there are multiple venues which have multiple bowl games each season. |
| 4 days 2 hours ago | i used to ref IM games at UM |
freshmen games were the worst. do you let them play and hack each other to death? or call it close, where eventually, every player fouls out? |
| 1 week 4 days ago | my two cents |
If you have 5* or high 4*, you take that commit regardless of needs or position. Because they must be great athletes, they may be able to play another position anyway. How often do you see position switches ? A lot. Oline and Dline are prime examples. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | iowa |
i have a few iowa friends and i told them at the beginning of the year that they would just miss the big dance; similar to northwestern the past few years. that said, i thought minny would be a sleeper and picked them to finish 3rd in the BIG. so i'm not always right. thanks tubby. |
| 3 weeks 2 days ago | c'mon |
"Without the students, there are no football players" have you watched ohio state?? |
| 3 weeks 2 days ago | The 25% no show and 50% late sentence is poorly written. |
it could simply mean that 25% of the students missed at least one game; not necessarily 25% missing each game. similarly, 50% could be late to at least one game. i really doubt 50% were late every game. i attended all but one game this past year. it was common for a few rows near the top in the corner to be unfilled, but i don't think that represents 25% of the student seats. |
| 3 weeks 2 days ago | well |
wrigley field bleachers are general admission. you get funneled into either LF or RF. i don't see any chaos in finding seats. the people who want the best seats show up a couple hours early. the chaos usually starts around the 5th inning, once the beers kick in. |
| 4 weeks 6 days ago | hand checking |
my rule change would be to disallow any handchecking outside of the 3 pt circle. I don't mind allowing big guys to lean on each other in the paint. contact there should be allowed. but allowing defensive players to drive their forearms into the ribcage of the point guard 40 feet from the basket has got to change. defenders can literally push point guards away from the center of the court w/o penalty. i also like the 30 sec shot clock rule, if it is coupled with a rule i noted above. it would reward good defense w/o all the BS mugging. |

the greek pizza after a bball game with frieder and the gang. as far as defunct places...steve's lunch was unique and good. bee bim bop. |
| 5 weeks 1 day ago | i thought the same thing here in chicago |
no coneys until one opened on the northside (Leo's). same family ownership as detroit area. it failed after less than two years. i couldn't believe it with the large mich population here. they had a liquor license though, which probably ate into their margin. i doubt many ordered beer/drinks while at Leo's. i loved it though. very quick service and reasonably priced. hope another opens up soon. |
| 5 weeks 2 days ago | not usually |
we typically get the opportunity to buy tix (home and away) to the less sought after games. |
| 5 weeks 3 days ago | if memory serves |
ryan injured his knee his senior year of high school. so a redshirt was likely anyway. |
| 5 weeks 3 days ago | i say good luck ncaa |
in proving whether or not a kid is ready after acl surgery. some come back after 8 months. some never make it back. |
| 5 weeks 3 days ago | well |
i think there could be a debate. it depends on how the season is going. if the season is going ok and jake is at or near 100% by the sparty game on nov 2, i would play him. otherwise, it makes more sense to redshirt him. |
| 6 weeks 1 day ago | no way |
Its one thing ro sit him a few minutes but to sit the best player in the country for 12 min in the 1H is just plain dumb. JB will regret that decision the rest of his career. I can't imagine kobe or jordan sitting for such a stretch under any circumstances. |
| 6 weeks 5 days ago | GRIII > THJ |
really? GRIII could have bigger upside but THJ has proven to be much more valuable this year. I would expect his 2013-14 scoring to improve significantly next year if he stays. He's a legit #1 scoring option. I'm not so sure about GRIII. the good news is that our incoming freshmen could easily start right away if needed. |
| 6 weeks 5 days ago | beat me to the punch |
the lions next kicker will be their 3rd since 1980. how crazy is that. something like this will never happen again. |
| 6 weeks 6 days ago | So |
uh, coke came in to face morneau and doumit to end the game monday after benoit pitched to willingham (a righty). yes, coke had a very good 10 IP in the post season last year. but i place much more emphasis on the 200+ IP he's had in relief over his career. leyland actually played the matchups correctly on monday. he failed today. |
| 6 weeks 6 days ago | what's that sample size? 8-10 ABs? |
righties hit almost .400 off coke last year and well over .300 the year before. he's had decent success against lefties the past two years .260ish and .210ish. meanwhile lefties hit marginally better of benoit than righties the past two years combined. and righties have his under .200 off dotel the past two years. bullpen by committee means making the right decisions concerning matchups. |
| 6 weeks 6 days ago | oh leyland |
you managed the bullpen assbackwards. he had benoit face lefties like mauer and morneau (luckily no damage) in the eighth. Then he has coke face two righties in the ninth and loses. coke should have pitched the eighth and benoit or dotel the ninth. this one is on leyland. |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | hmmm |
did yost and schembechler graduate from UM? they have buildings and stadiums named after them. yet, great players can't be memorialized w/o a degree? seems a silly argument to me. |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | oops |
can't forget about that guy in '89 |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | let's see |
