The 10 minutes without a stoppage was in the first OT of Game 5. The Hawks won in 2OT. I believe Q called that the best OT playoff hockey he had seen. It certainly was the best (and as you said, most terrifying) playoff OT I've seen. I watched it on my phone in a hotel in Ireland at 4am.

100% agree. The rule either needs to go or the penalty needs to be changed to a yardage penalty (maybe 25 yards instead of the normal 15 for a personal foul) from an ejection. You can still eject the player if it's obvious there was intent to injure. I know that's subjective but it's better than the current horrible targeting roulette regime.
If we win that game we could have won the NC even with the Illinois 3-3 tie because Oklahoma had one loss. Of course we would have had to beat UCLA in the Rose Bowl instead of Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl.

You know the writer is clueless when they compare Harbaugh’s teams’ results to Hoke’s. If we lose to ND 31-0 next fall maybe this comparison will carry more weight.

The spread/odds on most sports bets are fixed when the bet is placed. In Parimutuel betting e.g. in horse racing the odds aren’t fixed until all bets are placed.
The reason you wouldn’t wait until the end is the line can go against you too. If you think that line is going up (I’ve seen 11 not 13) and you wanted to bet on OSU you’d lock 11 points right now.

Exactly. I’ve seen people say they’d rather go 1-11 and beat Ohio State than go 11-1 and lose to Ohio State. That mindset makes zero sense to me.
