Then we just disagree completely. I have a hard time evisioning Michigan as a favorite against any of those teams except maaaybe South Carolina. Honestly, there might be 4 or 5 teams at best in the top 25 that we would be favored over on a neutral field... and to me thats a stretch.
|9 weeks 4 days ago||Yeah.||
It would require either Hatch coming in as an immediate medical hardship, or possibly the coaches giving Horford the firm handshake... the latter of which seems unlikely unless Horford wants out. Or, like you said, someone unexpected leaves the programs.
|9 weeks 4 days ago||Disagree.||
Do you honestly believe that Michigan is one of the ten best teams in the country? I certainly haven't seen it.
|11 weeks 2 days ago||Bummer.||
That really sucks. But, maybe the Lions can put Steve Breaston to work. Or maybe Braylon?
|11 weeks 5 days ago||Really?||
I kinda thought their QB looked pretty good. Their defense is suspect but they've come a long way from Kill's first season.
|13 weeks 4 days ago||My God.||
Suh with a classic stupid penalty... followed by a pick. Why am I watching this again?
|13 weeks 4 days ago||Boilerquest?||
Or does their dominating victory over mighty Indiana State automatically disqualify them?
|13 weeks 4 days ago||Yeesh.||
That is certainly something. I still think that they will beat a few teams this season because of their defense alone... but my original 9-3 prediction is lookin pretty dumb right about now.
|13 weeks 4 days ago||Purdue.||
Holy hell they are bad. I would put Iowa in just barely above that... with Indiana/Minnesota duking it out as the token "mostly bad team but will probably upset a team they shouldn't" team. Illinois might actually not be a complete tire fire, and MSU's defense alone will keep them hanging around most games they play.

but I'm about to be a Debby Downer. We have got to find a way to spread the ball around better...because sooner or later some team is going to figure out how to lock Gallon down. Funchess/Dileo/Chesson need to be more involved down the road... besides just blocking for Gallon downfield.

I wouldn't be totally shocked if his "people" put out some rumors of interest in order to leverage a new deal (as if he needs one), but leaving for Austin at this stage in his career would be a head-scratcher to say the least.
|13 weeks 4 days ago||That play was sweet.||
Pretty much all you can do is tip your cap and move on.
|13 weeks 4 days ago||I agree.||
I'd probably put them at 12 right now if I was a voter.
|13 weeks 4 days ago||I don't know if they will...||
but they definitely should, IMO.

Original Premium. Was originally going for the Heffeweisbier but bought this by mistake. Still, a nice way to wash down a fresh batch of white chicken chili I just conjured up.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||That was fast.||
That tweet is 3 minutes old and it's already on the board. Hopefully Drake has a speedy recovery.

|14 weeks 6 days ago||Yeah man.||
Granted he wasn't asked to do much other than a bazillion bubble screens, but he was solid. 4 TDs, 0 INTs and 412 yards.
|14 weeks 6 days ago||Meh.||
Doesn't State do this every season though? I bet they win 9 games easy with their easy schedule and defense alone.
|14 weeks 6 days ago||Tech.||
I'm actually cautiously optimistic about Tech so far. They are starting a true freshman walk-on at QB,and he has actually looked impressive save for a few terrible decisions over the middle. They're having some consistency issues, but not entirely unexpected. Also, Gilbert is turrible.
|15 weeks 2 days ago||Yeah.||
That looks pretty spot on. Shurbutt seems to think he is 220 lbs, but from that video I think that's a bit of an overstatement.
|15 weeks 2 days ago||I would hope so too...||
but the fact remains that there is likely a sizeable portion of students at U of M that feel the exact same way.
|15 weeks 2 days ago||Yeah...||
I like to make fun of the SEC as much as anyone else, but this is hardly an Alabama phenomenon. I bet if you interviewed Michigan students you would get a lot of similar responses.
|15 weeks 3 days ago||Well...||
In theory, Rawls should break tackles and run like a friggin' moose. But when it comes down to it, he just hasn't done it in games. For a guy with his size and stature he gets brought down way too easily.

This is the play that made me a Wolverines fan at 8 years old... and probably a big reason why I ultimately went to school there. Also, holy crap that was 18 years ago.

What can I say? I like the dude. Safety depth is pretty sketchy, as we have all discussed ad nauseum. I think he burns his redshirt, plays quite a bit more snaps than we are comfortable thinking about at the moment because either Furman isn't very good or Avery's nagging injuries continue through the season, and he acquits himself well. I have no data to support this claim, other than the fact that for whatever reason I think he is an underrated recruit and will be more game-ready than people give him credit for.

Football in 7 days. It's going to be a long week.

The busiest day of traffic in the blog's history was November 10th, 2011. Other than the Offensive UFR of the Iowa game, I can't find what was so special about that day.
EDIT: Nevermind... looks like it was the day after JoePa was fired. Interesting that the busiest day on the blog was the result of a non-Michigan related event.
EDIT EDIT: And it appears that I was wrong... because that is strictly Uniques. Pageviews were highest around The Process.

Exactly what I was getting at. I like the potential that our secondary has. If we can generate some pass rush from the front four, this defense has a chance to be very, very good.
