I think UM talking to him after the game is sitting in a room with his agent and signing the contract. Then the talking is all about travel plans for JH and his family on Hackett's chartered private jet to AA. Hackett has probably already met with 49ers to execute whatever buyout paperwork is necessary.
Hard to see how a strength and conditioning intern with the Redskins would have inside info. Probably just hoping to make an impression by being proactive and hoping he got it right before any official announcement. But I think the guy was offered by Harbaugh at Stanford so could it be more?
Jim Harbaugh is all about character. No way he would allow this amount of positive perception to build only to pull the plug at the last minute. His coming home is way more than just a "business" decision!

@Johnubacon: I just got off the phone with more sources tonight. It's done. Jim Harbaugh is coming to Michigan - and his friends are flying in Monday.
And then he and family will board the private jet along with Hackett and rest of U of M entourage to head to AA on Monday!
Hackett probably also meeting or met already with 49ers to close the "buy-out "deal, whatever it may be.
