...Yuengling. And lots of it!

Reaction to the outside world.

Why should we care how people outside the Michigan community view our coach or our program? I surely don't and I dont know why any Michigan fan would.  Be proud to be a Michigan Wolverine fan and if you don't like RR or you want him gone, voice your opinion, but don't compare him to a Sparty and definitely don't base your opinions on what everyone else thinks. The bandwagon is not meant for true fans.

Greg Brown

Brown's status on Scout has been changed to Soft Verbal. He recently visited Syracuse and I he liked his expereince. Could be a decommit...

Kentucky

I'll be driving up Friday morning from Brandenburg, Kentucky. It's a 6 hour drive I think.

Im sure this one's been used before...

Sound Awake.

I agree. However, I think a 3-3-5 can be turned into a 4-2-5 depending on how a team lines up. Craig Roh will be the "4" I think in a 4-2-5 which I think Michigan will use a lot as well.
Craig Roh will be a monster. The basics of this defense will give Mr. Roh all kinds of ways to murder the opposition. "Stacking" our defense will give Ezeh the reigns to do what he does and Mouton the ability to play in space and hits the holes. I'm just curious to see who will fill the safety spots. Only time will tell.
scholarship breakdown We could actually give out three more scholarships. Gibson, Sims and Wright are all graduating this year. Wright is only a redshirt junior but he is graduating early so we won't have to give him a scholly next year. So after this year is over with the committs we already have, we'll have 10 players. Eso Akunne got a scholarship this year but it was only a year deal. So we could sign Zeigler, Horford and someone else. I'm sure Beilein will only sign two more players this year and that depends on whether or not Z and Horford come to UM. Let's hope. And plus, I think he'll save a scholarship for a big man next year (Williams, Plumlee, etc.)
Australian bands are always on my itunes. Bands like... Karnivool Dead Letter Circus Sleep Parade Rook The Butterfly Effect COG Definitely some good shit. Check em out.
Agree. Losing Sims may be just as bad as losing Harris. I am very curious to see who will replace these two in the starting lineup. We can only hope that Smotrycz will come in and start at the 4 and Morgan will come off his injury and do some banging down low at the 5 position. Now for the 3 spot? If Zeigler doesn't come to Michigan, I don't know who will play this position. I really don't think Zack Novak is the answer at 3. In Beilein's system I look at the 3 spot being someone who can take it to the whole and hit a 3 when needed. Novak just isn't that in my opinion. I love the kid's determination and heart, I just think he's primarily a shooter and a good rebounder. Maybe getting Horford and Zeigler is the answer. With Brundidge already signing for 2011, we'll have one spot open and hopefully we can sign a center at that time (Amir Williams, if you're reading this, we'd love to have you.)
If Manny leaves... we will have two spots available. I know we gave Eso Akunne a scholarship this year but I don't think we will next year. I just haven't seen enough video on Horford to say whether or not we should spend our last scholarship on him or use it in 2011 on Amir Williams maybe?...
Classic. like Font... but Sont. Classic. Video of Fitz leads me to believe that he could run like Minor. I hope he's nothing like Minor in the fact that the dude was injured his whole career. I agree with a lot of you on Shaw. I don't see him being a starting back for our team. If FT lives up to the hype, him and Vincent Smith would be a nice one two punch.
Serious. Serious.
I read the post. Comparisons have been made by the recruiting sites that Hankins is a less fundamental Will Campbell. Their sizes compare and so does their technique. Thats why I said recruiting sites are worthless and if you listen to reports that he is an OSU lean, then you will also believe he can be compared to Will Campbell which is absolutely crazy after watching videos of the two. "Hooked on phonix worcs fur mi"
Recruiting sites... are worthless. Let me know when he signs a letter of intent to play at Michigan and then we can compare him to Will Campbell or what have you. I want to see them perform on the field. I trust that RR will recruit the guys he believes will help our team win. There are too many examples of athletes that succeed when recruiting sites say they won't or aren't good enough to do so.
SLB Well, who's gonna play SLB?...
I don't think so.. My mind is shot right now but I'm pretty sure not. I could be severely wrong but I usually am. Maybe RR will be the first. Optimism is pretty cool. I never use it but I've tried it out and it's nice. It makes me all tingly inside.
