Just last week Ron told me that he wasn’t doing very well. That same phone call, Ron said how much Earle respected Jim H. When Earle dotted the “I” in script Ohio, Jim had sent a long letter congratulating him on the event. Ron thought that was a very classy move and he always refers to it when he sees me. Shea is the clear frontrunner at QB followed by a battle for QB2. Peters slight edge over DM. Milton has had a fantastic spring. A couple of home run balls yesterday to Black in stride over 60 yards and one to McDoom. DPJ, Black, Martin looking very good. Collins in the mix. Martin will give Perry a run for the money when he returns. TE’s McKeon, Gentry, Eubanks. All of them are looking good. JBB getting pushed by Hudson. Bredeson, Ruiz, Onwenu, Runyan. Runyan has made a big move. Hard to see him losing the RT spot to anyone. Higdon and Evans 1-2. Ambry Thomas will start at Nickel and pushing the CB’s. Lots of run while Hill was out. Ross and Gil in a heated battle and playing well. Jeter getting some high praise. Singleton looking good behind Bush. |

Yes, obviously things are worked out well ahead of time. The facts are in favor of eligibility. Hence, by all accounts he will play this fall. Ole Miss had to take the stance that they did even though we hoped they wouldn’t. FACT. It is still in the hands of the NCAA. A decision has not been rendered as of yet. |
