UCLA's Dante Moore reportedly intends to enter transfer portal after bumpy season | West Observer

"Late Saturday night, as he met with reporters at the Rose Bowl, Moore acknowledged the burden he felt during a season in which his mother battled cancer before declaring herself free of the disease this week on social media. “There’s just a lot of things I’ve been going through, you know, mentally and things like that,” Moore said. “Just far from home and doing these type of things can be pretty tough at times.”

He's homesick. What is best for him is not more $$$, but to be home and develop under Michigan's coaches.

Kalamazoo Growlers Offer Ryan Day 3rd Base Coaching Position

I've been watching prices on…

I've been watching prices on multiple sites over the past few weeks trying to find tickets. Here is my observation - your experience may vary.

Prices jumped up after the Penn State game and held steady and spiked again briefly around the Maryland game. Prices have started to drop over the last 24 hours; however, the number of tickets available is steadily dropping as well.

There is activity on the Alumni Ticket Exchange board - most willing to offer the market price without the broker fees, so if you are an alum, I recommend checking that out. I was able to purchase tickets from a kind, unselfish alum well below what I would have paid on Seatgeek, StubHub, and TixPick. These are the folks who are keeping Buckeye fans out of the Stadium. The University should be doing more to keep the tickets in house and minimize the need for a broker.

Sell them to me. I'm looking for 3 tickets and will use them.

For Alumni, there is a ticket exchange:

I'm not concerned about who…

I'm not concerned about who MSU would hire since it is a stepping stone position, especially in the new Big 10. However, if he is interested in coaching, they should look to hire Chris Spielman, a man of impeccable character and a known name still connected to football in the Midwest. To be relevant, they need to make a splash hire who can assemble the right coaching staff for that program. A specific drawback for Sparty is that he wanted to play for Michigan.

If you are alumni, there is…

Cfbnerds,

What mgonerds appreciate about Mgoblog is the geeky analysis and breakdown of the games. I'm curious what you think of the analysis here. The writers here put a lot of effort into the work and I do consider them fairly objective (as one can be for a team-specific blog). What do you outside nerds think about the nerdage going on here?

Same here. After the game, the whole crowd stood in disbelief not knowing what to say or do. Internally, I blamed Chuck Winters, but it was more luck than one man's failure to spot the ball after a lifetime of playing DB....

Deion will be the most…

Deion will be the most successful as long as he hires quality coordinators and gives them proper autonomy. Deion's job is to create a productive culture and recruit, which he already has shown he can do at a high level.

The next question will be where does he go after Colorado? If I was Mike Novell, I would be getting nervous if Colorado starts winning.

Luke Hamilton from Avon committed to Michigan & it sounds like Ohio State is taking some Ohio kids for granted. This isn’t a good trend long-term.

In OT, if the first team scores on their first possession, the other team gets a possession, however, they are not allowed to tie the game. If the second team is down by 6 and scores a TD, they must convert the XP or they lose.

If both teams had a possession, it's sudden death. First team scores wins.

Yes, there is still an advantage of winning the coin flip, but this gets around the players' union's reluctance to have long overtimes.

I'm bought into the future…

I'm bought into the future of Michigan basketball under Juwan, but let's hold off calling it "golden age" until at least one National Championship. Juwan has a long way to go before matching the team success that Beilein had.

I'm there with you in the excitement. The trajectory looks like the program will be a powerhouse! I'm hoping the eventual commitment of Jett would indicate that Juwan will be here for 7 to 8 years. If Juwan does establish a golden age with championships, I expect him to move onto the NBA. Beilein couldn't resist the calling and Juwan is an exponentially better fit than Beilein was.

Between 1957 and 1987, there was just one wildfire that exceeded 100,000 acres. Since the national forests were primarily shut down from logging, Oregon averages about 500,000 acres being burned every year. The ideologues can go try to ban cars and planes in the name of climate change, but to help actual people living in Oregon, there are obvious and practical solutions that are being ignored.

It's intellectually lazy to…

It's intellectually lazy to just blame it on "climate change." Forest management in Oregon has been awful catering to the environmentalist extremists, The government could have done something to prevent wildfires from being this out of control, but they didn't. Hows the spotted owl doing now?

It's an overstatement to say…

It's an overstatement to say "78% of people." The study included inflected patients ages 45-53 years old. This virus appears to be affecting people differently by age, and this study only included those sick enough to require a hospital visit, which is a small percentage of all positive cases. I'm glad researchers are studying all angles of this disease and people should read up as much as they can, but there is no need to provoke fear for every negative thing we hear, especially when the positive developments don't get nearly the same media coverage.
