Ha, close! I was across the hall...but if you're a cartee lab alum, I probably know you. I was there for 5 (!) years.

Began working in a Kinesiology lab in 2008 as a freshman, walked by a dude who was "analyzing data" but was really looking at a Michigan football blog I hadn't heard of. Read it once, hated it, twice, tolerable, by the third time: addicted.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Moses end up marching the Jews through the desert for 40 years?

Agreed. The taste was similarly delightful, while the value proposition was hugely in favor of Maize and Blue Deli...I mean, the fact that you could get a reuben at MBD that was a solid 2.5-3 inches thick for the cost of, like, chips and a pickel at Zingerman's meant I was always eating at MBD. Of course, when the parents came to town it was Zingerman's!
Also, I really liked the owners/family at MBD, very low-key and easy to talk to.

Everyone remember to call in and point out that Brian looks like the dude from Nickelback.

Was in 6th grade, so I didn't get to hear anything about it until my mom picked me up for my piano lesson at the end of the day. It was (and remains) the only time I've ever seen my mom (an extremely stoic woman) cry.
On a separate note, I remember being irritated at all the kids at school the next day who were scared that terrorists were going to attack our school (in the middle of podunk Michigan).

Really? That's my number one tell for if I won't like someone. To me, it smacks of 'Oh, I don't want to make you feel inferior because of how awesome my school is, and I don't want to sound like a braggart because of how great the Harvard name is, so I'll just say "Boston" instead and wait for you to ask me "What school in Boston, BU? Harvard? MIT?" so I can reply smuggly "Harvard". '

I agree, they are, and I agree that Brian is knowledgeable, but people put fanatics (and I mean that in the most endearing way) like Brian on a pedestal because he has a great platform and is a great communicator. Having real life experience in anything is just as important as theoretical background.

Lol I forgot this is MGoBlog, where armchair quarterbacks definitely know more than people who played the game. I'm not even the OP, but come on man. Playing the game probably does give you a little more insight than Joe Fan.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||No one said anything about||
No one said anything about "effort" or kids not playing hard. The argument is about whether you can tell a difference in peoples' body language. I don't know how you're going to argue against the fact that some teams play with a lot more self-confidence, i.e. "swagger" than other teams.

Watch how Michigan State's defense plays, and tell me that you can't tell when players are playing with aggresiveness and "swagger". There's a night and day difference in the body language between that and whatever we've been watching for the past 8 years.

What's the point of televising football games? What's the point of televising Jim Harbaugh press conferences? What's the point of watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians? Entertainment. Duh. That's why we do this whole thing.