- BIG frosh of the year - BIG player of the year - First team all american - BIG ten champion - Likely Div 1 player of the year - Led team to final four and possible ncaa title That's enough for me. Outside of Cazzie and maybe Rudy T, who comes close? Raise it to the roof after his nba career is coming to a close. |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | i somewhat agree |
bill carmody is available. minny could do a lot worse. imagine carmody's team with some nba talent on it. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | wow |
spiked again!!! |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | trey! |
two guys on him yet he still sees GRIII for the a alley oop! |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | hardaway |
still chucking up garbage. ridiculous. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | hardaway! |
quit shooting the fucking ball!!!...unless its a layup. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | mcgary! |
then spike!!!! |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | morgan |
why do have to fumble every damn pass now! |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | well |
make it 5 now. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | burke |
3 crappy possessions in a row. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | hahahahahah |
oh hohohoh. hehehehehehe. make em pay stauskus. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | hey billy D |
you better have someone guard that little white guy in the corner! just a thought. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | hardaway |
at least play some D |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | and |
yet another miss. 0-5 now. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | mmmm |
if i did my math right, the big east is 10-6 right now in the tourny and the BIG is 12-6. |
| 7 weeks 3 days ago | costello |
every time i see him on the court for sparty getting manhandled i'm so glad JB lost out on him, cuz we likely wouldn't have landed the big puppy. |
| 7 weeks 4 days ago | Noooo!!!!! |
Hardaway is wide open! Nevermind. Awesome Tre. |
| 7 weeks 5 days ago | you missed his point |
the guys you mention are great closers and saved tons of games. but how many games were lost in the 7th and 8th innings for those teams? when mgrs bring in their #2 or #3 relief pitcher in a jam in the 7th or 8th only to blow the game. meanwhile, the hoffmans, riveras, kimbrels sit their idle in the bull pen. the theory is that it's better to bring in your ace in a jam in the 7th or 8th and let the #2 or #3 guy close out the game with a 2 or 3 run lead and no one on base. leyland, kind of unwittingly fell into this in 2006 when he used his most dominant guy (zumaya) to pitch out of jams and jones collected the easy saves. |
| 7 weeks 5 days ago | yes yes yes |
i've been saying this for years but no one does this. and agents wouldn't allow it either; wanting their guy to rack up saves. |
| 8 weeks 4 days ago | horford |
has the best low post skill for our current bigs. but still not very good. if he develops that little jump hook on a consistent basis, his playing time could increase dramatically. |
| 8 weeks 5 days ago | ya |
I'm in tampa. I know what you mean. |
| 8 weeks 5 days ago | burke |
Better be a leader in the 2nd half. |
| 8 weeks 5 days ago | burke |
Better be a leader in the 2nd half. |
| 8 weeks 6 days ago | I do |
In the bobby bowden sense. Dont ask don't tell. He facilitated the environment. |
| 8 weeks 6 days ago | rose got $ too |
Bruce webber told his family to f off when they asked to match coach cal's offer so off to memohis he went. |
| 8 weeks 6 days ago | lost their legs? |
I'm getting tired of this excuse. Hell I could run a lot more at 19 than 25. They just ran into the quagmire called big 10 hoops, especially on the road. |
| 8 weeks 6 days ago | uh |
That's called youth. |
| 9 weeks 1 day ago | horrible |
i can't believe a team this talented finished 10th in the nation. /s |
| 9 weeks 2 days ago | yes |
first time ever 5 teams in the same conf make the final 4. |
| 9 weeks 2 days ago | vcu press |
we had trouble for a few minutes against the psu press. other than that, we've had no trouble all year long. we have 4 starters that can handle the ball the ball a bit. plus they will have size and athleticism advantage. that is key to breaking the press and getting easy dunks. |
| 9 weeks 2 days ago | run and gun |
it appears a lot of the uptempo teams are in the south; kansas, ucla, unc, fla. well, UM will get their chance to prove they are an uptempo team. |
| 9 weeks 4 days ago | let's see |
big ten wins the past two years: 26 - msu and osu 25 - UM, IU 24 - wisky 18- purdue so we finally get to the top of the BIG and are a tip in from consecutive BIG titles and people question the coach's ability and/or direction of the program. and if IU loses its 4 key players, UM will likely be the favorites to win the BIG next year along with msu. |
| 9 weeks 4 days ago | JB vs Izzo |
compairing beilein to izzo. folks, look at msu's roster. they have at least one top 50 player in each class right now, except nix was in the 60s, per rivals. UM has two top 50 players on its roster - GRIII and mcgary; both freshmen. UM's highest senior is vogrich 130s. DMo was 70s but gone. Juniors - Smotrycz 50s gone. Hardaway/Horford were 3* Sophs - Burke 140s. Bundridge low 100s is gone. If Smot stays, we probably win a couple of those close losses this year. A #4 that can hit the 3 and plays better D than GRIII. We just don't have talented experienced players. Our talent is all young. Now think back to MSU. Remember how good nix, appling and payne were as freshmen? not very. is izzo a bad coach? he had some experienced talent ahead of these guys, like lucas, row and green, etc. he didn't have to throw them into the fire. he had a pipeline of talent. how good was deshaun thomas as a frosh? or any # of osu players not named sullinger? now, if you want to blame beilein for smot and DMo not being here, go ahead. but he is finally building a pipeline of talent. a great frosh class and 2013 will also be very good. 2014 is also likely to be good. you want question beilein's ability because his frosh aren't tearing it up, because hey there is kentucky. is it frustrating the team doesn't play better D. yes, but that is expected out of freshmen. i remember douglas and novak saying that it takes a year for beilein's D schemes to sink in. this team is now ready to compete for BIG and NCAA titles for the next several years and many of you are thinking of replacing JB. what a joke. |
