the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

| 1 week 2 days ago | Started with some Blue Moon |
Started with some Blue Moon during the game since I was pretty much drinking without tasting. Now to celebrate the W, I'm looking at some Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA and Deschutes Mirror Pond IPA. Probably a bottle of 2011 Goose Island Bourbon County Stout as well. |

Is no one else impressed that Rob Parker is so good at blaming the victims that he was three and a half years early on the whole Titantic thing? |

Sazerac Rye the win! Be jealous! Also a few Guinnesses and, sadly, as I run out of alcohol, Miller High Life... |

I don't think he'll enter the draft this year, but after his sophomore or junior year I think it becomes much more likely. He is a bit undersized but that won't hold him back if he has the talent. That being said, I think at least another year of college to refine his skills would help his draft stock immensely. He is obviously a terrific player but he does have areas to work on, especially as point guard is a very difficult position to play at the next level and has a steep learning curve. At times he over dribbles. At others he can try to force his way into the lane, basically committing himself, and consequently the play/possesion, to a one on one iso drive. When you combine the overdribbling and the forced penetration, he does sometimes get into the lane only to be caught without a good shot or anywhere to pass it. Finally, when he starts to feel it, he tends to drift farther and farther behind the three point line as he takes his shots and sometimes does so as soon as he has an opening and without setting up a play. In short, he is a freshman, an uber-talented one, but a freshman all the same. |

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Goose Island Green Line, and most likely some Yuengling later tonight. |
| 1 year 21 weeks ago | To me, that is |
To me, that is outrecruiting/preparing/maybe even simply outcoaching, but not outscheming. Outschemeing is done on the field with gameplanning and X's and O's which is what BRCE seems to have been directly referring to by saying that Tressel outschemed us up and down the field. And I agree it was dumb, but when you have little to no depth in the secondary, then one of your starters goes down, then the opponent keeps running out 4 wide sets, you don't really have any options left that don't make you look dumb (though, yes, this goes back to Carr's recuiting failings towards the end). |
| 1 year 21 weeks ago | I apologize if this is dumb |
I apologize if this is dumb but I admit to not knowing the NCAA rules all that well. Wouldn't Carr have had to sign the transfer papers early/before RR took over? After Rodriguez became coach, wouldn't the players need him to sign the transfer papers and not Carr? I'm not suggesting that Rodriguez wouldn't have signed them, but some coaches have been dicks about releasing players and, at that point (pre-Capital One Bowl) Carr and the players couldn't have been sure that Rodriguez would allow everyone who wanted to transfer to be released. |

| 1 year 24 weeks ago | I would tend to agree with |
I would tend to agree with you, but this particular instance is all about NCAA. It's not as if (to the best of my knowledge) ESPN is asking for transcripts, health records, family or personal information, just papers related to the Tatgate/Tressel cover up. Just because a piece of paper has a student's name on it, doesn't mean it's private or personal or whatnot and subject to being withheld. I am not at all advocating that the universities, courts, or anyone should allow every document be released, but I would put a dollar on there being at least some papers that have, up tot his point, been withheld that are not exaclty personal student/university papers. Having a ruling that makes OSU give ESPN certain papers doesn't completely take out FERPA regulations. Any court with common sense (on this case, and, especially, in the future if this were to go in ESPN's favor) would have no problem drawing a line between proteced and not protected paperwork. That, I think, any university should be able to live with, and, in fact, want. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | To your last point that an |
To your last point that an association of universities would argue for less exposure...I certainly understand why that would be (and is) true, but at the same time, if the majority of those institutions have nothing to hide, what is there to lose by supporting a more narrow interpretation? It makes the universities look good for trying to help get to the bottom of the whole thing, plus, it makes it harder for the few schools in need of covering up, to do so. This not only cleans up the game, but also helps to level the playing field for all the schools/programs who are/have always played within the rules. |

My only guess would be sacks, which I am assuming happened more frequently to the statuesque Cousins than Denard, who, well, not so much. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Exactly! Just because their |
Exactly! Just because their only two losses are to the #1 and #2 teams doesn't mean squat. Assuming the polls have correctly picked the top two teams, theoretically, the other 118 should all lose those two games with Arkansas' schedule. All it proves is that Arkanas can lose to good teams, anyone can do that. The question should be, who have they actually beaten...the answer is next to nobody. |

I'm pretty sure the AP poll doesn't factor into the BCS rankings. Either way, just because Craig James, who may or may not have killed 5 hookers while at SMU, likes us this year, it doesn't mean his ballot isn't still complete crap. |

| 1 year 24 weeks ago | I definitely understand that. |
I definitely understand that. I suppose Florida/Meyer has been 'clean' at least as far as NCAA rules/violations/etc in the recent past. I guess I just can't personally see a program with 30 arrests in five years as being truely clean. Or, more importantly, the head coach responsible for those teams as being labeled a bastion of good, clean, college athletics. |

Mainly just curious as I've seen this sentiment posted quite a lot, here and on other sites, but how exactly did Meyer get labeled as a guy who will run a clean program? I seem to remember quite a few Florida players being arrested and whatnot under his watch, most of them barely getting a slap on the wrist...not exactly a model program in my opinion. |

This was already as official as unofficial could be for the past week...good for them, he's a good coach, but right now I couldn't care less because we won! |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Other than the defensive |
Other than the defensive players on the field for the last play, none of the Ohio players even made it past the numbers and the vast majority turned on the spot and walked down the tunnel...when exactly were the Michigan players supposed to shake their hands? Do OSU fans really expect them to chase the Ohio players down the tunnel and into the locker room to shake hands instead of celebrating with the sudent section? |
| 1 year 25 weeks ago | I completely agree! I |
I completely agree! I definitely think LSU and Alabama are the two best teams in the counrty. There isn't anyone else who is as good as/woujld be able to give LSU a better game than Alabama, however, they already had their chance and lost. At home. If the game had been at LSU and Alabama lost by three in OT I'd be more willing to support a rematch, but it was at Alabama and they still lost. So while that means a lesser team, be it OSU (if they beat OU), VaTech, even an undefeated Houston team facing LSU in the championship, there shouldn't be a rematch. |

You do realize Stanford lost to Oregon at home and not at Autzen as you have now mentioned a couple times...

| 1 year 25 weeks ago | Ohio State |
No question. Though I do get some of the people on here/that I know who dislike losing to State more because you have to deal with more State fans afterwords. Being from Toledo myself, I hate Ohio State even more because I have to deal with their fans all the time. But Ohio State is for sure our biggest rival (at least in football). Even all but the most delusional State fans know that, even if they won't say it. |

Assuming this becomes official, does anyone know the last Michigan head coach to take another college job after leaving Michigan? I know Moeller coached in the NFL for a bit after leaving but I can't think of anyone coaching in college after leaving Michigan. |

Good for him! I wish nothing but the best for Rich in Arizona. If he can get a competent defensive coordinator we may be meeting up with him in the Rose Bowl soon. |
| 2 years 8 weeks ago | Duke win |
Easily the Duke win. Not only do I hate Duke, but it's a guaranteed win, spot in the Sweet 16 and an easier matchup to advance farther. On the other hand, the recuit, no matter who it is has no guarantee and it's basically a crap shoot if he performs, wins games, or even stays with the program. I'll take the sure win over Duke 10 times out of 10. |

Being from Ohio I got about 50 postcards and letters from them. Each and every one of them found their way into a public toilet or urinal around Toledo. |
