To me, the question is beyond absurd.

Picks would vary a great deal depending on what your opponent is doing.
Normally I'd say you take your QB first, but here it doesn't sound like we have a stand-out, so taking a QB before your opponent does is probably not much of an adavantage here (unlike picking Luck in 2010). I think that's true for RB and WR too on this team. Beliving that your O lives and dies by its OL, and your D by its middle, mine would look something like this (factoring in that it sounds like we have one stand-out TE):
(1) Cole, OT.
(2) Peppers, S (or Lewis, CB, if Peppers is gone).
(3) Butt, TE.
(4) Morgan, LB.
(5) Kugler, C (assuming, as I suspect, he's the only decent C we have right now).
(6) Henry, DT.
(7) Kalis, OG.
(8) Mone, DT.
(9) Mags, OT/OG.
(10) Ross, LB.
(11) Lewis, CB (or Countess, if Lewis is gone).
Of course I would insert one each at QB, RB, and WR (probably immediately) after my opponent took his. For QB I'd probably take Morris, Speight if Morris is gone. RB I'd probably take Smith, Green if Smith is gone. WR I'd take Darboh, Cole if Darboh is gone.

Naturalist Ernest Thompson Seton described the wolverine as "[A] tremendous character . . . a personality of unmeasured force, courage, and achievement so enveloped in a mist of legend, superstition, idolatry, fear, and hatred, that one scarcely knows how to begin or what to accept as fact. Picture a weasel--and most of us can do that, for we have met the little demon of destruction, that small atom of insensate courage, that symbol of slaughter, sleeplessness, and tireless, incredbile activity--picture that scrap of demoniac fury, multiply that mite by some fifty times, and you have the likenes of a wolverine."

Best board post I've seen here in a long time. A little surprised to see such Harbaugh passion coming from you, though, Coach.

(1) Jim H. (2)/(3) Les M. or John H.
The rest in something of an order: Patterson, Peterson, Gruden, Cowher, Dungy, Fitzgerald, Ferentz, Edsall, Mullen.

There was a moment when I thought maybe Ace, but no. Brian wins, IMO.

As usual, I enjoyed the post and appreciate your good work. But you'll have to excuse me as using this as the one opportunity to get this off my chest. The “Where was the ‘Luck of the Irish’ during the potato famine?” sign struck me as being in very poor taste. When I saw that I just thought, "Wow, way to make everyone watching Game Day think Michigan fans are just a bunch of dicks." And I'm a long way from being a sensitive PC cop.There were complicating factors to the potato famine, most importantly serious repression by the English, which make that kind of joke closer to "Where was the luck of the Jews during the Holocaust?" than something funny.

Calling a blogger as good as Brian a journalist would be an insult to Brian.

As a resident of western Washington I do my best to care about the Seahawks (I don't always succeed). I've watched every Seahawks preseason game and Wilson has looked real good. But I'll be surprised if Flynn isn't the starter once the season starts.

Pretty sure they didn't have an 11-1 season. I think it was officially 0-12.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||I like it||
But it has exposed Ace as a Michigan-hating troll/mole. It took until, what, like the 18th round for him to draft a Wolverine, and he only took Campbell because he had to take a NT and all the others were taken. And he ripped on Heiko (or Seth) for drafting Barnum, who is awesome.

We have an '08 Forester XT and it is simply amazing in the snow. I also have a 4x4 F-150 and when there's a ton of snow on the ground I'll take the Forester over the truck--absolutely no question. The Subaru is just about unstoppable.

Fuller is supposedly 5-11. Kenney is supposedly 5-4. Not sure what's going on here, but she sure looks quite a bit more than 7 inches shorter than he is. She should go to the Doug Karsch school of making-yourself-look-very-tall-during-interviews.

I've been to a few Rose Bowls and never stayed anywhere near Pasadena.
Also: Eugene and its surrounding towns have hotels. I went to the Oregon v ASU game last year and we got a room about 4 miles from the stadium without much trouble.

I'm practically floating with euphoria right now. That is hands-down the funniest thing I have seen in a long, long time.

My son's first game was when he was 11 months (unless you count the game when my wife was 8.5 months pregnant), 2009 ND (Mathews caught the gsme winner about 12 feet from my face). His second game he was 23 months, 2010 UCONN. Both games he fell asleep and both games my wife took him out of the bowl to sit in the shade. That was vital. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have an understanding spouse or relative who wouldn't mind taking the kid out of the stands for long stretches.
They were great photo ops, and in both games all the surrounding fans were great and seemed to think it was cool--a lot of "good for you for starting him young" comments.
Do not forget that kids need a ticket no matter how young.
|3 years 5 weeks ago||It depends where you're going||
I lived there for 3 years and I can tell you there are certain routes (very popular ones, obviously) where the traffic is worse than it is in LA. There are routes where there is surprisingly little traffic, but there are some that are just a total nightmare. It all depends on where you are staying and where you are going.
That said, it doesn't come close to Chicago. I did three years there and that is the worst traffic I have ever experienced, easily worse than LA and the Bay Area, two other places I've lived and are notorious for bad traffic.

I lived there for 3 years and was happy to leave and never plan on moving back. Though I also got sick of the weather, which most people have a hard time understanding.
