall record at State. According to my wiki-sleuthing, Dantonio's Spartans don't have a single win on the road against a team that finished the year ranked in the AP. The closest I could find was a 13 point win @ Nebraska in 2013 where Nebraska outgained State but coughed up 5 TOs. Nebraska finished 25 in the Coach's Poll.
|16 weeks 2 days ago||Chesson||
With Chesson you have to factor in his value as a runner. He's already scored twice on end arounds on only 6 attempts. Even the threat of that is worth something. Not saying you'd take him over Kings but just highlighting another area where the gaps are much smaller than we thought they'd be.
|16 weeks 2 days ago||Skill positions||
Burbridge is obviously the top skill guy in the game but you could argue that the next 3-4 are all UM guys: Butt, Darboh, Chesson and Smith. My point being, aside from Burbridge, there's little separation between the two squads.
And then of course there's special teams where you'd take every single unit of UMs.
Having higher than expected, um, expectations for your team is awesome. And I hate it.
|18 weeks 5 days ago||PUNT||
More than 1 out of every 14 snaps in this game was a BYU punt. Somewhere Kirk Ferentz is taking a cold shower.
Also, jerseys definitely looked washed out. "Violet"-- so said my wife and 5 year old daughter.
|19 weeks 2 days ago||Grills||
Charcoal grills have their merits obviously but you'd do just fine on a gas grill with a recipe like this.
|19 weeks 2 days ago||Nice||
Soooo...season with rub and grill? That is indeed a halftime recipe.
As a fairly capable home cook I must admit I was aware but not fully aware of all the different cuts of short ribs out there. Tablitas, I was unaware of. Will be making these for sure. Nice!
|20 weeks 4 days ago||Ahh...memories||
That was the first time I ever turned off a Michigan game and walked away before it was over. I think I went outside and hate-washed my car. F this sponge, f this stupid hose, f this dirty car. Good times those.
