especially since JH is about 10 years younger than DB.

TP costs less than $1 per roll unless you are using silk. so if you are using a roll every 3 days, you should probably see a doctor or eat shredded wheat every breakfast.

1. it was osu's president that said he was worried about tressel firing him. that's what a joke that school is.
2. it is obvious that brandon wants top billing at all costs. i've never seen an AD look for more media exposure than him. he was there cutting down the nets for the final four a few years ago. what a joke.
3. he watches football game fiilm with the coaches. again what a joke.
what coach worth his salt would want to deal with any of that BS.
|9 hours 41 min ago||i doubt it||
older and stronger teams will outmuscle us in the paint with a bunch of skinny frosh playing there. that said, i see this team struggling a bit early but becoming a scary team come march.
|9 hours 51 min ago||chatman||
disagree on him. if he can improve the range on his shot at all, he will should have an overall game not unlike jalen rose (both left handed too). jalen lasted quite a while in the nba.

you must be kidding right? you are most concerned about replacing a back up point guard? not sure what to say about that.
spike is a much more servicable player than i had anticipated but i have very little concern about replacing 10-15 of his playing minutes. the incoming class can easily take over those minutes...plus we have a guy named walton on the team.
|9 hours 57 min ago||GRIII||
his rebounding was the most disappointing part of his game, imo. i believe he barely averaged 3 rebounds per game. that's a joke for a power forward getting 30 min per game. you should luck into that many.
rebounding is mostly hustle and desire. GRIII seemed to lack that. hopefully, his replacements will have more.

i would gladly wait until january and trade most of the 2015 recruiting class for a harbaugh in a second. good coaches can coach-up mediocre talent. we currently have a staff that can barely coach-up anything; nothing resembling their potential anyways.
so yes, i would take a full class of 2015 3* guys to land either harbargh. remember, that class would be surrounded by plenty of 4* and 5* guys from other classes.

passed to me thru the grapevine of someone formerly involved in UMs athletic dept, jim indicated that he wanted to return and coach UM. unfortunately, there was no timeframe given to the info i was provided. it could have been for 10 years from now as far as i know.

doesn't he still have an office at schembechler hall? if so, not really distancing himself from involvement.
|22 hours 12 min ago||well||
that's why you write it in pencil.

i'm tired of this overrated defense too. but for a different reason than you obviously.
that said, they did finally play to their potential against psu. let's hope they can live up to the hype against msu.

was also credited with 10 rushes for minus 12 yards. so he had a combined minus 1 yard on 25 touches. i don't think i have ever seen a QB have negative yardage after that many touches.

how does hoke, the head coach, even know who missed the block, ran a poor route or missed the wrong read, because he likely doesn't even know what the fucking play is until after it is run. but he will find out on sunday during film session.
i'm fine with delegating responsibilities, but i think it's insane for a head coach not to wear a headset and provide and receive input at the ready.
|2 days 23 hours ago||balance||
that is the key. any good coach (manager of people) must utilize the carrot and stick approach. using just carrots gets you fat lazy mules.
|2 days 23 hours ago||clapping - the clapper||
hoke is just trying to turn out the lights, cuz the party is over.
|2 days 23 hours ago||headset||
wearing a headset can only get one more information. so why not wear it? you would think hoke would want to know what play is being called before it actually occurs so he can better analyze the play as it is being run.
plus, he could chime in with his coordinators every now and then, you know, like a good coach would.

but morally bankrupt. no thanks.

i hate ND. but they beat fsu. total bullshit!!

The back 7 has been a huge disappointment. I reaaly thought they would make a huge leap this year. That said the D Line has player better than I expected. Its weird that the DLine has been coached up by Hoke this year.

it seems pretty obvious to me. he has been in hiding for weeks now which is highly unusual for him. i'm guessing that the "buyout" with him has already been settled. and once a new AD is selected, i would bet brandon is there at the announcement with schlissel welcoming the transition, allowing him to leave gracefully.

That ticket prices were raised because UM doesnt advertise or have sponsors. Im waiting for the ticket price reduction now. Kraft, coke, chobani. What else?

does he have a boo boo? i wish they would start him at RT over braden. i think that OL would have a more promising future. or do the unthinkable and play him over williams at TE.

i prefer the coordinators upstairs so they can see the whole field. nuss could still communicate with QBs using a headset; like most teams.
considering the volume of players that mattison uses during games, i can see him being on the sidelines, though, so he can coach them up while the offense is on the field.
either way, not that big of a deal to me. i would like to think they know the way in which they are the most effective.

circle of trust. nuff said.
|1 week 6 days ago||i disagree||
given brandon's personality, i can't see him waiting to get fired. i'm hopeful that the buyout is being negotiated or soon will be. then brandon resigns. fingers crossed.

"I gather that Schlissel views the whole big time athletics thing as rather seedy and would like to see it diminished."
seems presumptive of you. If this is true, why would he accept a position at a university that has a top 5 athletic department budget in the country?
based on what i've heard thus far from him, he may actually "get it" here. i think he is smart enough to understand the important role athletics play in the reputation of the university of michigan.

jack harbaugh. if monte kiffin can do it, so can jack.

in the late 80s or early 90s UM lowered the field a bit; 4-6 feet. this was done to give fans in the first few rows a good view of the field; especially along the sidelines. imagine that, the admin caring about the game-day experience of the fans. how times have changed.
