Anyone else see Jett Howard filling the Franz Wagner role?

One of the easiest things I have had my athletes work on to improve quickness is jump rope.  10 cycles of 30 seconds on and 1 minute off, going as fast as you can during that time.  I have had kids go from barely able to jump rope to looking like Rocky.  lol  It is simple and it works, and improves both speed and agility.

Ben used to have a strong arm, that just doesn't appear to be the case any longer.

As a fan of both teams, this makes sense for both and I would be on board but the proposal someone makes about a trade with Denver would be much better for the Lions. 

Unlike you, who only watches the games, coaches are with them a lot, and yes their job is more than just winning.  They need to develop them as players and human beings.  While some people do need a kick in the pants every now and then, even in the media, many don't respond well to that style, and let's just assume that the coaches know more than us how to handle it.

LSU had more talent than we did in the receiver world, and it didn't seem to bother them at all.

Arizona is the perfect example.  Our governor did what he needed to do at first but then caved under pressure from our gun toting protesters, unlike Gov. Whitmer, and then opened up too soon, and now look how high our cases have gotten.

He has got to do what is best for himself and his family, and I think Coach Howard will handle it much better than Painter did.

Exactly!  A coach saying something to motivate one of his current players, apples, a coach saying something about a player who left his program, oranges.  

Van Der Heijden's game seems to resemble Wagners game to me.  

These types of opinions from a "recruiting expert" are why they are writing for a living and not coaching a team!

Dwumfour leaving Michigan, where he was going to start and get a ton of playing time, for Rutgers has got to be one of the most hard to understand transfers yet.

I think that the stable of running backs for Michigan this upcoming season is one of the best they have had in well over a decade.

I would take the under on OSU, Wisconsin, and Penn State and I would take the over on everyone else.

People worry about recruiting in general, too much.  Do people really think the coaches don't want to win and don't want great players?  

That wouldn't be a bad move at all, certainly wouldn't hurt.

The problem was too many cooks in the kitchen.  As a HS OC, having three people in line trying to make a play call is never going to work.

I can easily seeing Wagner make a jump.  I think Dickenson will be better than expected.  I too like to be as optimistic as possible.

Love the Ohio kids who come to Michigan to play.  They always seem to have a chip on the shoulder, which I love in a football player.

I really like that video of Dana shuffling down the line when the tackle down blocks, it is textbook perfect play from a DE.  Something that many high school DE's struggle with, and that drives HS coaches crazy.

Exactly!  This streak against OSU is more of a mental thing than anything else.  We have obviously recruited more talent than MSU and Purdue but yet we haven't beaten them.

Am I the only one who would love for the staff to watch some tape of Trace McSorley and copy it for Shea?  To me they seem like very similar players and I just think that Shea would tear it up in that system.

Many times coaches will run plays multiple times so they can get it on film against an opponent.  It is used as a great teaching tool when they go over film with the team.

Yes, they do.  Figure the shortstops are usually the best athletes and can play multiple positions.

Seems to have great hands.  It is nice to see a receiver not just blowing by a DB for a long pass.  He shows some great wiggle after the catch.

My best guess is that they finish the conference with a 11-7 record and firmly on the bubble needing to win at least two games in the conference tourney to have any shot of getting in the Big Dance.
