Its his opinion, but ESPN just offended a large portion of there audience by letting him go off like that.  I really hope ESPN didn't know he was going to do that. If they did that was a terrible business decision.  

Its a hate group.  The SPLC carries a lot more wait than you do.  You said it wasn't controversial.  It was.  Do you remember the Pepsi commercial from that year or the Coke commercial?  The SPLC is very well respected non profit organization that has spent decades fighting groups like the KKK.  They are also listed as a resource on hate groups by the FBI.  They also frequently partner with the FBI.  Don't act like they are some fringe political group.  They aren't.  You can't seriously believe that the FBI would partner with them if they were.

Not like the ACC did they certainly didn't.   The ACC could have stated they were starting a network like the Big10 did instead of spouting off about their Grant of Rights. They started a network and announced that.  They did the same thing with the 50 million dollar exit fee and we know how that ended.  The Big10 starting a network is not even close to the same thing as the ACC announcing a Grant of Rights.  When the Big12 signed their grant of rights no one in the media was going on and on about how they would never lose another team like they are with the ACC now.

Regardless of any future realignment moves the ACC is the decidely 5th placed conference in a 4 team playoffs and is made up of almost half of the former Big East.

I doubt his is enforceable.  Just because the ACC says it is doesn't make it so.  The moresomeone screams that something is enforceable (which is in effect what the ACC is doing) the greater the chances are that they realize if someone challenges it that it  won't be.  How come you never hear the Big12, PAC12 or the Big10 flauting how similar agreements they signed make it impossible for them to leave?  This will meet the same fate as the ACC's lawsuit with Maryland will.

Penn State has nothing to do with Kentucky.  Not sure where you are going with that.   My point was Louisville was under a lot of pressure to beat Kentucky and almost lost to a bad Kentucky team.

They Big10 will not get 3 2 seeds.  Wiscy maxes out at a 3.  10 loss teams don't get 2 seeds.  That just doesn't happen.  Also people tend to overrate conference tournament results.  The committee factors them in like regular games, no more no less.

ASU's RPI is around 90.  They are out.  Highest RPI to ever get in I believe was 67.

Both are locks.  League record is not a criteria the committee uses.  The Illini have two wins over one seeds in addition to wins over Butler, OSU, and Minny.

That mock draft you linked has Cauley-Stein going 10th and Goodwin in the 20s.  Most updated mocks still have Poythress mid first round as well.  

Palm has them as an 8 seed.  They would have to fall to probably a 13 to be left out.  16 teams would have to pass them.  As long that RPI stays top 40 they would be fine and it will.  Look at who Kentucky, Tenn, St.Mary's, etc. have beaten. Those teams are on the right side of the bubble.  A bunch of the bubble teams are in the SEC so they are going to eliminate each other.  Who else would jump them? Maryland?  No chance.  Providence and St. John's probably will need to get to the Big East final.  Iowa is going to be in front of them.  They don't have the quality wins and they played a weak Big10 schedule.  Umass and Xavier probably need to get to the A10 final.

Why?  Conference rankings are not a criteria for getting a bid and for good reason.  The 4 teams in the Big10 Iowa didn't play twice were: Michigan, MSU, OSU, and Illinois.  They have no claim to be ahead or even close to Illinois or Minnesota.

A bubble team at best?  Have you looked at who is near the bubble?  Most of those teams either have no good wins or a pile of bad losses.  13 top 100 wins, 3-5 against the top 20, only played 3 games against sub 200 competition.  They have beaten MSU, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin in conference. 

Goodwin could be a top 10 pick.  Poythress and Cauley-Stein are projected to be mid first round picks.  Not sure where they got the idea that Noel was their only pro.  It simply isn't true.

The outcome of the Big10 title game does have bearing on seeding.  The committee has multiple scenarios mapped out depending on the outcome of the late title games.  It does not occur after the committee has made their decision.. How could it?  A team could make the final and be in a situation where the only way they get in is winning the autobid.

Beat Purdue and win the Big10 tournament and we get a 1 seed.

They are not going to be a 5 seed.  That is not happening. If they beat Indiana and get to the Big10 final they likely be a 1.  For one seeds you have Indiana, Duke/ Miami (1 not both), Gonzaga and after that Big10 #2 or Kansas likely.  Georgetown would have to run the table to be in the discussion and I don't see any chance of that happening.

MSU getting all the calls and the luck.  Every tipped ball seems to go right to them.  At least 5 points they got from purely luck.

Him and Palm have a habit of making some suspicious last second changes to their brackets.  Yahoosports' big board to me looks pretty accurate and its also easy to read.  Lunardi yesterday had the Vols moving into the bracket after an awful loss to Georgia.  That is not in any way logical.  He has Alabama as the first team out.  No way that is correct.  The committee over the years has made it clear with the Pac12 that major conferences teams with nice records, but no good wins and alot of bad losses will not get the benefit of the doubt.

I can't see both Miami and Duke getting one seeds and the Big10 only getting 1.  Miami plays at Duke and that game will either hand Duke another loss and remove them from the 1 seed conversation or knock Miami down so that the ACC tournament will likely decide which teams gets a one seed.

Miami barely escaped Clemson, BC and an injury depleted NC St.  Also the Indiana St. loss, which looked like it might not be a bad one, now looks like a bad loss.

My guess for the 1 seeds is 2 from the Big10, 1 from the ACC, and 1 out of Gonzaga, Big East, Florida, and Arizona.

I hate Big10 refs. It isn't rational that a team 6 steals, 5 OREB and 3 blocks and only 4 fouls.  If you play like that you are going to foul more then your opponent.

I did not say at the same level, but Indiana and OSU (who Illinois beat by 19) showed Illinois isn't an easy place to play.   Wisconsin, OSU , and Indiana were the 3 toughest road games, but they were not by any means the only tough road games.The Big10 has 7 teams that are basically tournament locks.  Michigan is 2-3 against them,  3-2 without a fluke shot at the buzzer.  Illinois is no train wreck.  They have wins over the #1 team, @ #5, #11 on a neutral court, and Minnesota.  

Indiana and OSU both lost at Illinois and we beat Illionois by 14.  MSU lost at Minnesota and we won there.  OSU doesn't visit Minnesota and Indiana and Wisconsin still have to.  Saying we are 0-3 in tough road environments is not correct.

Knight should kept his mouth shot.  Nike's move to pull Paterno's name off of a child care centre was the right one that should have been there only move.  No one outside of Paterno's family believes he didn't do anything wrong.
