This is more than long overdue. He'd been the d-league's #1 prospect in their prospect watch for some time now. Plus after his last week of putting up 36 and 46, i know the Cavs and other teams had to take notice. Good for fresh
I think Dymonte Thomas could be looking at a move up when they update the rankings. I don't know how to block quote, but Josh Helmholdt had this to say about the toughest decisions:
"Josh Helmholdt: Alliance (Ohio) Marlington safety Dymonte Thomas is one of the fastest players in the Midwest for 2013, and overall an outstanding athlete. As a junior, though, he mostly played close to the line of scrimmage and we did not get a chance to see much of him in coverage. So, we did not get too bullish on his ranking until we were able to more thoroughly assess his coverage skills."
These rankings aren't final are they? Because I seem to remember Anthony Davis overtaking Austin Rivers wayyyyy late in the summer after the McDonald's All-American game last yr.
The hope is that by next season, Carlton is ready to give the team some quality minutes while Trey gets a breather & Eso can slide back into that "key reserves" category.
Without looking too far ahead, if Trey is ready to leave after his Soph. yr (strong IF), Carlton will be the junior PG battling a freshman Derrick Walton for the starting spot.
well i wish that the Bama game was another season away, then we would really have the time to develop the 1st two Koke classes.....but then again Denard would be gone so its a win/lose.
as his recruitment was coming to an end last year, he made a series of videos pretending to commit to all of the schools that he was considering, only to immediately decommit in the next one. I thought it was pretty childish and attention seeking, but at the same time I still wanted to see him in a maize & blue uni.
still can't blame it on his elbow (which might have been like that since Minn.). Denard just played BAD today. I think he is trying so much to make sure that every throw is perfect, that it's making Tacopants go for 100+ yds.
Yea, i feel you. This game is going to be bittersweet for me. On one hand, this is my 1st michigan game and I'm very excited. On the other, my parents waited too long to buy the tickets from northwestern's ticket office ($50) and ended up paying $99 cause stubhub had the lowest prices.
I think we've all come to the realization that AT THIS POINT IN THE SEASON, denard can't throw the ball well. He's hitting up Tacopants on throws out of pro-style and spread sets. He has to relax in the pocket & hit receivers in stride when he gets good protection.
Great great insight! Most people see us as an underdog in the "mcgary race" but this is a good sign. Let's hope every visit doesn't sweep him off his feet like this one and he doesn't decide off of the last good emotion he feels, which gets a lot of recruits.
LETS GOO!!! this is great to hear....a commitment from a WR like payton would fill out our class (save the elite prospects), and give full attention to fall camp and the future classes. It seems that recruits are really feeling hoke's down-to-earth, prideful nature. I love it
hopefully we can snag o'brien too...thats priority #1 I think. After that, I think we don''t need the other DT prospects even if their elite, we should try to get one reciever in this class even with stonum's redshirt and maybe an elite RB
great to hear...his shot is not close to developed enough for the NBA, but if he can get that down, we'll be talking possible big ten player of the year next season
Pressing fans like that are definitely what push kids away. He'd be a great addition to the class and would again fill another hole of need in this class
I know its good to count Carter, but does he really seem like a playmaker at the next level?? Maybe if he's better than his highlight tape shows because the QBs that we're throwing his way were awful. It would have been nice to see him at a camp or combine
Remember last year the class was good but not great, then RR wrapped up real nice with Dorsey (even though he didn't show) and others. It helped save the class, so give hoke a chance, he's doing pretty well for coming in so shorthanded.
Good to see hoke covering all the bases just in case things don't work out with Countess, Raven, McClure, Kitchen, Hollowell, Brown. That's a lot of DBs lol
depending on mattison/position coaches development skills, we could be close to seeing those hard-hitting days. Cam Gordon is def. the best candidate frm what we saw this year.
I think kicking just comes from recruiting a guy who is pretty proven at a high level (big games, camps, etc.)
hard to follow player's twitter accounts because they always waver, per his twitter after the Hoke visit, "Those who stay will be champions" so who knows hopefully he's still blue

also, why 'Sugar' Shane Morris isn't a 5 star & the #3 QB should've been the first question!

UM is now up to #7 on ESPN, up to #6 on Rivals, and still #4 on Scout.

yes, thank you aquaman is all we can say. Who said aquaman didn't have any power?!?
this is pretty great, but no RVB?!?!?
I dont care how much it's worth, I STILL WANNA WIN IT!!!
I'm 16, so i cracked my wall, then i went for a walk
yea i think so
Not good....by any stretch. We really need a WR in this class
any post-game video??
yea that looks bad, but I think it's gonna get really sweet in the nxt couple yrs.

ayeee good looking out...... everybody catch da CFL at 2:30
Don't forget booby gibson. he can be played at the 1 or 2 because of his height and shooting ability.
good to see this staff offering early and gunning hard after top recruits because UM needs to get back to recieving the nation's top talent
great to hear...his shot is not close to developed enough for the NBA, but if he can get that down, we'll be talking possible big ten player of the year next season
What a offer list for Flowers, seems like a easy legitimate 4*, Hoke needs to push hard to round him up
Yeaaaaa....J Hayes said he was gonna help reel in some recruits. Keep it coming!!!!!
serves him damn right!!! "Once you go red, you're career's dead" (cheesy lol)

Mattison will at least get these 4* 5* recruits on campus, and you know what they say, "during a visit to the UM campus, anything can happen"
