my favorite line was 'last

my favorite line was 'last years offense wins that game'. you mean last years offense that scored a whopping 17 points in a game without 40 mph winds? seriously? all it took was one loss for brian to erupt into a RR loving moron.

as usual

you are an idiot. you blame the poor throws by denard on the system. he made the same bad throws last year.

1st quarter – the interception on the screen pass to Vincent smith. This ball was horribly overthrown. There was an nd lineman in front of denard but he was engaged by a Michigan OL and didn’t even contest the pass. He didn’t need to put that much air under the ball.

2nd quarter – denard rolled out right and threw back to Hemmingway who was one on one. The pass was not even close. Odds are Hemmingway comes up with the catch if the pass is anywhere near him.

2nd quarter – roundtree is open on a corner route and the ball is overthrown. The ball grazed roundtree’s hands but it’s a very difficult catch. The pass should have been more accurate.

2nd quarter – a big 3rd down and Hemmingway is WIDE open on an out. Easy first down but the ball is thrown behind him. Again, accuracy issues.

3rd quarter – denard floats a ball to gallon double covered on a post for an INT. mccolgan is wide open on a wheel route up the sideline.

4th quarter – another 50/50 ball thrown to gallon guarded by Blanton (6’2” corner). INT in the end zone.

4th quarter – just under 2 minutes left. Right before the smith screen for a score. Hemmingway runs a post route and is single covered. Denard misses badly on what should have been an easy pitch and catch.

these are denard problems. you're so blinded by your love for him that you can't even be the least bit critical of him when he makes bad plays?

i was

wondering what x-pac was doing these days.

miss him??

you must miss being the laughing stock of the B1G also.

TYPICAL D-BAG COMMENTS

"Other services will probably be a bit less generous but if they finish strong it's easily a top five class, which will spur yet another round of Brady Hoke grape peeling in the media, which will help recruiting down the line unless those pesky game things get in the way."

i'm seriously beginning to think that hoke could win every game and x-pac would still find something to piss and moan about. hypocrite.

Heininger

up to 295!!! he gained like 30 lbs. good for him. we need him to spell rvb or martin.

nothing drove me more insane last year than patterson coming in for martin playing at about 250lbs and getting steamrolled every play.

mike jones

mike jones up from 208 to 224

key this year

will be denards ability to accurately throw the deep ball. he missed a few wide open deep balls last year.

tremendous

i still want DOB also

troll

ass clown troll. only a nd fan would not see the difference between the two. there is no guarantee stonum even makes it to next week more or less next year given his track record. floyd lost nothing. spring practice? for an all american senior? come on dude. kelly is a joke. keep sticking up for a guy that killed a kid. d-bag.

as usual

brian is trashing hoke for no reason. predicting a 2014 doom already? seriously x-pac? i never once heard a complaint when your boy rich recruited 20 slots and left our current lines thin as hell. hypocrite.

good news

with godin. these kids are going to have a chance to play right away on both lines.

i like the

fact that the staff is still working on elite CB prospects. you can't have enough cover corners, especially with the uncertainty of where the 2011 & 2012 DB commits will eventually play. as for richardson, if he takes vists then we can't really count him as a commit IMO.

countess

did you see denard light up when the guy asked about blake? kid must be making an impression early.  the future looks good with avery, countess and brown at CB (not to mention hollowell and taylor).

i'm also a big fan of dileo. you could tell from his HS film that the kid knows how to play wr, especially in the slot.

i'm hoping

for a DT commit this weekend. i'd really like 2 DT's but i'm trying not to get greedy. wormley, a DT (or 2) and a WR plus maybe a 2013 kid. not asking for much.

people

like brian, tim and this mispogan character are hypocrites. they rail against anyone that said anything negative about rich, coming to his defense at every turn (sometimes justified, sometimes not). rich medicalled zirbel. i didn't have a problem with that and i don't think any of them did either. rich may or may not have run off mallett, boren and numerous others but they never had a problem with that. yet, they all have taken every chance to treat hoke the same way they precieve others treated rich. teric, talbott and pace were all injured seriously BEFORE hoke was hired. a UNBIASED person would think LOGICALLY and come to the conclusion that hoke took the spring to analyze each players status and make a decision before practice starts in august. that is exactly what happened.

maybe these three players wanted out. who knows? until we hear from them or the staff we won't know. so what do the 3 blind men do? toss around accusations against our head coach without any evidence at all. and the three of you talk about the free press? you are just as bad.

