Volleyball against a ND grad, went to get a ball that was rolling away, and my speed wasn't enough for the ND grad who quipped, "is that the best effort that a Michigan grad can muster?".
We proceeded to smash it down her throat to the tune of a 21-9 drubbing. I don't care if you are a woman, trash talk is fightin' words.

Dat WatchESPN app, homie!

Although there is a stipulation that if the player has no real impact on the team's ability to win that they can act as that season's "fall guy". That way, nobody can say that OSU doesn't discipline it's players.

That it was not a football or AD decision, but from the university. Hopefully the kid can straighten things out and get healthy for their beatdown in 2017.

Stopped listening to 89X years ago after returning from Wisconsin. They had better rock stations in America's Dairyland, and when I got back, 89X sounded like what I imagine a wet blanket sounds like. The new alternative just isn't as good as the old alternative, and new rock/metal is killing alternative IMO. Bad time to have 89X's format.

A lot of people at Brian's favorite metro-Detroit Canadian alternative rock station got their start at Specs!

Just add that to the endless list of instances ESPN wasted my time.

We need to obsess over one man's decision to not stand at attention for the national anthem. ESPN creates drama just so they have something to report on. Move it along please - some of us are starving for news from the submarine (even if it it's non-news, it's our non-news).

They are delaying the Harbaugh interview for this once in a century event, so maybe they'll ask him about the decision in Denver.

Likely saw him play, but I'd argue that Tom Harmon would take #1, even today. Dude was lights out, got a standing ovation in Columbus, and got shot down multiple times in service to his country, and that's not everything. Gonna be an interesting Top 4.

If it's something I don't drink often, regardless of availability, I'll enjoy it. I can buy Delirium anywhere around me typically, but I don't because it's way more expensive per oz. than standard beer.
However, I think the best beers are those that come from someone who wants you to try something they love. Sure, I might not love it like they do, but I get to experience something that somebody I care about likes, and that becomes something we can enjoy in the future together. I do this with my dad when I get him beer, because he doesn't go to the bar as often as I do.

Of some good beer (Good beer, dammit! Bud Light Lime is NOT a good beer!), or a large bottle/can of something special, like Delirium Nocturnum/Tremen.

Are cool, but I imagine the owners that put cats on Roombas are definitely the kind of people to put a sweater on a dog who seriously does not need a sweater. The swat to the face is still funny, regardless.

Stephen King's "The Dark Half" at the beginning of the summer. Since starting it, I've read 3 other books:
"Mossflower", childhood classic
"Miss Peregrine's...Children", better than I thought
"2001: A Space Odyssey" , amazingly entertaining for a short read
I have yet to finish "The Dark Half". Not Mr. King's finest work, IMO.

I'm not sure I get it. Are we insinuating that Blake may've been drinking that day? (Of course he wasn't.) Or was there something else that I missed? Please advise.

1984 Harbaugh sure as hell wouldn't have just finished 3rd for the Heisman, and they would rename it the Harbaugh.

I'd like for Seth to change his Diary of the Week to be "Diary Dude of the Week" in honor of Don Brown's grading system.

Like a true follower of HARBAUGH! If they don't specify, do it until they make a rule, then make fun of Hugh Freeze and finally find ways around that new rule as well. Rinse, repeat.

It's a sports blog, but the offseason is long. Being grumpy over a car thread in the middle of June is unecessary, and won't help your stress levels. I find that the best solution for a slow day on the blogs is to take a walk or get some work done, maybe go tubing down the Huron if it's nice. Lots of fun stuff to do outside of football season.

If I spot a microaggression or feel that my safe space is violated? Asking for a friend who goes to U. of Chicago.