| 9 weeks 6 days ago | yep |
for being such an athletic kid, GRIII gets caught flat-footed on rebounds possibly more than anyone i've ever seen. he just seems to be in a daze so much of the time. and he actually busted his ass in the first half but the second half back to being lethargic. |
| 9 weeks 6 days ago | no way |
i guarantee beilein spends way more time on D in practice than O, especially given all the frosh. you can always manufacture points with a simple offense and a guy like burke. but it takes 5 players in sync to play solid D. and i've heard former beilein players say that it takes a year for all of the D instructions to take hold. |
| 9 weeks 6 days ago | garcia |
Likely platoons with dirks unless they have a last minute acquisition. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | sadly |
i think it's gone. i doubt the a 4th place team in the BIG gets player of the year. too bad that one play cost big ten poy, national poy and big ten title. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | well |
if GRIII goes up strong with both hands, the hack on the shoulder wouldn't have jarred the ball loose. he was going to a one-handed jam. that's a huge problem with this team, nobody takes it up strong. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | BIG tourny |
need to win it now to get a 2 seed. if not, we lose any hope of getting preferencial regional placement in the big dance. this loss really hurts. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | nope |
even just to provide token pressure if they get the rebound. make them burn some clock getting the ball up the court. it's one of a few things i disagree with JB about. he never presses at the end of the game with the lead to burn clock. and his dumb 2 foul first half rule. mclimans one minute of action cost us. and guess what, neither morgan nor mcgary or horford fouled out. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | ole defense |
in the final minute along with choke jobs at the line = epic collapse. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | choke |
job on the line. un fucking believable. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | hit |
your fucking free throws |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | JB |
please press them |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | foul |
and fresh clock |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | flagrant!!! |
fuck you ref!!!! |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | attack the glass |
on both ends. thj and GRIII haven't driven the lane in quite some time. get back to that and good things will happen. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | mcgary |
take it to the hole and slam the damn thing. why turn into a midget when you have the ball? |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | zeller |
fuck you! that is all. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | thj really? |
a turnaround fadeaway 3. the game is gonna turn for the worse quickly with shot selection like that. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | statues |
standing there under the basket. get the fucking rebound. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | thank |
you! |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | burke |
do something out there please |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | zoeller = griffin |
as far as the refs go. reminds me of the 2nd round ncaa game against oklahoma. |
| 10 weeks 2 days ago | you nailed it |
the key to this game, imo, is whether or not stauskus and GRIII decide to show up and play some defense. they both were severely owned by hulls and watford last game. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | that's the joke |
most 3s are uncontested, otherwise they wouldn't be taken. 2-32 is just pure bad shooting. or lucky for msu. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | 2-20 on 3s |
makes UM's 0-12 not so bad. sparty must sure defend that 3 well. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | hustle play? |
he got an offensive rebound while laying on the ground. that's how bad wisconsin is tonite. i will give him credit for calling the TO though. i wish our guys would do that more often when in trouble. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | wow |
do those guys really have full ride scholarships to play basketball? |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | jump shooting team? |
those are set shots. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | agree |
msu to lose. why care about the seeding in the BIG as long as we get a top 4 and receive a bye. i couldn't care less who we play. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | wow |
i've already seen at least 4 3pt shots hit the backboard first in this game. do these guys practice shooting at all anymore? |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | msu |
scoring less than a point a minute...fielding yost laughs. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | fyi |
10-6 msu. 12 min left in 1H. |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | wiscy |
how did we lose to them. their offense is so pathetic. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | another |
pussy attempt on an easy layup |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | really pathetic |
taking no good shots anymore. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | wow |
keady finally ran out of the black shoe polish for his hair. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | ok |
