Swagers often do rub people the wrong way. I think the main reason is that they're not really designed for use on people.

After seeing Harris rocking the Michigan hat, he knows he doesn't really have to. Obviously.

Lewis, Gedeon. They've shown very good flashes of their potential in live action. I'm really excited about these two guys.

But once the next Ty Wheatley commits, he will then become the current Ty Wheatley. So we will still need to seek the next Ty Wheatley after that.

Used to, right off exit 370, but that's closed now. Rudyard suburb, known as Kincheloe, has a Clyde's now. It's right by the prisons and Chippewa Co. airport.

Seems as if you and the guy above who replied directly to me mistook my post as "piling on" Al Borges, or perhaps being argumentative. Neither one was my intent. I merely stated a fact that some seemed to be overlooking - the fact that UM couldn't run the ball. I didn't place blame, did I?

Some (all) of those former teams were able to run the ball for positive yardage, too. Just a thought.

I like the idea of the legends patch and activating those numbers to be worn again. But deciding when and to whom said number will be assigned is confusing a bit, at least to me. So far it's been mostly based on merit, from what I can tell (Kovacs, JMFR, etc). I'd assume the player could refuse it, but it seems a pretty nice honor, and a cool opportunity to get to know famous alums or their families (at UNC it'd probably be worth 3-4 credits). Hard to think any 20-ish year old kid would refuse it.
However, does it ever become a point of contention among players? Or do they even really care? I'd be curious to know what criteria the staff sets forth in offering a number to a given player. Until these things are known, it's hard for me to criticize too much.
However, I do agree with those who like one guy to have one number his whole time at UM. I mean, that in itself is enough to spark those great memories for me. For example, some anonymous 4th string walk-on who's only visible on the sideline could be wearing #20, and I'll flash back to Mike Hart breaking tackles and dragging guys along for a ride on his way to another 200 yard game. Or I'll see Ian Gold flying in on a blitz or running sideline to sideline pursuing RB's. The list of numbers I can do that with is a long one. I don't need any patch for that.
Hey, maybe that'd be a fun, positive thread regarding numbers. Which player to you associate with a given number and what do you recall most?

Totally agree. I mean, how long will it be until other programs come after him with more money or a fancier title?
Side note: how many Taylors can we fit in one secondary?

All you need to do is say you're celebrating your 21st birthday (for the 19th time). Then go do it. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts.
PS- Good luck convincing your own body of this line of bullshit. It knows better.

I'm trying not to be giddy but am failing miserably.
I've been trying to think when it was that the last true home run hitter RB was in the UM backfield. Was it Ty Wheatley? Hmmmm, same first name as Isaac. Similar size, too. The Ty that binds. Awesome.
