the blue balls didn't already scare them off
|1 day 14 hours ago||he's hedging||
like any smart new coach should. if he came out and said everyone is performing above expectations only to lay an egg against ND, the world would call him out for being incompetent. by hedging, he buys himself time no matter the early outcomes.

hope and change.

you see no difference? i would gladly take 9-3 this year with losses to Utah, PSU and NW.

is a bit thinner and quicker than doyle.
|2 days 19 hours ago||agree||
with all of this. i will add that i'm not sold yet on the centers after watching some of their competition. they will struggle against good-sized centers and i expect a lot of foul trouble. but i expect improvement throughout the year.

all those are bad. but 3 rivers seemed slightly worse to me...for baseball. though i did see a washed up bob walk throw a one-hit shutout.
|3 days 15 hours ago||me for one||
i'm more of a baseball purest, so i can find positives out of the worst teams/games. you never know what can happen. you might see the greatest catch ever, even in a horrible game.
case and point - about 12 years ago, i went to yankee stadium to watch the yanks/phils. the phillies were killing the yankees. it was like 8-1 going into the ninth. probably only a few thousand fans left; including me and my friend. the yankees came back and won. they said it was the biggest comeback since the mickey mantle days.
i was so happy that most of those arrogant yankee fans missed it.
btw - those old yankee hot dogs using a slice of wonder bread were awful.
|3 days 15 hours ago||really???||
for an indoor stadium, thought they did a pretty good job. houston too. toronto on the other hand, is terrible.
the tailgaiting at miller is the way to go.
|3 days 16 hours ago||disagree||
i went to see the cubs-braves last year in between final four days. i thought the stadium was fine. beyond the outfield is a huge area with food and beer vendors and such. they had a band playing out there too. pretty fun before the game.
the best part was when samardjia came to bat, the PA guy played the victors. i was probably one of the few people who got the joke.

you haven't been in a couple years then. those supercheap stubhub days are over. sales are cut off 6 hours before game and cubs have set a floor; i'm guessing about 50% of face.

wrigley bleachers >>>>> fenway bleachers. also, if you sit in the box seats, wrigley is as good or better than any other venue; really close to the field.
that said, wrigley has to be near the bottom in amenities.
|3 days 16 hours ago||hmmm||
left field bleachers at fenway? i assume you mean right field.
|5 days 4 hours ago||well||
it was a frigid game. and but for that INT in the first half, UM was pretty much dominated; lucky to even be in the game.
|5 days 4 hours ago||correct||
i was there and remember both guys getting hurt. also remember gedeon getting destroyed early and often.
|5 days 6 hours ago||hey||
I am a coach...but for hs baseball.

I havent seen him play at all but how well does he drive then kick out for open 3s. That would be huge, imo.

Is on Diversey. Rocket Bar is near wrigley and the red line.

is the DB who went directly from serving time in jail to starting in a game against iowa within a matter of days.

mattison will release the hounds and it will be glorious.

that's him lying on the field after the injury

this will be the 3rd year in a row of me thinking that the O-line can't get any worse. well, we lost our 2 best of last year's unit. so i think it can get worse. hopefully, they can it least pass block a little bit.
also, our DL was pretty mediocre last year; no pressure on QBs. i doubt they have improved that much. i trust they will be better. i do, however, have a lot of confidence in our back 7 and expect better things there.

they stopped the video right before the big hot tub party.

i think the combo of chatman and wilson will be more productive than GRIII by the time the BIG season rolls around.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||are you sure?||
do you believe there was no chance that york and jones were waiting for those guys to exit? if at or near 2am, i would bet on it.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||baited york?||
he had his hands in his pockets. if i'm looking for a fight, i certainly don't keep my fists in my pockets. york looks pre-determined to sucker punch that guy. he directs guy#1 to pass by. then york's buddy starts talking to guy#2 (the punchee). york's buddy gives him a signal/look then steps away for york to sucker punch.
i hope he does some time for that, even if only 30 days.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||the punchee||
actually looks like he was likely drunk, he looks like he can't walk a straight line. york sucker-punched a drunk guy knowing he likely couldn't fight back. coward.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||wow||
i really hope a lot of you do this to make a point. then, maybe just go to some of the games via stubhub.