that's at least 4 missed bunnies already. wtf. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | mcgary |
is one of the best big guys i've seen at helping up top. he gets more steals at/near the 3 pt line for a big guy that i know. his low post D and rebounding needs significant work though. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | kind of like a charge |
you must be set. mcgary was definitely leaning into the defender as the guy was trying to get around him. mcgary is not good a setting screens. he consistently doesn't get out far enough so he often slides into the defender or sets a useless unusable screen. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | yes |
mcgary, you are not good at setting picks. sit please. bring morgan back in. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | good lord |
these 3 attempts aren't even close - brick city. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | mcgary |
still leaving his man on D way too early on the help. |
| 11 weeks 4 days ago | also GRIII |
play 2 bigs more often. GRIII's outside shot is gone anyway, so you lose that advantage of spreading the floor. you may as well go with two bigs so you can crash the boards better on both ends. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | GRIII |
played 40 min last nite. perhaps even 4-5 min of bielfeldt each half could have made GRIII better or fresher during the minutes he played, if it was a fatigue issue. but he obviously "wasn't getting after it". |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | it's about effort |
or perceived lack thereof. did you watch the way THJ and Levert shadowed Paul all during the illini game? that takes huge effort to clamp that guy down. then there's the msu game when the team quit. it's one thing to lose, and even lose badly, but don't quit, especially against msu. then there is both psu games. their less-talented bigs out worked our bigs in both games. that is unacceptable. it comes down to hustle and desire. we all know it's there. we saw it against bigger teams like kansas state and pittsburgh. i think the frustration is now showing on beilein, because he knows it's there too, but for some reason it's gone now. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | upperclassmen |
we don't have many upperclassmen because cronin had a career ending injury, douglas and novak had to play as true freshmen, smotrycz transferred and DMo left early. that leaves hardaway, morgan, mclimans and vogrich. vogrich is another story, i really thought he would become a better version of stu douglas. not so much. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | exceeded expectations? |
before february, hell yes. since then, not so much. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | exactly |
how often do GRIII and stauskus take a charge? hardaway, morgan and mcgary do. even levert tries to take more charges and he hardly plays. i give burke a bit of a pass on D, since he has to shoulder so much of the load on offense. that said, he turns it up a notch every now and then and generally makes a few good plays on D each game. if the idea is that GRIII and stauskus are wearing down, especially late in games, then i say bench them more. especially GRIII. why does he play the most minutes? imo, he's the least effective starter we have. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | no |
i'm talking about being outhustled by opponents during games, especially on D. the effort has not been there recently for whatever reason. it's been obvious the past several games (illinois excluded). they may work their butts off in practice, but those aren't televised; hence my comment about not knowing how hard they work off the court. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | "giving it their all" |
that's the big question. i can't speak for off the court, but the past several games, especially on D, makes me question that remark. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | i somewhat agree here |
he could also play at a quality DIII school. they don't have to follow this rule. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | hmm |
isn't evan eschmeyer still playing for northwestern...or maybe he's just injured now too. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | no |
alabama's kevin gradys find a way to get "hurt", get a medical schollie and then get replaced. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | losses are one thing |
they happen. bad shooting nights happen. but to see losses pile up due to lack of hustle or intensity is disappointing. those qualities should show up in every game, if the team has character. |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | 40 min |
of GRIII killed us on both ends of the court. i really don't understand why we don't have 2 bigs playing at least 10 min together. it would clog the paint on D and obviously improve the rebounding. JB really needs to figure out a high-low post combo that works on the offensive end. Defense wins championships. |
| 11 weeks 6 days ago | no |
GRlll getting owned by marshall on both ends is the consistent problem. I will never understand why he plays near 40 min, especially against psu. |
| 12 weeks 2 days ago | oooooooooooooklahoma |
every nite my honey lamb and i sit around and talk and watch a hawk makin lazy circles in the skyyyyyy... |
| 12 weeks 2 days ago | ya |
i remember barry switzer bitching up a storm over this. then proceeded to have his perceived #1 okla team get pasted in his bowl game. |
| 12 weeks 3 days ago | mattison |
is definitely not in it for the long haul. i could see him retiring in a couple years. i hope not, but it wouldn't shock me. |
| 12 weeks 3 days ago | big 12 > big 10??? |
i highly doubt that, given their recent defections. |
| 12 weeks 3 days ago | ya |
i was at the msu game where he threw 7 INTs. |
| 12 weeks 5 days ago | ... |
...and no rapes...this week. |
| 12 weeks 5 days ago | izzo's quote |
could have a double meaning there. |
| 12 weeks 6 days ago | no history? |
