Should this thread be locked? If that was a very big tip it could potentially be bad. I mean I usually tip on the low side, but now I don't want to see Michigan in trouble because of something stupid like this.
It's a mathematical formula, it is the most efficient and even way to do these things. Wisconsin beat a RANKED PSU team, Michigan eased by an unranked OSU team. The BCS is the best system that has been proposed and will eventually work itself out. The rankings don't matter until the last week of the year.
I'm glad people are now recognizing that the BCS does provide the same entertainment a "playoff" would! I don't think we'd be talking now about these playoffs, nor would Michigan be in a playoff (if it was small)! People forget that, now a win at #14 will put us on the same level as the rest of the BCS winners, otherwise we might not even BE IN THE PLAYOFFS!

All they talk about is the flashy uniforms and crazy offense Oregan puts out to that tiny stadium every weekend. The SEC speed everyone is excited about is a passing fad. The ground and pound style of the Big 10 is the only way football can continue to be relevant in this day of boy/girl sports.
I remember the game 42 years ago, it cemented Michigan as my favorite college football team and convinced me to apply. Likewise, I remember the game 8 years ago as well, but for less fortunate reasons.

I have a friend who is (unfortunately) a big OSU booster, and he is convinced the Sandusky issue is going to help OSU, basically now Ohio committed the lesser of two evils and the Big 10 is going to want to hide the OSU situation so the whole conference doesn't look corrupt. When you think about it, those in other conferences probably consider the BIG 10 as dirty as the SEC now, it's the sad reality. First the Iowa practice-exhaustion issue, then OSU, then PSU... sorry but the Big 10 is dominating college football controversies right now thanks to OSU and PSU... we can thank them for tarnishing our name along with every other institution in this conference.
Michigan players seem to be the most articulate group of UM basketball players in decades. I am especially impressed with Trey, Zack and Tim in their respective interviews. To be able to go out and knock off a top 10 team is very impressive. Then, to go inside the team room and intelligently break down what you just did without any cliches or botching of the English language is solid evidence of a smart team. Gifted young men; quite, quite impressive.
Very important question: Why does EVERYONE in Ohio own a red OSU hooded-sweatshirt? Even adults wear these sweatshirts with hoods and a big kangaroo-pocket in the front. I can't recall any article of clothing Michigan fans wear with such enthusiasm, but I swear when I drive through Ohio I see entire families wearing the same damn sweater! Even adult men!
There are UM players who ar studying to be nurses, a very noble and worthwhile profession. Much better than being a general studies major in my opinion, the field is growing and there will always be jobs. Plus, with a football player's size, he could be a great nurse for doing some of the more physical labor. Really, it's a great major for a football player.
I will defend that field from you damned hooligans if it costs me dearly! This is out of control and pure anarchy if you students even think about it. Have some respect and act like you've been there before. I don't think I could be more embarassed, think about it when the students rushed the court for basketball last year! Embarassing.

I asked this in another thread, but what in God's good name was wrong with our uniforms? The shoes were some bastard blue (with equally atrocious matching warm up tops that looked like they were stolen from nurses at the UM hospital) and the actual uniforms hurt my eyes. That "maize" (WHICH IT WAS NOT) doesn't show well on HDTVs, maybe someone at Adidas should take note. Or maybe they are too busy counting money while desecrating our traditions.
