You want to give Harbaugh…

You want to give Harbaugh more autonomy? The guy who hired Shemmy, the guy who hired Connor Stallions? The on-field results have been amazing, and we should do everything we can to keep him in that position, but giving him more responsibility seems like a recipe for disaster.

It’s a different stadium, but it took us over 2 hours to get an Uber after the Orange Bowl loss to Georgia in 2021.

I have no problem with your plan, but did you just say that MGoBlog is less biased? This is a team specific site, it's going to be incredibly biased. Seth / Brian / Alex / BryMac  are all great, but they're certainly biased.

Love this write up Alex. Was shocked to hear the Split Zone Duo crew suggest PSU's room is better than Michigan's on their B1G preview this week. They're certainly good, but I don't think they're Michigan good this year.

Ah, I can't believe no one…

Ah, I can't believe no one else has commented on the Hamilton reference in the write up yet. The man is nonstop, he's got LBs helpless!

Huge recommendation for…

Huge recommendation for Berlin for the weekend, especially since you mentioned WWII History. You get all of the post war and pre-unification sites to hit while you're there, including Checkpoint Charlie, the remnants of the war, and Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, etc. I'd recommend a bike tour vs. a walking tour, since you can cover much more ground. Fat Tire tours there are great. Berlin has a strong multicultural scene as well, including some of the best kebabs you'll ever have in your life. Been there three times and loved each trip.

I'm sorry, did we watch the…

I'm sorry, did we watch the same Frankie Collins as a freshman? The one who was 43% from the floor and 17% from three? Who had an almost 1:1 assist to turnover ratio? You wanted more than 11 minutes per game out of him?

What about SUNY Albany? They…

What about SUNY Albany? They’ve already beaten Penn St in basketball.

This feels like you didn't watch a Michigan game before 2018

It's not the most embarrassing play in Michigan history and damn you for making me mentally relive the several plays that immediately came to mind based on your comment.

I feel like I understood most of the other stuff, but was very lost on 1251

There's a very easy way to…

There's a very easy way to fix this, and that's by giving the athletes 4 year contracts and paying them. The NCAA is obviously going to fight tooth and nail to have that happen, but that's the only feasible way I see out of this.

I’d encourage you to watch…

I’d encourage you to watch that play again, because you are very much misremembering where burrow threw that and how close the RB was

technically true, but the money is coming from boosters who, instead of donating directly to the schools, are now paying the players directly. The NCAA screwed up and I hope the kids take all the money they can get.

What's out of control about…

What's out of control about people getting paid what the market will dictate for their skills? The numbers are getting high, but plenty of people are paid way for doing less

Was the line about Will Johnson having a breakout game soon meant to be cheeky or did you have that written before Purdue and are omnipotent?

I heard it was when people started buying Michigan jerseys in Ohio. Maybe I'm wrong though

Wonder how many Albany fans were at the game. Had we still been in Ann Arbor, would have been there supporting the Danes, likely with a Michigan shirt on underneath

agree with Bando, this is a terrible take. No one should be meant to feel unsafe visiting a sporting event because they're supporting a different team.

This is exactly where I am too. From NYC, I'd lean more "have a catch" vs "play catch", but don't have a strong feeling either way. I'm in the midwest now, and have told my sons they're out of the will if they start saying "pop" or "tennis shoes" vs. "soda" and "sneakers".

...no. He already got credit for 2 points on those shots he hit, so he'd only get 1 additional point if there was a three-point line he was shooting behind. So for 13 more ppg, he'd need 13 of his field goals to be shifted from 2 points to 3 pointers

Agree on FTs, but they had 10 turnovers in a high possession game. Beilein’s teams that were close to best in the country averaged a little over 9.
