| 2 weeks 1 day ago | How valid is this population |
How valid is this population shift claim? I realize that the population is growing in the south faster than in the midwest, but it's not like the population is shrinking in the midwest either. There are a finite number of spots available on D1 football rosters, and the population in the midwest has been enough to fill that. On the other side of the same coin, the number of spots on SEC rosters isn't growing, so more good recruits coming from the south will lead to an overflow to other areas. |

If that subsidy is to pay the academic services director, maybe I should start trying to be the academic services director. |

How about the fact that the thing that sucks that you're talking about doesn't actually exist? |

'Jabrill Peppers - Heavy UM Lean' or something to that effect. EDIT: But this is great news if true! I have a feeling this is shaping up to be yet another extremely solid class. |

"I have more important things than this to worry about that actually effect my life directly." I agree wholeheartedly. Just imagine if that were a football championship game and it actually did affect our lives directly! |

Well, now you've jinxed the current banner by talking about it and we have to change it. |

Meh. As a purebred midwesterner, I would rather live in many, many places than LA, and Columbus is one of them. |

If you don't want to get heckled as an opposing fan, don't sit in the student section. It's that simple. EDIT: I should have read further before posting. Apparently the usher said it. That's a little different. |

You really can't blame him, it gave us the best chance to win.
Apparently I'm in a Rich Rod hating mood today. Someone keep Section 1 away from me. |

The reason his reaction has not been posted is because it has not been determined if McDowell did, in fact, react to his visit. No need to worry. |

| 17 weeks 5 days ago | I keep hearing that girl's |
I keep hearing that girl's soccer is really dangerous because their necks don't have the muscles to withstand fast changes in direction which often leads to neck injuries. I have to imagine football would be even more dangerous for the average girl. With that said, this is not an 'average' girl, and she can clearly hold her own. I have no problem with it in this case, but I don't think your average girl should be allowed to play contact football. |

Game's not over, we can do this! |
| 18 weeks 4 hours ago | Not usually one to complain |
Not usually one to complain about downvotes, but seriously flamebait? It's not exactly a secret that Rich Rod's offenses were good until they got to a big game and the defenses were awful. Drawing the comparison to this basketball team seems obvious. |

I hate this logic. Yes, calls may not be made, but why wouldn't we be able to take advantage of the same thing? Bottom line is, we suck in tough road environments. The refs are not making us lose this game. |

I was thinking Michigan under Rich Rod, but your comparison is more accurate. |

Ah, the offseason, when every aspect of the team is supposed to improve. But seriously, I agree with what your wrote, with the caveat that I don't know how the pass offense will be next year with 3 new starters on the interior. Run blocking should improve though, because that can't get any worse. |

| 20 weeks 2 days ago | Agreed re: Illini fans |
I went to the 2009 football game against them (which was completely awful in its own right) and their fans are the worst I've experienced. Yes, worse than sparty fans (also went to that game that year, and it was also awful for obvious reasons). I have no idea why they hate us so much. |

You're wrong. I doubt I could shoot better than 50% in an empty gym. |
| 20 weeks 6 days ago | Withouth knowing much about |
Without knowing much about the teams ranked ahead of us, I think 12 is too high for now. We may certainly earn it by the end of the year, but we still need to prove we can have a running game post-Denard. We'll have 3 new guys on the line, which may actually be a good thing, but we'll have a bunch of unproven guys in the back field, unless Toussaint makes a full recovery. I'd put us in the high teens or low 20s. |