you're kidding right? so Jud Heathcoate's 20 years there and the nat'l title with kelser and magic wasn't historic? Jud also won 3 big ten titles and had numerous tourny appearances. but you probably weren't born yet, but hey. |
| 12 weeks 6 days ago | funny |
i remember about 20 years ago a minny gopher WR named Couch from Davenport, Iowa. no kidding. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | GRIII |
played 33 min. i don't think that's overplaying him. i do recall one of the earlier games when he played 40 min and was ineffective. that said, bielfeldt could play 3 min per half to spell him; like spike does for burke. just don't make those substitutions at the same time please. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | movement |
simple movement can create shots, ie. backdoor cuts. periodically, i would like to see GRIII and stauskus criss-cross along the baseline to try and mix things up instead of just standing in the corner. going back a ways, i remember richard rellford going back and forth continually along the baseline. he seemed to get a couple alley oops per game just by doing that. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | we benefited from a few calls |
but in general we drove the basket more this game. GRIII got hacked several times around the rim; to go along with his 4 alley oop dunks. stauskus got fouled a few times around the basket too. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | he |
obviously played a lot better on O today; not just the alley oopps but he got a few loose balls. hopefully a confidence builder. he still hasn't knocked down an outside shot in quite awhile. we need that part of his game back too. and his D still needs some work. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | morgan |
rotates on D a helluva lot better than our other bigs. many more layups are being made in recent weeks. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | another |
goddamn layup on D. morgan is probably worth 8-10 pts on D alone vs our other bigs. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | horford |
is a foul magnet |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | but |
it looked like it bounced off the shot clock to me |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | big ten refs |
horford mugged that guy, but i will take it. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | shocking |
two made 3s over vogrich in his two minutes of play. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | GRIII |
no doubt about it. i guarantee the alley oop to him was a point of emphasis in practice this week. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | vogrich in? |
seriously? |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | GRIII |
is waking up. keep it up dude. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | why |
are we forcing passes to horford in the post? |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | it begins with good D |
the team is playing the perimiter way to hard for a team that can't shoot, imo, leading to way too may drives and cuts to the basket. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | actually |
that would have been preferable as it turns out |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | GRIII |
set up the alley oop buzzer shot. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | morgan |
played the first 5 min and i don't think he's played since. this ankle thing might linger for a while, unfortuneately. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | then |
it should be embarrassing if they can't guard them man to man. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | finally |
GRIII is cutting to the basket instead of just standing on the perimiter. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | ok |
the plague has spread from GRIII to stauskus. becoming a major liability on both ends of the court. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | good lord |
can't anyone play defense anymore. no reason for bielfeldt to get burned on a cut 15 ft from the basket from that guy. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | burke! |
i wish someone else would help him out a bit. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | stauskus |
can't guard anyone. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | horrible |
those last two shots by hardaway and mcgary were terrible with that much time on the shot clock. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | agree |
it's like our bigs play afraid around the rim. they appear to look behind them for a block instead of just attacking the rim. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | OK |
there's some D. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | stauskus |
getting owned on D again. his guy has 11 pts already. |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | still |
cannot make bunnies. unreal. |
| 13 weeks 5 days ago | rake his arm???? |
the ball was 11 feet in the air by the time berggren approached burke. no way in hell burke rakes his arm. the more likely outcome would have been a flagrant foul, which would be even worse. |
| 13 weeks 6 days ago | spike rule |
i've always thought the spike rule was stupid. for years i've been saying they should just have a timeout-like signal. so after a play, the offense could signal the ref, then just have some time (ie. 10 sec) run off the clock. then the clock would stop until the snap. this whole running up the field, waiting for the O and D to get set, then spike the ball seems silly to me. |
| 13 weeks 6 days ago | spot on |
it's called being a team leader. i hope he even becomes more vocal and pushes the younger players. |
| 14 weeks 5 hours ago | GRIII |
It depend s on him. If he c omes back to a viable scorer we are hard to stop. If he is useless we are oretty easy to stop. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | even their scrubs |
are outworking our scrubs. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | hahaha |
