I checked on the MGoBlue site but I didn't see any mention of it. You'd think they would say something about it. The Notre Dame game a few years ago was amazing, but I remember there being advanced notice about it. I haven't heard a peep about tomorrow night. Seems strange.

Maybe I am wrong, but where can you find HDR content that doesn't also benefit from a 4k display? I understand that they are two seperate things, but from a marketing standpoint, they almost always are tied together. Xbox One S.... 4K with HDR. Amazone Prime, it seems to get HDR content, the shows are also in 4k Ultra HD. You need a 4k Blu Ray play to get HDR. In other words, 4k and HDR are almost always tied together.
So while you say 4k is a gimmck because of content, doesn't that also make HDR a gimmick if we go by your definition?
Don't get me wrong, I agree that HDR delivers a better visual performance benefit than simply upgrading from 1080p to 4k (when sitting at a normal viewing distance). In reality however, they both combine to create the experience.
The fact of the matter is, if you are going to get a new TV, get a TV that is both 4K and has HDR. The content for both is the same.
Not sure what Samsung Model you have, but you might want to look for a setting called 'Auto Motion Plus'. I noticed a fairly constant juddering on my Samsung TV when watching shows on Directv. It was almost as-if the show was pausing for a few milliseconds every few seconds during the show. It was very annoying and I thought there was something wrong with my TV. After doing some research I discovered that Samsung's Auto Motion Plus engine causes issues, especially with Directv. Once I turned Auto Motion Plus off, my picture was smooth as a baby's butt. Since you can set the picture settings by source, I just set that off just for Directv and leave it on for the other sources. It doesn't seem to affect Netflix and Amazon at all.
Give it a try, maybe it will help with you juddering as well.
Since you are bringing kids, have you considered buying tickets in the 'kidzone'? $40 each and you could probably get all 10 together. Sounds like the pre-game band practice is something to try and fit in by all the positive comments. I’ll definitely get there early enough to see that. I’ll also look up the parking locations per the numerous suggestions noted on here. I’ll keep reading to see if anyone else has experiences to share, but I wanted to jump in and say thank you to everyone for all the information.
In the OP's defense, the graduate assistant coach does look very similar to Devin during the game footage. He isn't the only person who wondered why Devin wasn't in uniform during the games. However, the pictures the OP provided as evidence are not very similar at all. Maybe someone could grab a screenshot from the game footage, it would likely be more compelling.
I wasn't supposed to share this, but Hoke's got Denard as the starting kicker on the 2011 depth chart. I know there are a lot of doubters out there.... see a pic taken from my iphone to prove it....
I would think that other coachs (Harbaugh, Miles, etc.) would stand a better chance of bringing in the big name recruits. How would Hoke do in this regard? He may be a good coach, but to win BIG10 games were going to need to bring in talent.
