FINALLY someone else see's

FINALLY someone else see's what I see.  I have been saying DG isn't a QB for a while now.

Really looking for Shane to take over by B1G season.

People think Dennis Norfleet

People think Dennis Norfleet can be an asset and that makes me hate him.

I also hate that UM has been "young" for the last 8 years.

The kind of lights out

The kind of lights out offense that puts up 14 points against a vaunted Mississippi State Deffense.

The Claddagh in Livonia was awesome 4 years ago. I think they were claiming to be the WC bar of Michigan.

Like most WC bars you have to get there very early to get a seat.

Hard for an offensive Hard for an offensive coordinator to get 8-9 out of the box when your QB is a turnover machine. It's no coincidence Devins turnovers disappeared when Borges started running the same run plays into 8-9 guys in the box. He tried letting Devin throw early in the year and make his own reads and he couldn't do it. People always cite ND and. OSU games but neither of those teams consistently sent 8-9 guys at Devin which was retarded. Nuss is going to find out the same thing about Devin when the lights come on. He doesn't have it mentally. Keep an eye on what Utah does this year. My guess is Shane starts the '2nd half of that game.
Max Biefeldt's 38 career

Max Biefeldt's 38 career points reminds me of Dennis Shortfleets 6 career catches.

I'm not sure why people aren't messing themselves for more Max.

Sam Webb isn't as connected Sam Webb isn't as connected as he once was. Lindsey was told the day after he visited he wouldn't be admitted, yet Sam didn't have a clue. Point being, take it with a grain of salt.
Hoke had success with Carr's Hoke had success with Carr's guys. They were the glue. He's failing with the slop RR left him and in some cases he wasn't even left slop, he was left air. Our offensive line says hi. This year and next are Hokes years to prove he's the right man for the job. This blog will end up loving Hoke when it's all said and done. Go back and read Molk's and Martin's quotes on Hoke. It'll make you miserable people feel better.
That was actually Bo who That was actually Bo who initially said that to MSC and Coach Carr while coach Carr was still coaching.

Bowl game. Spring game Stepped up in the pocket. Scanned the field and threw a strike. The next time Gardner does that will be the first.
As I've been stating since As I've been stating since January, Shane will be your starting QB by the start of B1G play. Devin can't function under pressure and after his 3rd TO game which will come more than likely against Utah, Shane will take over. Sorry Brian the dog
Cry me a river.
Surprised
Cry me a river. Surprised Brian hasn't chimed in that Norfleet could replace Horford. Get Norfleet minutes! There's class for you
We could replace Horford with We could replace Horford with the tallest kid playing intramural and it would only be a slight drop off. I said this three years ago, Horford is at best a MAC level role player. If he really wants playing time Hope College is probably his best option. Maybe GVSU but he'd have to work to start there too. Good luck Jon. Hope you know what you're doing.
JB will approach this game

JB will approach this game like he has every game before this.   There is a routine the team is in right now, he will not stray from it.

You never want to instill in your players that a game doesn't matter, especially in March.  I expect a 10pt victory and it's business as usual out there.

He produced the three most

He produced the three most horrific years in Michigan football history.  That is why he was a bad fit.

That play never had a

That play never had a Michigan player within 25 feet of the basket...  In a tie ball game, you attack the rim.  When the other team has deployed a 6ft 6in center because their 7 footer is out, you attack the basket.  You especially attack the basket when it's tied and you only need 1pt to win.

Everything worked out, so it's hard to complain about much.  Luck was finally on our side.

If we lose that game in OT, that last play in regulation, JB's timeout with 2.9 seconds left and the play that won it would be criticized to no end.

But again we won, so props to JB.

I've been saying this for

I've been saying this for years now as good as a coach JB is his last second plays, whether it be to end the half or the game, are atrocious.

Last year it was nothing but Trey Burke for a long contested three.

Last night it was Stauskas for a long contested three at the end of regulation.  Then at the end of OT I'm not sure wtf that was.

Possibly but I do know Jordan

Possibly but I do know Jordan Morgan ended up on Terrone Johnson at the end of the game because Michigan switches everything.

"I am still suspicious of his

"I am still suspicious of his awareness on defense—his dude, Rapheal Davis, had five offensive rebounds"

Brian you do realize Michigan switches everything on defense right?

Just because someone plays the 4 doesn't mean they are automatically guarding the 4 on the other team at all times.  This isn't a video game.

I specifically stated I was guessing in my first post.  Where are these absolute statements you're talking about?

Have to stop the run before

Have to stop the run before you worry about stopping the pass?

The move with Ryan tells me that Pipkins may not be back for awhile and they aren't sure if they have a viable replacement for him yet.  Assuming guys will be getting free to our Linebackers on a consistent basis again, Ryan is the only one built to mix it up in the middle and help with run support.

That's the only guess I can come up with.

I think they try this in the spring, but scrap it half way through...

True story

Everything Ace listed are

  • Everything Ace listed are outcomes from switching everything on D.

    • Rebound (9th in B1G)
    • Steal the ball (11th)
    • Block shots (12th)
    • Defend two-pointers (12th)
    • Get back in transition
    • Identify assignments and execute switches/rotations on time

Wish we showed some toughness and fought through the occasional screen instead of handing the player off to our teammate.   Eventually the other team will get a mismatch and if good enough, will have no problem exploiting it.

We switched last year, but not nearly as much as we are doing this year.  We got after it at times on Defense last year and fought through screens.  This year, not so much.

Someone should have told Hoke

Someone should have told Hoke he should have won 3 games in 2011 that way he could show progression no matter what.

Maybe he can give back the Sugar Bowl Trophy?

Soooo RR was brought in soley

Soooo RR was brought in soley to run a fun offense?  He wasn't brought in to actually win games?  Well mission accomplished I guess.

Hey Rich you only won 15 games in 3 years but you beat up on UConn and Indiana.  Wow What a ride!!!

It sure is, but that's what

It sure is, but that's what happens when you have single digit upperclassmen on the team.

We were going in the right

We were going in the right direction?

RR's offense was a complete failure against the top half of the B1G.  RR's defense was a complete failure against any team that could field 11 players.

I guess if you start your tenure off at 3 wins, there's no place to go but up.

Yeah, okay.   If he were

Yeah, okay.   If he were coach, we'd likely be waiting for our first bowl birth.

I blame Martin for begging Carr to come back one more year and then settling on hiring RR in the first place.   Our program began it's rapid decline when Lloyd decided to come back for 2007.

The thought process inside

The thought process inside the athletic department is this is a result of RR, not Hoke's doing.   You can't skip 2 years of offensive line recruiting and expect everything to be business as usual.

We are still paying the price for RR's incompetence while he was here.   Probably won't fully recover from that human death penalty until 2015.

This is what happens when you

This is what happens when you switch everything.

At this level, if you are switching everything, a good coach is going to run his offense until he gets the match up he wants, and then exploit it.

That is what's happening to us right now.

Hahaha I think Tom Izzo's

Hahaha I think Tom Izzo's legacy will be just fine.

As much as we all hate Tom

As much as we all hate Tom Izzo he is still one of the best coaches in CBB  history.  I'm really suppose to believe he is scared to diminish his head to head record with UM????  Come on you people can't be serious.

If Izzo jumps to the NBA I assure you him being "scared" of Michigan has nothing to do with it.

And this is the mindset of

And this is the mindset of the people that run this site...

Very telling Seth.