i will just take a win against penn st at this point. it's like when i play a par 3 course in order to get my confidence back in my golf game. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | vogrich |
just saw him on the bench. even akunne gets to play over him. and he's a senior on his last trip to breslin. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | i make this fucking |
team hitchhike home. to lose is one thing. but to not give any effort is complete bullshit. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | perhaps another record |
has a team ranked #1 as late as Jan ever lost by 30? |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | funny |
in Dec. wasn't he ranked the #9 player in the upcoming nba draft. hahahahahaha. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | GRIII |
get off the court. take a week off. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | wow |
can't even do basic things like pass and dribble anymore. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | GRIII |
is the main problem. you can't have a useless player at the #4 position in the big 10. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | GRIII |
gets beat down the court. fucking hustle. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | fuck |
even valentine hits a 3. and another horseshit pass for a TO. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | burke |
ok here come the 25 ft prayers. we may lose by 30. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | spike |
why is playing? he can't guard anyone on the floor. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | fuck this |
seriously! mcgary and morgan the two guys up top? shocking! bad pass turnover. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | call |
the fucking foul!!! |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | burke |
even he is letting it get to him. head out of ass please. |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | again |
no fucking box out |
| 14 weeks 10 hours ago | payne and nix |
have a combined 1 rebound yet we are getting killed on the boards. wtf? |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | ya |
his guy probably has 3 or 4 offensive rebounds too. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | GRIII |
keep him on the damn bench. he just stands there on watches sparty get rebounds. at least bielfeld will fight a bit. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | mcgary |
get a rebound on either end please. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | shit |
so much for trying to cut it under 10 with burke on the bench. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | beilein |
leave burke in!!!!! |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | keep standing around!!!! |
absolutely pathetic, no heart, hustle or desire. where's that novak guy??? |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | GRIII |
finally found his range |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | jesus christ stauskus |
play some D. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | GRIII |
out for the game please. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | levert |
5 on 3 and you stop and hold the ball. then mcgary with another TO. horrible. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | not really |
its called tough road games in the BIG |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | dakich |
so you can obliterate the shooter as long as you get a piece of the ball. what a horseshit comment. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | i agree |
give him a 10 min break on the bench. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | again |
piss poor D by stauskus. at least he hit a 3. |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | stauskus |
twice now he's let his man blow by him on the pick. play some D!!! |
| 14 weeks 11 hours ago | GRIII |
out please. does nothing on either end anymore. |
| 14 weeks 13 hours ago | mclimans |
if he sees the floor tonite we are in big trouble unless we are up by 20 with 2 min to go. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | you mean just twice a week. |
lord how grueling that must be for an 18 year old. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | c'mon |
if an 18 year old can't stay fresh while playing 32 min per game twice a week, then i have little faith in their ability. especially when the two you mention (stauskus and GRIII) basically just stand in one spot on offense for half of that time. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | totally agree |
it's mindboggling not having a horford or mcgary or GRIII on the inbounds passer. there's no way he can make that pass with a guy in his face. that coupled with levert's stupidity allowed the miracle to happen. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | sure |
the refs allowed a few common home-cooking calls for wisky. but to put the blame on the refs is dumb. i can think of at least 20 horrible shots/decisions/defensive lapses that cost us this game. those far outweigh the officiating. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | levert |
his 5 min of play this game was huge. in a negative way. missed all of his shots. and gave up the key 3s. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | wow |
just gave this fucking game away. i'm tired of these teaching moments. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | levert |
nice job buddy. can't check that dude?? |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | 6'10" |
and can't dunk that. what a joke. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | stauskus |
calling stauskus... |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | burke |
jack up some shit now. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | wtf!!! |
horrible coaching there beilein. remember osu. fuck!!!! |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | wow |
set up hardaway for even a tougher shot... |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | fouls to give |
use em |
