2 weeks 6 days ago	Bolton	Jamie and Brienne were captured by Lord Roose Bolton's hunter, Locke, and returned to Harrenhal.  Bolton is holding Harrenhal for Robb while a large part of the northern army went with him to Riverrun for Hoster Tully's funeral-- Cat Stark's father.  As an aside, the actor playing Roose Bolton could be brothers with Daniel Craig.  Uncanny resemblance.
9 weeks 2 days ago	Ahh, yes	Michigan were the Starks and MSU the Karstarks if I recall.  I feel like Michigan could easily be the Targaryeans.  A dormant power torn apart by a mad man (just picture Bill Martin on a sailboat) yet ready to regain its place of power.  Things fall apart when you start to imagine Brady Hoke as a 14 year old silver haired princess.

So if you're storing the music on an iPod and you have separates powering your very nice speakers, why would you want a DAC?  Onkyo isn't huge in preamp/pro market anymore but what they do have isn't cheap, are the DACs in that unit not any good? I for a time got way into the AV-phile stuff and would likely care about 24/96 or 24/192 or whatever the latest bleeding edge sampling rate is but I've found that any good source (CD or better)  can sound fantastic so long as you have good gear that's configured properly.  Also, iTunes is the worst.
13 weeks 5 days ago	Branding opportunity	I think Dave Brandon should start branding UM BB as "gritty" and "tough". Maybe then we could jump on people and not get fouls called. Home teams that are playing well have enough of an advantage, do these "tough" defensive teams really need the extra help?

26 weeks 3 days ago	Translation	My Hokespeak is a little rusty but I think that roughly translates to, "Denard is going to start and play the entire game at QB." "Symbolic play" doesn't seem like something Hoke would say if he were leaning towards sitting him.  Sounds more like something Brandon would say though Brandon would probably have Denard out there with a commemorative patch commemorating himself.
28 weeks 6 days ago	This	Is the argument that he didn't have full possession and the ball didn't hit the ground, so therefore it's a live ball when it pops up?  Otherwise I don't see how it's not a completed catch and then it's just a situation where the ground can't cause a fumble. The Roundtree thing I think is much closer but I think there's a beef to be had there as well.  To me, the sort of oblong, pointy thing that bounces up when his upper body hits the ground is actually his right elbow and not the ball.  Neither camera angle is clear but if you take both in context, seeing his arm position in the shot from the endzone and then the balls postition in the shot from upfield...sure seems too close to call.

1 year 15 weeks ago	Pipkins- ESPN	Didn't see this mentioned anywhere after a quick MGoSearch but Pipkins was awarded a 4th star from ESPN as the 16th DT in the country.  So he's either quite good or really damn good to all of the major services.  Hooray for that.
1 year 16 weeks ago	Homeland	Every September I renew Showtime for Dexter but with this past season of Dexter being a complete disaster I only kept the subscription for Homeland.  Great cast, great 24-ish story without the ridiculous plot twists and the right mix of dramatic tension and action. Dexter on the other hand?  What a shipwreck that show has become.

1 year 25 weeks ago	Legends division	With a win over OSU and a NW win over State, Michigan would share the Legends division title. The tiebreaker determines the BTCG rep but not the outright division winner. It's largely semantics because without a spot in the champ game a co-division title won't mean much but it sure will piss off Sparty. The weekly Big Ten press release lays all this out for those who are wondering. I'd link to it but I don't think I have enough points yet. Go Blue!
1 year 27 weeks ago	Exactly	He's Joe fricken Paterno.  He could have picked up the phone and had the University police chief in his living room within an hour to take McQueary's account.  Simply running it up the flagpole to his AD is just ridiculous.  He IS the flag!
