I will never forget the day of Hokes press conference..I was off of work for the day ice fishin on a lake nearby when all of a sudden i remembered: Press conference at 1pm!!! I busted my ass to my car turned to the station and sat there, lit up a cigarrette and wondered what the heck i was in for ..I had never seen a picture of Brady (always pictured him as a skinny guy :) )..His voice on the radio commanded my attention..."we would have walked to get here" made my mouth open wide.."This is Michigan fer godsakes" made me pound my fricken steering wheel over ans over with such Michigan Pride..I was captivated..just from the mans voice. I loved Brady Hoke before i realized what he even looked like. Call it a man crush , call it what you will,I do not care..and Go Blue!
This recruiting is just a joy to follow. The ups and downs. Highs and lows, comparisons,analysis. The thing I get most excited about is Coach Hoke and our staff, and the value they put on Senior Leadership. The guys were pickin up now, this years class and the '13 class,being young men that truely love Michigan and want to be here: Just wait untill they are Seniors!!
Hearing you saying this makes me excited. Because imagine the potential of a highly rated recruit coming in and devolping and playing for Mattison for four years. And not to mention the competitive nature that Hoke has brought in the fold by saying that you're job is on the line every day and you must represent Michigan and be accountable to your team. Man do I get a warm fuzzy Michigan defense feelin from that!
