we had a similar situation with tommy amaker. he beat UM with a harvard team. now look a few years later.
|19 hours 4 min ago||ya||
they ran carr a number of times to no effect. i remember a lost fumble at the goal line too; purdue maybe in the ice bowl.
|20 hours 26 min ago||free money?||
seriously? who doesn't want a free BMW convertible? you know, it's just sitting there on the street waiting to be taken.
he's a thief. period. end of story.

"This shows me that Utah is not the offensive powerhouse people are deriving from the last two games. Rather, we match up quite evenly."
Even? That's the problem. It's Utah fergodsakes.

can't we move him to RT and get braden out of there?

the old 3rd and 11 play action pass
|4 days 13 hours ago||hmmm||
"When you can rotate 3 guys in and there is no serious perceptable difference."
Unfortunately, that seems to be the problem at a number of positions but in a bad way.

i agree with you. that said, i think smith shows a lot more promise to me than green. he at least seems to run harder. so i would like to see him get the 20-25 carries.
|5 days 16 hours ago||very true||
coming into this season i thought UM would have an outstanding back 7 and i was concerned about the DL. well, after game 1, the LBs sucked. After game 2 the DBs sucked. the DL has actually been ok.
i have no idea what to think of this D now. it's clearly not nearly as good as i hoped it would be.

imo, he regressed under this coaching staff.

don't underestimate the nfl.

|1 week 10 hours ago||absurd||
totally absurd. then why penalize any school when the accused are gone or graduated. simply dumb.
|1 week 10 hours ago||ignorance is bliss||
that's how it works. arthur anderson went down because of its office in texas (enron). it brought down the #1 accounting firm in the nation with hundreds of offices nationwide. yes, inocents within the organization can get hurt, but it's that deterant which is much more beneficial to society than the alternative of no punishment.
|1 week 10 hours ago||Sure||
the ncaa can level sanctions on a school for providing cash benefits to players or cheating on exams but is totally exempted from schools hiding coaches molesting children or other serious crimes by coaches. that's a complete joke.
|1 week 10 hours ago||yes||
free transfer option is the obvious answer. but the ncaa is crap.
|1 week 10 hours ago||ya||
and the UM basketball program shouldn't have been punished. because you know, that involved players 5+ years in the past, right?
|1 week 10 hours ago||true||
but i think 4 years of sanctions should be the bare minimum to move on.
|1 week 10 hours ago||what?||
paterno let this go on for 20 years!!!! he obviously didn't care about kids he "didn't know".
|1 week 10 hours ago||you are bullshit!||
if i have an employee accused of molesting children, sure i report it. but i also sure as hell talk to that dude about it and follow up on all investigations about it. i sure as hell wouldn't have an accused child molestor working for me until he was cleared, let alone having children go on out of town trips with an accused child molestor, and having him run a childrens organization
paterno can rot in hell as far as i'm concerned.
|1 week 10 hours ago||wow||
you are ignorant beyond belief.
|1 week 10 hours ago||fuck||
|1 week 11 hours ago||well||
i go back 3 decades as a season ticket holder. ya, that 97 team was great. but i still wonder the tragectory of this program if not for the moeller incedent. i'm guessing much better.
that said, the coaching this past decade is a joke. no two ways about it.
|1 week 19 hours ago||utah||
becomes a serious threat now, imo.
|1 week 1 day ago||green||
reminds me of anthony thomas early in his career; just kind of plows into the line and looks for a soft place to land. hopefully, he improves a lot like thomas did.
smith seems to run harder with a purpose. i hope he gets the bulk of the carries going forward.
|1 week 1 day ago||wait||
what evidence is there that this team is "resilient and knows what it takes to win"?
|1 week 1 day ago||ouch||
i actually turned the game off at halftime. i couldn't take it anymore. the offense actually looked ok in the first but didn't score; seemed to protect gardner pretty well. it sounds like the O only got worse in the 2H.
|1 week 1 day ago||first FG attempt was dumb||
hoke goes for it on 4th and one at the ND 40 but then tries to attempt a 48 yard FG on 4th and one at the ND 31. very dumb, imo, especially in a hostile environment with a somewhat unproven kicker.
that sapped a lot of steam out of the team. you could see it on the faces on the sidelines; despite hoke's clapping.
