He's not really that obscure, but my favorite player is Chris Howard, tailback for the 97 National Championship team. I was still in the fourth grade in CT when I flew out to Ann Arbor with my dad to visit an old family friend and take in the Michigan-Notre Dame game that year. I had the opportunity to tour Schembechler Hall, during which I bumped into Chris; he was very cool, shook my hand - he was great. Plus, his taste in women is well documented.
My other not-really-that-obscure Michigan favorite also hails from that team - Tai Streets.
Robinson played at Deerfield Beach HS, which is a 6A school - Florida's highest classification. They advanced to the state quarterfinals this season and the semifinals last season. This season they lost in the quarters to Miramar HS (Eugene Smith, QB, WVU) and last year they lost to eventual "national champion" Miami Northwestern (see all of UMiami's [yes, that Miami] roster). It should also be noted that Deerfield played this year's "national champion" and 6A champion St Thomas Aquinas (Duron Carter, WR, OSU) - they got stomped pretty good, though.
So to answer your question - yeah, they play football good.
