I don't particularly like the idea, but it could be interesting. If it could be done well, without losing the "cavernous bowl" feel, it might be cool. I feel like that'd be hard to do, though, so in general I'd be against it.
Last year I helped a friend pull a prank on his international student classmate. I showed up to the guy's door at about 9pm, dressed in a suit and wearing sunglasses, with a fake deportation notice and a semi-believable alias. I had the guy convinced that he was getting deported immediately, and there was nothing he could do about it. He followed me to the car, where our mutual friend was waiting, and he realized that he'd been had.
I don't pull pranks very often, so that's the most eventful April Fool's I've had.
Yesterday was one of the best days I've ever had on campus as a Michigan fan that attends MSU - I couldn't stop smiling/cackling. Felt like it's been a long time coming. This place revolves around Izzo much more than I ever thought (before I came here), and it was pretty funny to see how everyone reacted. Much more of a gut punch to these people than losing to Bama on NYE.
You didn't start until your senior year? I'm a junior and figured I had no chance getting any kind of manager/assistant job because I would only be around for another year or so. I've regretted not trying to get involved from the start many times.
I'm an undergrad student at MSU right now... decided a degree from a respected university was more important than my rooting interests. There are great people and opportunities here, though it has been pretty hard not having people around who love UM athletics like I do.
I finally came to grips this fall that I love both MSU and UM... But I'd still rather see the Wolverines in the B1G title game this week
I'm an MSU student, so there are actually a decent amount that I appreciate/like a lot. Andrew Maxwell, Josiah Price, Matt Costello, and Mike Sadler make the short list.
That being said, Go Blue! It's a heck of a time to be an "undercover" Wolverine fan in Sparty country.
I didn't get admitted to UofM, so I took my academic career to another Big Ten school. I'm a student at MSU who roots for the Spartans whenever they don't play Michigan, but still about 10x more a Michigan fan. The plan is to attend the UofM Dental School, partially so that I can justify my fanhood.
You may have seen my friends and me on TV if you've watched any MSU games this fall:
Nothing beats coming back from a morning hunt (usually squirrel or deer for me) to watch an afternoon full of football, especially on Thanksgiving weekend.
Add to that playoff baseball and steelhead fishing once they start running, and I just don't know how to spend my time.
Unfortunately for me, I'll be in school for a few years yet, limiting how much time I get to spend in the woods/on the water. Can't go home every weekend.
Am I the only one who thinks the only event at the Big House should be something affiliated with the university? Football and lacrosse (or whatever other school sport they want to play there) and graduations. I don't want to see it become just some venue for crap like concerts or Globetrotters "games."
I like to think that there's a difference between the athletic department of a university and a professional sports team. Not saying coaches don't deserve a cut, just that the comparison is a little flawed if you hold to the idea that college athletics is about more than money.

Not that it matters much, but there's nothing new about "Coach D." Their fanbase has been using that nickname for years.
He seemed to offer up a lot more information than usual. Fun to hear his thought process on redshirts, sitting out bowl games, etc.

I don't think it will be an issue, but I found the comparison interesting.

Also, Mattison gives some of the best press conferences. Informative and fun.

I've always been a pretty big fan of RC, though I don't drink pop very much
Pretty impressive kid.
It's a strange world we live in...
Looking forward to seeing many of you tomorrow and having no idea who you are!
I hope I never have daughters that want to play HS volleyball for this reason alone.
Brian Regan will always be a favorite of mine. I think he's been on Letterman more than any other performer (for what it's worth).

Best follow on Twitter... by a longshot
Ahhhh my first posbang... I need some points.

Gotta love when guys come back to show some love for the team. Also liked hearing that Rick Leach still comes around the other day.
2.
1. Bo - Because he's Bo.
2. Jim Harbaugh - Because he's insane.
3. Pete Carroll - Hated his teams, but his players have always seemed to really enjoy playing for him.
4. Brady Hoke - Seems like such an awesome dude. I don't see how anyone could not like him (coaching ability aside).
5. Hugh Freeze - All around good guy.
Chills. I need to be there! Any guesses on attendance?