HYPOCRITES.

we all

knew talbott, pace and teric were injured. we all knew there was a good chance they would be off the team due to medical issues. there is no way you can keep 3 players on scholarship if they have little chance of even sniffing the practice field because of injury.

people who have a problem with it are the ones that have had a problem with hoke since his hire. they are the same hypocrites that called out people for accusing rich of running off mallett and boren, yet they are doing the same to hoke.

uncalled for?

it's a flat out dick statement. nothing to support it yet he states it anyways at the bottom of the writeup. everyone knew pace and t.jones were hurt before hoke was even hired.

wormley

needs to end it and commit this weekend.

love ross

he looks like a tackling machine in the videos i've seen. i'm still trying to find his neck.

how is the idea

of moving him to FB a disservice? we have a glaring need at FB and this kid is probably the best qualified to make the move. he's big, tough, elusive, can catch & run and has the intellignece to make the move to FB. IMO, i think he's a play maker at the position, something not many teams can say.

you just hate the idea of having a FB on the field.

jake ryan

they won't be able to keep him off the field. i think we'll see a gordon-demens-ryan LB group that will be a vast improvement over what we saw the last couple of years.

i think

any of the current commits could slide inside without a problem. the issue is who can play tackle. i think magnuson and braden are tackles. kalis would be very good but i think he'll be a hutchinson-like guard. bars can slide either way i think and stacey is an interior lineman. in short, i think there is room in this class for a premier guard or tackle. the versatility of the current commits is a huge bonus.

the roster

when lloyd left was very thin offensively....mostly due to graduation. it's lloyd's fault that players graduate??? it's not lloyds fault that manningham and arrington saw the writing on the wall and bolted. blame lloyd for mallett, that's reasonable but it's normal to have a young qb leave after a coaching change. boren bolted because of the new staff, unless you think lloyd told him to go to o$u (i'm sure x-pac does). defensively, the team was pretty good but the new staff destroyed it with idiotic schemes instead of just letting them play and some players just packed it in....again, not lloyds fault.

the previous staff did leave hoke with some very good weapons offensively, but they left hoke with gaping holes to fill on defense and special teams. offensively, we have zero depth on the oline. whose fault is that?

x-pac still has a man crush on rich. he'll take every opportunity to destroy hoke every chance he gets. he wasn't objective the last 3 years, blatantly making excuse after excuse for the failures of rodriguez (he is the one that hired robinson and forced the 3-3-5 down his throat). and he won't be objective with hoke. he hated the hire from the beginning.

it's ok

but i was turned off right away with brians letter to the editor. one line in particular...

'there were many factors in michigans implosion the last 3 years-many of them directly traceable to carr...'

more excuses from brian for his man-crush rich. time to move on. you sound like a high school girl that got dumped at the prom x-pac.

other things i didn't like. no mention of the freshman rb's in that section. a picture of jake long where will campbell should be (does anyone review this before it hits the press).

brian

will somehow find a way to make this lloyd's fault...just like everything else.

i'm refreshing

Tom's twitter just in case the site crashes. i imagine tom will be on top this.

this blog

and more speicifically, the main writers went to the shitter midway through the Rich era. brian and company were so blinded by their mancrush on rich that they failed to see what was right in front of them...an epic failure. brian's utter disgust of the hoke hire portrayed him as a hypocrite and most times he came off as a monumental d-bag. x-pacs little brother will now spend the next few years tearing hoke apart after every game regardless of the outcome when he blamed everyone else but the previous staff for their failures.

thank god for TomVH.

is this

going to be an every other day thing until the season starts? two articles pissing and moaning about the offense before they even start fall practice. we were top 10 in total offense last year but only had 57 TD's, which ranked us somewhere in the high teens. that means one of two things, we either turned it over or the offense stalled in the red zone.

you love rich rod and the offense. we get that. you've been blindly preaching that the last 3 years. fact is, it didn't work. the offense was a blast when we played indiana, illinois, nd and mac teams but where was it against msu, the first 3 quarters against iowa, the first half against psu and wisconsin or last two games against osu and miss st? all i saw was a bunch of 3 and outs or turnovers that forced our swiss cheese defense be on the field even longer than usual.