Let me know... When the Raiders are ever on the same level as Michigan. BE A FAN. Yes RR is most of the blame for our "falling off the mountain" but take a step back before you run and hide is all I'm saying. I criticize RR but I don't say stupid shit like "well I'll just not watch any more football games this season and move on to hockey and basketball". I will watch every game, every season for the rest of my life.
No, sorry. Maybe if we keep posting people will start getting a clue. And we can be rid of the weak.
Octal gets it. Only a million more fans to go.
... what a piece of shit The played from BSU did entice the guy, but still, what a piece of shit. I hope he gets kicked off the team and kicked outta school.
... WMU's Defense I really think that WMU will struggle with our offense. I've watched some things from last and year and from this year's spring squad and they seem really slow at the linebacker position and I don't think there d-line can hang with our o-line. I expect Carlos Brown to have a monster game. Look for him to be the star of the game.
10-3 10-3 with a bowl win.
...the other beast. Ryan Van Bergen is a monster. I bet we'll see him on at least the 2nd team. Minor, Martin, Graham and Mesko are for sures in my book.
... negativity Can we stop with this shit?... Out of all of those comments I might have seen 4 or 5 that were actually positive. Brandon Graham has as much a possibility of going down as anyone else. For those of you who believe in RR, you know that if someone does go down that he will have someone on the back burner to come in and do the job. I'm looking forward to this season and seeing our young players step it up. I personally love our LB crew and I think we can be just as good in the secondary.
What I don't get... The "insider" says 8-4 is going to be our record. Bologna. He is assuming we are going to be 8-4 and lose to teams that are "supposed" to be bettern than us. If I were guessing he probably has us losing to OSU, PSU, Iowa and either MSU or Illinois. Our track record against PSU speaks for itself. Let's recall a certain 17-14 half time score in Happy Valley last year and a tie ball game going into the 4th against our little brother. 7-5 was possible last year considering our close games. 8-4 isn't that big of a leap from that and I think our boys know how to win this year. Our defense is going to be on a killing spree due to all the haters. Not to mention we will be even more of a threat on offense with a more developed playbook. I hope Ohio State is ready for an ass whooping.
journalistic malpractice Classic. I hope he gets fired.
... lighting a spark I don't think Rosenberg realized that what he did would fire up are players and get them closer and closer to absolutely annihilating WMU on Saturday and "his Spartans" on October 3rd. If our players show even half of the passion that Rodriguez is showing it's gonna be a long day and a long season for our opponents this season.
.... ... well the Big Ten's record in BCS games speaks for itself.
and to counter... ... Fix it before it becomes broken. Records tell the story.
it's not a problem... There's no way that would happen. If they did expand to 12 teams, Michigan and Ohio State would be put on the "same side" and it couldn't happen because of our head to head.
Why not... The Big Ten needs another team. I don't think having a championship game would diminish our last game of the season with those bastards in Ohio. If Michigan and Ohio State were let's say in the East side of the new Big Ten with 12 teams and we kicked their ass the last game that would keep them from getting to a BCS game and it would keep them from winning the conference, both pluses in my book. One "side" of the conference may be stacked but changes always occur and teams may be better down the road then they are now. I think Pittsburg or Syracuse would be the best choice but I doubt either of those teams will do it considering their chances of winning in the Big Ten are much harder and that would take the Big East to 7 teams. Garbage. I'm just curious if they would change the name of the conference. It's already stupid having 11 teams in a 10 team conference. I wonder what kind of name they could come up with. Probably something stupid like the Great Lakes Conference.
S.O.S. With non-conference cupcakes on our schedule (too many I think) and not playing Illinois and Purdue our Strength of Schedule might drop all the way down to..... ... 20. We still have a very tough schedule and Beilein will have our boys ready. I've hear many say that our S.O.S will be much lower than it was last year and I call complete idiocracy. Take a gander at that schedule one time and you might change your mind. at Kansas, at Utah, the Old Spice Classic with the likes of Marquette, Xavier, Baylor, Alabama and Florida State, UConn at home and BC at home. Not to mention a killer big ten schedule.