you were against hoke and company from the beginning, so i don't expect you to be fair in your analysis once games begin in september.

finally, i double dog dare you to post one rant without mentioning rodriguez or the 'spread and shred'. it's over. let it die.

good

use the qb spot to take both o'brien and pipkins.

quiz bowl????

seriously?

http://youtu.be/c_GFzFqyaRc?hd=1

no way

you take this kid unless it's the end of the signing year and we have a spot open. seems like a decent qb but i think we take a really good one or none at all unless we have an open spot. i'd much rather have 2 DT's in the class than a so-so qb.

duplicate

delete????

you didn't see the exact article i posted 2 hours earlier....

i guess

we'll see just how big he is when the roster comes out. i like the kid from what i've seen on film and read. i don't buy the graham comparison as he was much bulkier and less athletic. i have no issues with a fast, athletic kid that likes to hit.

why

is everyone so on edge about this. we might have 2 medicals from what it looks like. add in the annual 2-3 transfers and include a few of 5th's not renewed and we get to the number.

come on dude

don't fuck around with us

god bless the kid

he can get a full ride elsewhere but is willing to sacrifice to go to michigan. welcome jeremy.

that being said, we still better get wilson.

bo

here is a good write up on Bo. Sounds like a steal to get this kid to walk-on.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/437517-dont-you-know-bo-2012-illinois-high-school-recruit-bo-dever-is-here

does anyone know why we will only take one DT in this class?? i can't imagine hoke would pass up an opportunity to take both pipkins and o'brien. i say load up on all the quality OL and DL you can. take 3 more DL and 3 more OL. that leaves 4 spots i think. S (wilson) is def one and then either one RB and two WR (i might include thompson in this) or the opposite (a HB and FB with one WR).
bryant and posada

i think both bryant and posada from the last class both project as guards. in this class, i think stacey is a guard. odds are, any of these guys (except diamond) can move inside.

reds

a 18-20 signed photo of pete rose, joe morgan, johnny bench and tony perez that my wife got me for a wedding gift and a hat signed by rose (pete told me he better not see this on ebay).

olson

isn't the last OL were getting. as long as we get diamond, i'm fine with anyone else. peat would be a bonus but he's not even a michigan lean right now. i want the staff to add as many quality OL and DL as they can this class. if that is 6 each, then so be it. a QB or RB in this class is a luxury not a need.

i can see

a number of recruits currently listed as 3* players being bunped up to 4* by the time november rolls around. add in diamond, thurston, pipkins, washington, wormley, stanford, wilson and a wild card like kiel or dunn/garmon and we have a top 5 class IMO. i like what hoke has done. he secured the state first, reached out to ohio and is now looking to expand nationally.

good to see brian has joined the Hoke-maniacs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIfNtUttcYk

i don't think

we're as bad off wr wise as some may think......at least for 2012.  hemmingway, odoms, stonum and grady are seniors. what we have left is.....

roundtree - rs jr

stokes - jr

robinson - rs jr

jackson - so

dileo - so

gallon - rs so

robinson - rs fr

that list does not include sayed, who from all accounts was a div I type player that accepted a walk on or ricardo miller going between wr and te. also, i imagine justice hayes could handle playing wr since he was mentioned as a slot possibility when recruited by the previous staff.

we can get by with taking one this year but it gets very thin after next year.  this year the staff seems committed to using most of our recruiting resources to bolster the o-line and our front 7 on defense..and we can't blame them one bit. i imagine the focus next year will be on more skill players and evening out the distribution a bit.

my biggest problem with this is the fact that we wasted a year on stokes when he should have been redshirted.

great addition

now we have to get some DT's and a couple more OL's. am i crazy for stil thinking there is hope for o'brien to keep the in-state train rolling????

turner gill

former nebraska QB

prominently??

i guess if you think about 12 of the 31 seconds indicates 'prominent'.

i'm not as 'impending doom' as brian

when it comes to the LB's. demens and gordon are locks and i think one of jones, ryan, jb fitz or herron steps up and plays reasonably well. we have more options this year.

nice to see

van slyke doing good things. his grandfather is a judge in the town where i live. he should be a good ST player at least. i expect some big contributions from ryan and marvin this year.

Rainman

almost bankrupt vegas and he was a re-tard
